07/10/2025: A great bar with an awesome atmosphere, even on a quiet night! We popped in twice during our visit to Navan. The first night we came here (a Sunday) the place was packed & a group of musos were smashing out some tunes. We decided to come back for our last night in Ireland (Tuesday) & it’s a different experience but still enjoyable. Highly recommend!

From the moment you arrive, you step into an atmosphere where time seems to pause. The crackling fire and the grand chandelier at the center of the room create a setting that feels like another world, one you are fortunate enough to discover for the length of an evening. The welcome is impeccable, the cocktail list is rich and varied and every detail is chosen with taste and elegance. The buffet of starters is full of different tastes to enjoy, the main courses strike a perfect balance between creativity and local flavors, and the dessert buffet is the perfect sweet finale to a remarkable meal. The cocktails designed to accompany the desserts are nothing short of exceptional. Blairscove is a place not to be missed if you want to experience a magical escape, whether during a visit to West Cork or while planning a journey through Ireland.

18/07/2025: A Hidden Gem for Vegans in West Cork We stopped into Blair’s Cove yesterday without a booking, and were so grateful they managed to fit us in. From the very start, the whole experience felt special. The staff were incredibly professional but also warm and relaxed. Everything flowed so smoothly—it was like watching a beautifully choreographed dance. As a vegan, eating out while on holiday in places like West Cork can be stressful. It often feels like vegans are overlooked completely, or given something bland as an afterthought. But Blair’s Cove was the total opposite. They really took care, and I felt genuinely included. The vegan food was not just “good for a vegan option”—it was full-on delicious, thoughtful, and deeply satisfying. Hands down the best meal I’ve had in the area. The live piano music was another lovely touch—just the right level and beautifully played. It gave the whole evening an elegant, laid-back vibe that made us want to stay all night. As a vegan chef, I make a point of trying other local spots even when the vegan choices are limited—but this was on another level. Blair’s Cove showed that it’s absolutely possible to cater for everyone with style and flavour. If you’re plant-based (or dining with someone who is), don’t hesitate. This place gets it right. 26/04/2025: Ballycommon Bakehouse is an absolute gem! From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed by a warm, friendly atmosphere and a beautiful setting. The café itself is cosy and inviting, and the outdoor area is simply perfect for sunny days, peaceful, spacious, and the ideal spot to sit back and relax. One of the things I love most is how dog-friendly it is. After a lovely walk along the nearby canal, it’s wonderful to be able to stop in with your four-legged friend and enjoy a coffee or a delicious meal without any hassle. The food is consistently fantastic, fresh, flavourful, and clearly made with care. Whether you’re popping in for a quick treat or settling in for a relaxed lunch, Ballycommon Bakehouse never disappoints. The staff are genuinely lovely too — always welcoming, attentive, and helpful, which adds to the whole experience. I would absolutely recommend Ballycommon Bakehouse to anyone looking for a great café/restaurant with a relaxed, friendly vibe. It’s a little treasure and well worth a visit!

08/09/2025: Seam a small pub at first but had a number of room which lead out to an eclectic theatre with an old fishing boat build into the bar.

05/08/2025: Got two beautiful cakes and some cupcakes for a wedding celebration. Everything was ready on time and everything was absolutely delicious and stunningly presented.

12/06/2025: Got my son’s christening cake here and I have to say it tasted so delicious and everyone was asking where I got it. Highly recommended. We went for raspberry and white chocolate.

13/08/2025: Gorgeous selection of sweet and savoury bakes. The sandwich bread was sooo soft and the filling was delicious. We loved everything we tried. Can't wait to visit again sometime.

24/07/2025: My group spent €110 plus another €15 euro tip for driver - Will never order here again - Dips were missing for sides and €10 euro extra worth of dips order. We called and the lovely man on the phone explain the driver would be back - he came back and gave us a a piss off face then gave us 4 dips when we ordered 12 - We were given all Garlic Mayo when we ordered a mix of all. Not worth the money in our opinion. Called back and were never answered. We will order from another late night pizza instead next time. Our dough balls just came with dough no pepperoni and no spinach.

22/06/2025: Who needs WWE when you have this four star? I thought the employees were about to start beating the heads off each other after a heated exchange. I waited 25 minutes for a meagre cookie, a time in which I could have driven home and baked it myself. Not a hint of an apology was to be heard over this diabolical waiting time. I also did not appreciate the fact that said cookie was RAW. The only thing I could recommend this four star for is if you wish to witness a scrap.
