The best restaurants

23/02/2026: Wilton was one of the first shopping centres built in Cork and it is showing its age. A single floor anchored by Tesco at one end and Pennies at the other with a range of businesses between. Its still a one stop shop for most of the time. There is ample parking, Cork University hospital is across the road and both Aldi and Lidl are close by. Access is very good.

16/02/2026: Good center in a good location, right next to the bus station, has good food places, a Dealz and a Tesco, some clothes shops, very handy

08/02/2026: Fab Sunday lunch in The Coach House Pub in Ballinteer (5 min. drive from Dundrum shopping centre). They have a new menu with lots of gluten free options, including a carvery on a Sunday. No gluten free chips but the mash and roast potatoes were hot and delicious, as was the roast beef and veg. I had Eaton mess (meringue, cream, ice-cream and berries) for dessert. Very tasty. I wanted to give them a shout-out because it was such a positive experience. Everyone in my family was happy with their food as well. P.S. No photo because I ate it too quickly 😉

20/03/2026: Just had so called beef lasagna from here and it contained little to no meat. This is not the first time this has happend but it will be the last.

24/12/2025: The cleaning practices here seriously need improvement. I watched staff use the same cloth to wipe tables, chairs, and even the seating areas where people actually put the shoes on. That means whatever is on the floor is being wiped right onto the tables where people eat. This is basic hygiene and it shouldn’t be overlooked. I can bet my money the same cloth is used to wipe counters. 🤢

15/12/2025: Great coffee and pastry shop in Smithfield! The cardamom bun (Cardi B) is probably one of the best cardamom buns in Dublin! This pastry runs out on weekend by noon so make sure you’re there early to grab one. The cinnamon bun is also very delicious and would recommend it too. The coffee selection at proper order is quite extensive and I appreciate the variety of options that they have to offer. The staff is very helpful and patient, and there is ample space in the cafe. Love this place!

18/03/2026: A good 👍 pub. I got a free pint on Christmas 🎄 eve 2025. Can get very busy, but staff always do their best to serve people. I usually have 1 or 2 drinks here and get the bus 🚌 home to Raheen around the corner.

28/01/2026: Many better choices around Dublin, especially if you want to feel nice on your birthday. I reserved a week in advance for 12 people and called the day of to preorder 2 bottles of prosecco. Friends arrived at the time of my reservation (730) and were served prosecco by the staff (which is great, i asked them to get the waiter to serve the Prosecco as i was running late), I arrived at 745. No drink was served by the restaurant after me and the rest of my friends arrived. I served the table, and opened the second bottle of preordered Prosecco myself, after asking twice and waiting 20 minutes for the server to do it, but he seemed super busy. Not really the service you'd expect when buying a >€500 dinner, and paying €60 euros for service (12.5% required with reservations >6)

20/02/2026: The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. I had wings for an appetizer and a burger for a main course, and I can say that the food is very good. The service is also very friendly. I recommend it.

19/10/2025: Great spot, had the lamb shank was delicious, desert was so nice aswell, with a party of 6, not one of us had a bad meal! Will defo be back! Tiny wee bit cramped-space wise but the food makes up for that! Great variety on the menu

09/09/2025: Genuine old Irish pub with a lot of local characters. The Guinness was the best I’ve ever had, another level. Soon as you walked in the smell of years gone by. Friendly & intriguing. Sit in the snug.
