27/06/2026: This place is just perfect! We stopped here on a trip from malin head to inishowen and we were not dissappinted. The reviews were exactly what everybody been saying. Family friendly cafe food was incredible. Great value and great choice would highly reccomend coming back again! 1

18/08/2026: Such a pleasant surprise! Being a fan of Japanese food, including having spent time in Japan, I can confidently say that the food served here in Midori is very good, well prepared with attention to detail and quality ingredients. Certainly deserves a higher rating. Now that I have eaten there for the first time, will definitely return.

01/08/2026: Lovely little pub in the middle of Kilkenny, we waited quite a long time to put or order and getting the food, but once the food arrived it was great!

28/08/2026: This is our favourite restaurant in Cork. The food is always amazing. There is something for everyone on the menu too. I cannot recommend the lamb rack mojo enough especially with the pineapple spicy rice. I wouldn't be a fan of fish but even the crispy prawns starter is lovely. The staff are friendly and always attentive. Very family friendly and a good show when you can get a seat at the bar area.

12/06/2026: We have just returned home to England after staying in this beautiful hotel for five nights. We will definitely be returning! The hotel is so clean & the staff are all amazing, very polite & very helpful. They all looked very smart in their uniform as well. The cooked breakfast is the best we've ever had at a hotel. The food is excellent quality. The rooms are lovely & very clean & we had fresh towels every day. We cannot wait to return to this beautiful hotel next time we go to Castleisland to visit our family who live here. We highly recommend staying at The River Island hotel.

03/05/2026: The hotel's location and rooms are okay. It's an old building with a corresponding ambiance. Breakfast was reminiscent of a school trip, and the service at dinner was disastrous. A wait of almost two hours is far too long under any circumstances. A real shame.

10/07/2026: Had the most gorgeous curry here today usually have Brie... i hear the popcorn chicken with wedges and salad is lovely too.

09/07/2026: Perfect homemade breakfasts on a chalkboard menu, from full Irish breakfast to simple scrambled egg on toast. Great prices. Wonderful pastries and coffee. Free range eggs. Fresh berries.

02/09/2026: Coffee was just ok. The cappuccino definitely had more milk than I should have. The food however, was delicious! I got the ham and cheese croissant and added an egg. It came with two types of salads, which was a nice surprise.

15/09/2026: Wish we had known before this place existed! Sept 2026 • Couples Myself and Jim went to Mollys our usual haunt over the last 3 years. We ordered our usual pint and glass of wine with a wee packet of crisps or nuts. We got the oneand only wine they had. Choice was not available! Crisps nuts or any little snack was also off the menu!! We made up our minds immediately that this place was no longer welcoming. We would usually include the upstairs restaurant as part of our evenings itinerary. So we did not feel that would be appropriate considering the attitude we experienced. We then had to research a new restaurant/ bar. We decided on the Old Coach Inn /Watters. We’ll talk about chalk and cheese! We were blown away!! We came into a more than welcoming atmosphere with a very professional staff and to top it all .....a lovely log fire crackling in the hearth Such a lovely friendly atmosphere with a staff in wonderful starched white uniforms. We were immediately made comfortable and ordered our usual wine and a pint. I had a choice between a wide range of options! We are going back tomorrow evening for a meal. I will keep you posted on how we get on. Again thank you very much to the people who made and our lovely evening such polite and kind staff. Denise and Jim Waddell. Irvinestown Co Fermanagh.

06/09/2026: We attended a family christening here and had such a wonderful evening. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour with very generous portions, and the hand cut homemade chips were a real treat, something you don’t see very often anymore! The service was excellent, the staff were so friendly and attentive, with bar service right to the table. What really stood out were all the lovely little touches. They gave the new parents a personalised gift for their baby, played music for the cake cutting and the children, and even had a mini MC and flags flying for the mum and dad’s counties for a bit of fun! They really went above and beyond to make the day special. A wonderful, memorable evening and definitely 5 stars from us. We’ll be back!

13/08/2026: The gem of Newcastle! What a wonderful place. So cozy and unique. Definitely worthwhile visiting for any occasion, whether you're in for a pint to relax after beach walk or enjoy lunch/dinner. The beer selection is amazing. The service is stunning and staff very nice and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone. P.s. definitely try the chowder, it's amazing!

09/08/2026: Just had dinner in the Castle Inn and wow 5 stars all the way. The food is incredibly good. We had the prawns pil pil & the goats cheese parcel to start and the fish & chips and tempura prawn for mains. Every single morsel on the plate was outstanding. New to the area and very happy to have been recommended this place. Service couldn’t have been any better. For Guinness drinkers it’s a short pull set up meaning fresh clean pints every time. Ten stars. ⭐️

27/08/2026: The food was absolutely delicious! The staff were so friendly, attentive, and really looked after us. The passion fruit margarita was amazing too — definitely a highlight! Would highly recommend 😊 our fav dishes were the fish tacos and marinated pork tacos and the deep fried ice cream is a must!

28/08/2026: I was in Galway with my wife “The Boss” and I looked at google maps to find a nice family run restaurant for lunch whin I discovered this lovely French bakery and it was only 6 minutes drive from where I was. The bakery is very homely with a lovely old style about it. My wife had a croissant with Swiss cheese and ham, I had a sourdough baguette filled with chicken and salad, we both had very decent mugs of tea. I have to say that the croissant was delicious and the baguette had a lovely crust. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We talked to the owner before we left and complemented her bakery and staff and of course she is French. I can highly recommend this bakery. And while you are there tryout the greengrocers next door.

25/09/2026: This place is terrible there was sick in the men’s bathroom and the staff are all so rude - it’s like they don’t want to work there

25/09/2026: Got awful food poisoning and saw 3 mice in the space of an hour
