The best restaurants

08/09/2025: Got a delivery of half portion of salt and chilli chicken balls and chicken satay, very disappointed in the food and portion sizes. 3 scauldy chicken skewers for €8 odd, absolutely disgraceful, need to lower price or add more chicken for that price, chicken balls was full of salt couldn't eat them. Don't normally have a issue with the food here but whatever chef is on needs to relax on the salt and owner needs to look into the skewers portion size or price. Scandalous prices.

21/03/2025: Stopped here with my sister and mother before heading to a concert in Dublin. The sandwiches we ordered were massive and oh so delicious. The staff were so hospitable and the food came out hot and fast. It was the perfect feed to keep us going for the evening. Would highly recommend it and will be looking forward to returning when I am in the area again

09/11/2025: Tonight a bouncer took pleasure in listening on a very private conversation and decided to add his two cents, insulting my friend about a very private matter and commenting that she never stops talking. Very disappointed with this place…

02/09/2025: Spent a rainy evening watching the football in the bar with my girlfriend during our last trip to sligo. Really enjoyed the space and the young Australian barman was extremely good even offered to help us plan a pub quiz at the bars sister bar later that night and give us a run down of things on that week. Thought this was really good for people visiting and for the marketing of the bars .

16/09/2024: Fuimos al Lobster Pot por el 86 cumpleaños de mi querida madre. Desde el momento en que entramos por la puerta, nos trataron como a la realeza! ¡Le hicieron un escándalo tan encantador! Rachel, la gerente del restaurante, no podría haber sido más increíble de lo que era! Nuestra camarera, Bridie, era simplemente el mejor también! Desde el momento en que tomó nuestras bebidas y pedidos de comida, no pudo hacer lo suficiente por nosotros! Ella era tan educado y hablador y nos reímos mucho con ella! Cuando pedimos los postres, Rachel y Bridie se tomaron la molestia de cantar Feliz cumpleaños a mi madre y escribirlo en el plato de su postre! ¡Le alegró el día! Aparte del personal maravilloso, la comida era tan deliciosa! Tuvimos entrantes, plato principal y postres y cada plato fue maravilloso! Debo añadir que no es la primera vez que comemos aquí - cada visita es una experiencia increíble. Pero el hecho de que Rachel y Bridie se esforzaran por hacer el cumpleaños de mi madre tan especial, fue tan encantador! ¡Aferrarse a estos dos miembros del personal! Sin duda volveremos y muy pronto! Gracias por todo!

17/02/2025: Bonito menú, muy detallado , tenía los fideos vegetales , quería condimentarlos más por el lado más dulce , pero no estaba mal que las verduras estuvieran cargadas ! A mi marido le encantaba su pollo y arroz, la salsa estaba deliciosa! También pedimos platos para niños. ¡El arroz estaba bien cocido! Me encantó el servicio!

31/01/2025: La comida era buena, me dieron comida para llevar, pero la gente del mostrador no paraba de dirigir, pensaron que era grosero, estuvieron allí unos 10 minutos, pero siguieron dirigiendo.

18/06/2025: Il cibo era preparato bene e anche lo staff che lo preparava è stato veloce.Punto negativo che i clienti dopo aver pranzato volevano andare in bagno ma uno l'avevano già chiuso e nell'altro disponibile sono entrati due ragazzi del personale,con atteggiamento molto arrogante (un maschio e una femmina con i capelli rossi)dicendo che non si poteva più entrare, senza dare ulteriori spiegazioni....

Let's start with the location. What kind of masochist puts a restaurant on a rock in the Atlantic where Wi-Fi fears to tread and the wind sounds like it wants to kill you? After surviving the boat ride (which doubles as a nausea endurance test), we were greeted not by warmth or welcome, but by a building that looked like a concrete shoebox pretending to be minimalist. Inside, it didn’t get better. The decor screamed, “We spent all the money on Instagram lighting and forgot to buy chairs people can actually sit on.” The staff, though polite, had the kind of calm intensity you’d expect from people trying not to cry in front of customers. Now, the food. Oh, the food. Each plate looked like a modern art installation made from leftovers of a better restaurant. “Locally sourced” must be code for “we foraged this from the side of the road.” I had to use a magnifying glass to see my main course. I left hungrier than I arrived, but spiritually bruised. Wine list? More like “guess which bottle costs more than your flight here.” I wept quietly into my overpriced glass of something French while contemplating life choices. Overall, if you enjoy being broke, cold, and existentially confused, Inis Meáin Restaurant delivers. Otherwise, stay on the mainland and eat a sandwich.

23/04/2025: I’ve been here before ( Christmas 2023) and knew it to be good , so when our group of 8 people arrived I had reasonable expectations ! I was not disappointed . This was excellent food and great service in a lovely relaxed room . A broad choice , everybody was very happy

22/02/2025: I recently called in for a takeaway. The food is always amazing with generous size portions. However, while I was sitting in reception, a waiter came from the upstairs restaurant to make a cocktail. He made the cocktail and poured the cocktail into a glass, and what didn't fit in the glass he drank himself!!! Needless to say, I was quite shocked.... Disappointing, and extremely unprofessional, and an accident waiting to happen!!!!
