15/08/2025: Meal was excellent on the way to Kylemoore Abbey. Left my sunglasses at the restaurant, so the owner put them aside and sent them right away the following day. Great place!

20/08/2025: Fantastic restaurant in every way - food, service, and decor, to name a few. It's not cheap but fair for the quality. Family all enjoyed it. Have a kids menu and early bird menu, which is applicable throughout the week irrespective of the time. Best to book a table online.

24/08/2025: We came across this last night in Doolin on 23/08/25 We ordered 5 pizzas, which weren't great at all.. They used cheap bases, and all 5 people thought they weren't great. That was a mixture of children and adults. I had ordered the Riverside chicken.. Which was the last to come out by about 10 minutes +++ The dinner was presented well, but when I cut into it.. the chicken was raw.. I called the waitress over, and she said I'll bring it to the kitchen, and they'll sort it out. I said no thanks 😒 I don't want it now. I spoke to the manager.. Who said they were trying to get all the food out together, and they were doing their best. But I said the chicken was completely raw in the middle, and I could I have gotten very sick . Not once did the manager or waitress apologise. They said I was very aggressive.. which is not through . I never complain 😌 but I obviously had to on this occasion. I would not recommend this restaurant ever..in fact ..I'm surprised it's still opened .please don't eat here.

24/08/2025: Recommended by the owner of our B&B for its delicious, well-sourced oysters. We ate well, and the staff was super friendly. The oysters and mussels were delicious.

05/08/2025: Warm, welcoming atmosphere and excellent service made for a lovely evening. The food was good overall, though the gnocchi wasn’t my favourite. Still, a charming spot for a relaxed Italian meal in Dublin. The gelato was also a great option on the menu.

22/08/2025: I had dinner at Monks Lane on a Friday and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was great, though a little on the loud side, which made it a bit hard to hear at times. I started with the bread and hummus, the bread was fresh and delicious, and the hummus was full of flavor with a nice garlicky kick. For my main, I had the hake with a parmesan crust, and it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The fish was cooked perfectly flaky, tender, and packed with flavor. I added a side of chips, which were a great portion size and really good quality. For dessert, I went with the lemon posset and compote. The posset itself was light and lovely, but the compote was a bit too bitter and overpowered it. Aside from that, everything was excellent. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Overall, I’d highly recommend Monks Lane.

25/07/2025: Fabulous breakfast and coffee. Best breakfast sausage I have had, and the homemade brown bread was lovely. Mushrooms superb, egg perfect. I highly recommend this spot for a filling and delicious breakfast

19/08/2025: Probably the best dining experience in the area. The service was excellent — friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout. Prices were fair, and the food overall was very good. We started with prawns and chicken wings, both of which were excellent. For mains, the steak burger was tasty and satisfying, while the goat’s cheese salad was unusual — the cheese came coated in a bread/potato-style batter, which may not be to everyone’s taste. That said, the quality of service and overall experience more than made up for it. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food, good value, and genuinely friendly staff.

19/08/2025: We were lucky to get a table at Nancy's Barn yesterday (18/8/25) and what a delightful experience it was. It was very busy but the staff were very efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and we all had a lovely meal. We would highly recommend a visit.

17/07/2025: Good wine café with helpful suggestions from the owner and tasty wine. I sat outside and had a wonderful time waiting for my train ride. The wine (Vinho Verde) I had was very tasty. Lovely location, but a bit small so do reserve in advance. Was so at peace i forgot to make a photo!

11/07/2025: Hermoso lugar, en un tranquilo callejón al lado de una iglesia. Tuvimos la suerte de conseguir una mesa al aire libre. Gran selección de vinos y quesos, yo probé un Roquefort celestial y mi esposa pidió algo con nueces bañadas en miel. Si aprecias el buen vino y el queso, y no te importa gastar un poco más por los buenos, no puedo recomendarte ningún lugar mejor en Galway.
