The best restaurants

15/09/2026: The tastiest meal I've had in a long time! I think I could eat everything on the menu! The sweet potato was a side dish, but it almost beat the rest, it was that good!

28/08/2026: Excellent food, sevice and setting. The starter bisque was the nicest soup I've ever had and the sole for mains was perfect. Cant wait to go back.

08/09/2026: I popped in here on Aug 28th to treat my two boys after their first day back at school. There is a large menu by the counter, but they don't want you to stand there and actually look at it- let's just say the chef could not find a mannerly way of asking us to clear the aisle. The 'waitress' offered a small table for.. two. Due to the lovely weather I said we'd try the outside table- well she could not hide her disappointment at having to provide service outside- why have an outside table then? After we'd picked our pizzas I went back inside to drop back the menus. As the waitress was passing by I politely called her attention and said we were all set to order. Keep in mind that the place was mostly empty. She completely ignored me..I mean..Completely. She then walked over to take an order from a couple with a cute baby that had arrived in well after we had. So, no queue system then I guess? A little embarrassed in front of my boys, before things got any worse, I decided to take them home- you learn to read the warning signs over the years. So, in my opinion they don't like to see people with children coming in. If you have family with you I would avoid. Now, maybe there were a series of misunderstandings, as the waitress had gone to the toilet, and maybe she had just forgotten about us. I mean, good people would never view customers as the same as the dirt on their shoes, ..would they? (Can't rate food).

08/09/2026: We love eating here. The food is fantastic - fresh, full of flavour and great portion sizes. The service is excellent and the staff are so friendly. Grzegorz and Co. really make an effort to ensure customers are looked after and have a great dining experience.

20/08/2026: Lovely restaurant with very friendly staff and excellent service. I liked the design choices of the restaurant. The food was tasty but I recommend getting a couple starters and a dessert since the main meals and quite small. There are lots of gluten free options but nothing is guaranteed gluten free as everything is cooked in the same kitchen.

17/08/2026: Very good option for lunch. Light menu but tasty dishes. We ordered chicken, muhammara and hummus that we liked a lot with their thin bread. Also their in house draft beer was tasty. Ali helped us a lot on our selections and we had very good chat with him about city and other places that we can visit.

12/09/2026: My cousins and I (8 in total) had a wonderful evening in The Greedy Goose (11 Sept 2026). The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The menu selection was amazing and had plenty to offer for the vegetarians and vegans among us. The service was excellent and the staff were so friendly and efficient with all the courses arriving promptly and with enough time between each course so we didn’t feel rushed. We all agreed it was impossible to pick a favourite dish because everything tasted so good. The overall atmosphere in the restaurant was vibrant and despite it being very busy it did not impact service in any negative way. Would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. It is great value for money, has a fantastic menu and wonderful friendly staff! Can’t wait to go back!

10/08/2026: What an amazing find! This was the perfect spot for a couple of hours of relaxation. I described my preference in flavor profile and wine and was presented with the perfect glass (so good we ended up drinking the whole bottle).

05/09/2026: I’m a Japanese student currently studying abroad in Ireland, and I came across this restaurant while looking for somewhere to eat. I’m really glad I decided to come in. This place is wonderful. First of all, the Italian owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. The service was excellent, and I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. In fact, I felt very comfortable throughout my visit. As for the food, I ordered the carbonara, and it was absolutely delicious. Honestly, without exaggerating or trying to be polite, it was the best spaghetti I have ever had in my life. The portion was also very generous, so I think students with a big appetite would be more than satisfied. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Italian food in Dublin. I’m very happy that I found this place!

09/09/2026: We had a wonderful memorable meal at No 35 on Monday 7th Sept. We both ordered the Special - Black Sole. Fresh, fleshy fish cooked to perfection. Normally not inclined to order dessert, we shared a chocolate mousse creation - wonderful. We were attended to by the personable and knowledgeable Neill who, despite the busy evening, was very attentive. We had a lovely evening.

27/08/2026: Had a wonderful meal in Daniel’s restaurant, he meets and greets you and goes through the menu and suggests what to have to accompany your meal, I ordered the half lobster it was beautiful and my companion had the rack of lamb which fell off the bone. All his sauces are made from scratch and you can see he puts so much passion pride into his restaurant. The dessert menu was even better and we couldn’t decide what to have but decided on the deep fried ice cream with butter scotch sauce and it was absolutely delicious. This restaurant doesn’t need the fancy lights, decor or fancy foams the food says it all.

