The best restaurants

22/08/2026: Cafe inside a small shopping centre. Beef taco was very good. Service also good. Took home some pastries for later and they were tasty.

26/08/2026: Very bad coffee.As a experience barista and the manager of two coffee shop I know my coffee and I can say that this was the worst coffee I ever had.I asked for a cortado and a flat white and both coffee was the same in size and same amount of milk in both.The milk was way to hot (burn) Also took a lemon cheese cake and it was average.so much gelatine. The decor super and staff was good but the barista didn't know what she was doing.For such a beautiful looking place I think they should really look into getting a good barista and better quality of coffee beans.Such a pity but I won't be back.

29/08/2026: We had dinner at the George V Dining Room during our stay at Ashford Castle and really loved it. It is a beautiful restaurant and absolutely matches the level and atmosphere of the castle. The atmosphere is very calm, elegant and quite intimate, which I personally really liked. We had the five-course menu and honestly enjoyed everything. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and the service was really top level — exactly what you expect from a place like Ashford Castle. Maybe one small observation, and of course this has nothing to do with the restaurant itself. For such a beautiful and elegant dining room, I expected the dress code to be a little more elegant as well. Some guests were dressed very casually, which for me doesn’t quite match the atmosphere of a place like this. But maybe this is just my personal feeling. Nothing really to complain about here 😄 Just a very, very good dinner in a beautiful setting. Definitely recommend it if you are staying at Ashford Castle!

10/05/2026: We stayed two nights in the Brooks hotel while in Dublin. I thought the hotel was very nice and in a good location for walking to the main attractions we planned on visiting. I give them a 4 only because we arrived at the hotel after a long international flight at 11:30 am local time. We asked if they had a room available since we desperately needed a shower and short nap to recover. They said yes, but it would be $30 euro. As we were exhausted we said ok, however, it is not like they were going to give the room to someone else for 3.5 hours. This seemed like a chintzy way to treat your guests when you had the room clean already. Not a good look for such a nice hotel. It is the little things that you remember when choosing a hotel.

09/03/2026: Amazing stay! The staff were absolutely incredible—so friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The room was extremely tidy and well looked after, and the beds were really comfortable which made it easy to relax after a long day. The location is also great, with easy access to the city centre, which made getting around really convenient. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

01/09/2026: Best coffee in Dungarvan, reliable great flat white and lovely service. They also have a takeaway spot that’s easy to drive into in Abbeyside, great for a coffee on the go.

06/08/2026: Good spot for coffee and italian pastries and treats. Service can be hit and miss. Don’t order a vermouth here… the server had no idea what it was and when they did they charged €10 for a basic martini rossi (it’s €8 in the Shelbourne for the far better carpano antica).

13/06/2026: A beautiful hotel, with amazing rooms, and in a great location. There are restaurants and stores, as well as the dart rail within walking distance; and the rooms are spacious and immaculate inside. Customer service was amazing, and the included breakfast buffet was surprisingly good!

15/09/2026: The food here is delicious. My mam got roast beef and said it was the best she ever tasted. So definitely highly recommended. Service is friendly and lots not too pricy. We didn't book. It is accessible for people with mobility issues.

28/06/2026: Ate in this establishment on Friday 26th June. Had fish and chips and it was inedible and service was basic. A member of my party had lamb burger presented soaked in gravy and flavourless

06/09/2026: I had a perfect stay at An Bothar! I arrived there after a long, wet and cold day of walking and asked, if they had a washing machine I could use. They then offered to wash my clothes for me and return them dry and clean in the morning!! I then went to my very big, very clean and comfortable room and realised, I had a bathtub in my ensuite bathroom! I was honestly in heaven and definitely recommend staying here :)

27/06/2026: We had lunch, dinner, and breakfast here, and every meal was absolutely delicious. The food was amazing every time. What made our visit even more special was the wonderful staff. Everyone, including the owner, was incredibly kind and welcoming, and they made us feel so comfortable. We visited while walking the Dingle Way, and they also let us pitch our tent in the yard for a small fee. It’s a lovely little spot with space for only about four tents, which made it feel quiet and relaxed. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality – we hope to come back one day!
