21/11/2025: We had the pleasure of dining at 51 Cornmarket tonight, and the entire experience was world-class, especially the service. We were running significantly late due to unforeseen circumstances, but the owner, Anne, was absolutely fantastic and incredibly accommodating. ​Anne stayed in close contact with us while we were en route, kindly sent us the menu ahead of time, and even took our order so the kitchen could prepare our meal while we traveled. This level of communication and care is truly rare and saved our evening! ​Once we arrived, the setting and atmosphere were warm, intimate, and absolutely on point. The food was nothing short of fantastic—every dish was delicious. The wine selection was also superb. ​Thank you, Anne, and the entire team at 51 Cornmarket, for turning a stressful evening into a wonderful dining experience. Highly, highly recommend!

26/02/2026: The better option for a night in Maynooth until recently. Their new priority seems to be random removal by lads who couldn’t differentiate a person from a whisp of air (whisps of air tend to confuse them). This was written on the night of a long-term patron who has never once had a problem with the bouncer, who was given trouble for no reason other than the new bouncer’s apparent need for validation. 27/12/2025: I have been here two times now, and I must say I am truly not impressed. I very rarely come on to give bad reviews, but I feel like this place is a complete cop out and NOT WORTH the hype. The first time I came the food was amazing but the service was extremely slow, it took 15 minutes to get a basket of bread and about 30 minutes to get the bill. This overall was fine, but I could tell something was not fully right for the price paid. Today we went for brunch, and it was a disaster from start to finish. We ordered three dishes, one was fine but the other two both had poached eggs that were completely hard inside, essential hard boiled eggs. Also both dishes were served ice cold. We asked if they could be returned, and asked the waiter is this how it’s meant to be served and he said absolutely not. The dishes went back, and ten minutes later they came back out looking completely different somehow and with different ingredients, but the eggs came out THE EXACT SAME. Even the waiter looked at the eggs and was embarrassed but I said I don’t want to send it back as I was just done with the whole thing at that stage. We ordered pancakes which we asked to follow our main dishes, which came 20 minutes after we finished these dishes. The bill then came and there was a Bloody Mary on it that we didn’t ask for, and they only gave us 40% on both the egg dishes which were clearly not cooked right. Personally, I believe that if a dish is sent back over something as simple as poached eggs being overcooked, it should be absolutely ESSENTIAL that the eggs are cooked close to perfect the second time. In my opinion, there is a clear lack of care and consideration in the kitchen. I will not be coming back, as I really feel like the price this restaurant charges does not reflect the service or passion shown from the kitchen. Note (the first photo was the first dish, and second is the second dish which l has different ingredients but still hard eggs)

11/03/2026: Called in for breakfast and ordered full Irish which came with a big pot of tea. Top quality produce used, locally sourced. All around top notch. Offered top up of tea as well. All for € 12.90. Can't be bate. Will be back. Thanks to all the team front of house and the kitchen a very well run establishment. 👍

27/02/2026: This place is really great. The staff greet everyone and are very friendly. The Beamish and Murphy’s flow well here and is really good. On Thursday night they usually have live music and this is a real treat. It always brings great energy. The place hums with music and talk all night. If on a night out or after a meal this place is a must to help wrap up a nice evening.

06/07/2025: Staff were nice and friendly but I found inside the venue too hot. The hallway had air con but not the main room. The bathroom wasn't clean or up to standard. The bin was a bag on the ground. I slipped on wet tissue at the sink area. My ticket said seating though the limited seats were taking when we arrived so we had to stand for over 2 hours. We actually left before it was over for that reason
