27/10/2025: The food was really good but weird experience, I got made to feel bad when I said I have an intolerance to eggs and asked to have avocado with my salmon instead. I get that it messed with the usual price but most places are understandable when it comes to intolerances.

In particular the two managers were excellent, you would of thought they owned the place with the thought and effort they were putting into to running it

08/10/2025: Lovely spot, great food. Only thing tonight was the poor girls serving, they did a great job but there was only two of them serving for the bar and the food... I don't know why, but they definitely should have had more help.

12/10/2025: Nice, relaxing change of pace from Irish Pub food. First time trying Irish Maid cocktail which was refreshing. Very good cauliflower stater and my wife and I shared the roasted chicken and pepperoni pizzas! We were hungry after a full day walking around Dublin. 5 min walk from last stop on 37 bus which you can catch across river from Temple Bar area. Wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable and efficient. Finished with vanilla brownie ice cream sundae!

05/10/2025: Disappointed by our visit to Angelina’s. Starters were yummy but mains were average. Service was good until the waitress lashed the bill onto our table while we were eating dessert (we hadn’t asked for it). Clearly they wanted us out after only being on the table slightly over an hour!

04/07/2025: After seeing some chatter about the smallest restaurant in Dublin, I wanted to taste it for myself. The menu is concise and ingredient driven with about 10 items. Wines were by the glass and we started with a Txakoli and then a lighter Nebbioli. We had 8 of the dishes offeres today and had the Chef Ken and his wife Gwen bring them out as they saw fit. The clean flavors and quality ingredients was apparent from the start. Come with a great attitude and an open mind if you can reserve 1 of the 8 seats availble. It is an experience worthy of anyone who loves food. Cheers.

26/06/2025: Popped into JB Mahoney recently and honestly, what a find. It’s got that rare mix of proper character and a genuinely warm atmosphere that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. The Guinness? Spot on, creamy, smooth, poured with care. You can tell they take pride in it, which is more than you can say for a lot of places. And if you haven’t tried the Algerian, you’re missing out – bold, rich, and absolutely delicious. A proper pint to remember. The bar staff are brilliant, friendly, funny, and somehow manage to keep everything running smoothly even when it's packed. Even, the teachers chap I was speaking to inside. JB Mahoney’s strikes that perfect balance: welcoming, down-to-earth, but with real quality behind the bar. Whether you're in for a quiet one or a few rounds with mates, this place just gets it right.

Ken the owners was very friendly and chatty and we was hoping to get back in for another drink but we only had a 2 day visit and a wedding so sadly we didn’t manage to. We will be back in Wexford and definitely will be in again. Thanks Andrea and Carlo

16/10/2025: We went twice in one day. Once for lunch which was nice food and a beer. And at the end of the evening where there was a live band and a lot of drinking.

07/10/2025: A very nice pub. Plenty of space, friendly staff, and a generally homey atmosphere. There's always sports and music on. The food is good and fast. You can have a good time there.

I was repeatedly pushed by a drunk woman, and when I asked her to stop invading my personal space, the door supervisor, Darry, sided with her because he knew her. Instead of addressing the issue, he told me to leave. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior from security. I will never step foot in this place again.
