15/09/2025: Friendly gallery with artworks of local, national and international significance. Overheard a very knowledgeable guide as we were leaving, do we'll need to spend longer there next time we visit!
25/06/2025: Very detailed account of The Famine, so pretty harrowing in places.
Also contains information on the nature reserve, as well as a decent gift shop.

Caffè Nero

05/09/2025: Good bar as all the caffè nero but I like other locations more.
07/07/2025: Caffè Nero's website shows they are open to 6pm. On the door, it says they are open till 5.30pm. I am now standing in front of the door at 4.30pm - the door is locked, the lights are off and there is absolutely no sign of life inside. What is the point of misleading customers in this way?

Crabtree
05/04/2026: I was a little reluctant to leave a review on the crabtree because I want to keep it a secret !!, it's that good, this place has not changed in the 40 years I have been going there, quiet, cosy, great old atmosphere and the best Guinness I have ever had, check it out, but dont tell anybody else 👍.
PS. It dosent serve food... coz it dosent need too....

10/06/2025: Party of 4 travelers. Stopped in for a quick lunch. My wife had risotto and I had a spinach strudel. Both were far higher in quality than the price would have implied. The staff was super friendly. Strongly recommended! Can't go wrong...
09/05/2025: Tea in the sun trap garden in the back to kick off the holiday to Kerry.

Oasis Cafe
29/08/2026: We had veg and chicken burger menu. Service was too good but I can see many people gave bad reviews about service. Either they might have improved their service or we may be lucky on that day. Food was not that hot but taste was good. Fries could have been better.
