The best restaurants

25/05/2026: Was here a few weeks ago for my sister's hen party and the staff were beyond accommodating, there was a large group of us and we were delayed in making our reservation however that was no issue to the lovely staff who had our table ready when we arrived. Food was wonderful as always, and the staff were lovely, would recommend for any small or large groups in the area, we hope to be back soon!

08/05/2026: We had a very nice dinner here. The waitstaff were super friendly and helpful. We got the salmon and the chicken supreme. Both were fantastic. We also got ice cream and the apple crumble for dessert. Again, both were fantastic. Also as a side note, they have great taste in music here. Do yourself a favor and go eat here.

19/07/2026: We had the most perfect meal at The Greedy Goose. The service was impeccable, we were so well looked after by the 2 fabulous ladies on service that day. The food? Incredible. We travelled from Castleknock for the meal and it was worth it. The photos below don't do it justice, no matter what your taste you'll be very satisfied with the incredible range of flavours. We'll be back. Highly recommended. Thank you Greedy Goose!

12/07/2026: Domino’s is Domino’s — no matter which branch you visit, the food is always fresh and the environment is usually neat and clean. Unfortunately, some of the staff members were extremely rude. Their attitude was absolutely disgusting and very disappointing.

08/07/2026: Visited on October 2025. Food was edible but quite bland. Service was passable but also kind of rude. The chef missed a component (a puree) on one of the plates and when we pointed it out, the staff just shrugged and took back the plate to add the missing component. Flavors were bland. Neither the technique not the plating were impressive. Honestly amazed they have two stars. I'd say the food was more bib gourmand quality at best. Certainly not worth the money.

23/06/2026: Simply amazing. Even though it is one of Irelands top restaurants, the vibe is so relaxed and friendly. The food and wine were to the level you would expect but the staff definitely complete the offering. We'll worth a visit.

21/07/2026: We 1st had dinner here, it was excellent. Then we had a pre-booked concert (The High Stool Prophets) & they were absolutely fantastic. The whole venue was rocking. They also are back here on 9th Oct …… book your tickets very early, if available. The staff in Dolan's are 5*

22/07/2026: Had a beautiful breakfast. Got the small breakfast, still very filling and tasted like home. The scone to finish was also very yummy. Recommend to all.

19/07/2026: Really lovely meal here. The staff were fantastic so good with kids and didnt have to ask for kids meals before adults etc they just knew instinctively. The food was delicious and highly recommend the lamb boxty.

17/07/2026: Charming restaurant and delightful meal. My husband and I tried two different boxtys, the lamb and the chicken, and we enjoyed them both. We also had the soup of the day, which I think was a parsnip soup. The flavor was somehow delicate and robust at the same time, well seasoned, and quite delicious. While all of the food was quite good, I especially enjoyed the bread basket! The brown bread with walnuts was so yummy with some butter, I couldn't stop eating it. I'd recommend visiting this restaurant while in Killarney.

05/06/2026: I love this place! The steaks here are some of the best I’ve ever had — juicy, flavorful, and generously sized. For just €29, you get a huge plate with a steak, fried onions, and potatoes. The portion is truly impressive and definitely worth the price. They also have a great selection of cocktails to choose from. The dining area is spacious and has a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves a good steak.

04/06/2026: The portions were generous and the food tasted good. They don’t have a huge variety of options, but this is our second time coming here and both visits have been consistently good. The gravy was especially generous, with plenty of it served on the meal.

24/07/2026: I went here yesterday with my partner for the Tomahawk Steak Experience, and I genuinely can't recommend it enough! The food was incredible, everything was cooked perfectly, and it was a fantastic portion for two people. We ordered the bone marrow mash and house fries, and also received a complimentary salad. For sauces, we went with chimichurri, garlic butter, and charcoal butter on the recommendation of our server and she was 100% right!! For dessert we went for the salted caramel mousse and the chocotorta, and both were absolutely delicious. They were the perfect sweet finish after such a savoury feast. The restaurant itself was so cosy and welcoming. Every member of staff we spoke to was friendly, attentive, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to make recommendations, which really enhanced the experience since it was our first visit. We paid around €80 for the steak experience, plus a bit extra for drinks and desserts, which felt incredibly reasonable considering both the quality and the generous portions. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. I wouldn't hesitate to come back, and I'll definitely be recommending it to friends and family. Thank you! 🥰

21/07/2026: Great food, service and atmosphere - would recommend.

05/07/2026: I'm afraid I can't give this a 👍. Very much overpriced for the quality and quantity that you get. The sea bass was absolutely tiny, not well presented on a plate that was far too big for the starter portion size of what I got. You have to add your potatoes/chips on top so Very poor for €27 + €5. The €10 portion of Tiramsui was 2 inch x 2 inch square. Fish and chips, €23, just thrown on the plate, no finesse, with a measly looking garnish of salad. There are much much better options out there than this place.

08/07/2026: We had one of the nicest meals EVER in McLeary's this evening... the flavour was simply Devine.. Our seafood dish literally set our taste buds alight with the amazing food we were served this evening.. We were visiting from Galway but most definitely will be back!! Staff were attentive and warm. Thank you to the manager who "Loves his County"