13/08/2026: A really special but really cozy spot, tucked half below street level so you watch the legs of passersby drift past the windows while you eat. Classic Italian cooking done really well, the food was great, and the service and atmosphere matched it

11/08/2026: If you find yourself anywhere near Stoneyford (Co. Kilkenny), go to Malzards. If you are not particularly near Stoneyford, this remains my recommendation. We went to hurl. It rained. Ireland. (: So instead there were pints and rooms that kept leading to other rooms and people at the bar and fresh chips and Billy and Jim playing music, and somewhere along the way we stopped being people watching the evening happen and became people participating in it. We sang. We danced. Billy and Jim handed me a drum. I played the drum. Eventually, being a polite person who understands that one cannot simply move to Stoneyford and become the permanent third member of Billy and Jim, I tried to give the drum back. They declined. So. I was in the band now. There was a Guinness pouring contest. Several people competed. A particularly attractive young woman roughly the bartender’s age won. Was hers the superior pour? Perhaps. Was the judging conducted according to internationally recognized standards of Guinness-pouring impartiality? I have questions. No objections, mind you. Just questions. This is Malzards. It’s a wonderful, rambling pub with big rooms, small rooms, cozy corners, and seemingly a space for whatever kind of gathering might break out. But mostly, it’s full of really lovely people. The owners are genuinely welcoming. The patrons are warm. Nobody makes a production out of making you feel welcome. You just are. And before you know it, you’re talking to everyone, singing with the band, and apparently employed as a percussionist. Go. Have a pint. Talk to the people at the bar. Stay for Billy and Jim if they’re playing. Enter the Guinness pouring contest if you’re feeling confident, particularly confident if you happen to meet certain entirely unrelated demographic criteria. (: If someone hands you a drum, understand that you may have entered into a binding agreement. Thank you to everyone at Malzards for the hospitality, the music, the craic, and a ridiculously fun night in Stoneyford.

17/09/2026: In town overnight, called into McLeary’s looking for a table for 2 without a reservation, no availability but was kindly told they’d have one in 20 mins. A brief walk by the river and we were back and table ready as promised. Staff were excellent, menu was extensive, food was excellent and atmosphere was cosy and jolly. Price was easily justified by the quality and service - I’d highly recommend and will be back if I’m in town again! 10 / 10

13/09/2026: There were 3 of us in McLeary’s for dinner and we all really enjoyed it. The food was excellent, especially the steak, which was cooked perfectly. We also had a few cocktails and they were really good. The staff were friendly and the service was great without feeling rushed. Nice atmosphere as well, very relaxed and easy going. Would definitely go back again next time we’re in Waterford.

14/08/2026: We’re on holidays nearby & when I asked locals where we should eat we were collectively told The Narrow Quarter. So we’d dinner here the other night & it was fantastic!!! Our daughter said it was “yummy delicious” which speaks volumes. I also wanted to say how inclusive the child’s menu was, as it had visuals of the food which allowed her to order for herself which thrilled her & us to bits! On the back of the “yummy delicious” we called back in today for breakfast & it was superb. My only complaint is we’ve to go home today 🙂 But next time we’re passing you can guarantee we’ll be back in. When you’re on holiday & don’t know the area It’s such a time saver knowing where the food is consistently good! 10/10

10/09/2026: How is this place 4.7 and not 5 Stars is shocking. Our waiter literally made the entire dinner phenomenal! His recommendations were spot on. I am celiac and the salmon and mussels were TO DIE FOR. Angry it ran out. I hope the owner sees this bc our waiter (Greek guy panjanoes? lol no idea how to spell it) but he is a GEM and deserves a raise! He treats his customers like family. The food was DELICIOUS! Like more than perfect. 5 FREAKING STARS ALL THE WAY!!!! Run here!!!

09/09/2026: The service was incredibly cool and friendly, the food was fresh, and the pasta was homemade 😊 We even came back a second time because it was so delicious, and the service was top-notch and very friendly – ​​simply a must-visit if you're in Ireland. It's best to make a reservation; we were lucky both times and went in without one for a group of four. But since it's not that big, I recommend making a reservation. 😊 It was simply wonderful.
