03/08/2025: Have been lucky enough to eat a lot of amazing meals around the world and Chapter One is one of the best I’ve had. Definitely operating at a 3 Michelin Star lev right now.

03/08/2025: This restaurant from start to finish lives up to its best restaurant in Dublin and beyond reputation. I have dined in Chapter One a couple of times and the creativity, taste and standard of the food is second to none. I also cannot emphasise the top service received in the whole process and am blown away with how lovely our dinner service and food quality/design/presentation and extensive drinks selection was (the non alcoholic wine is the nicest I’ve ever tried and I don’t think I’ve ever had a nice non alcoholic wine prior to this. Mocktail selection gorgeous along with classic beautiful wines and cocktails that the rest of the group absolutely loved. The tasting menu was so good a big variety of top quality colourful and varied dishes with something for everyone). The ambience of the place itself is beautiful. The team here go above and beyond and I also had a recent experience with a reservation made, and in my error made it the day after it was supposed to be scheduled and needed to move it. I don’t know how they managed to save the day but can’t thank the lovely manager of Chapter One Juba and Flavia in accommodating this request and trying very hard to - it meant so much. If the team in Chapter One can assist they will and it makes all the difference. Amazing place and people all round and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for a memorable experience with the highest standard of service, and food and drinks.

31/07/2025: Unlike other reviewers, we had an awful experience at La Côte. After we were seated we waited for 10 minutes before the table next to us (who was seated after us) was given their dinner and drinks menus, at which point I had to request menus for us. Then they only gave us dinner menus and I had to ask, twice, for a drinks menu. Then I noticed that all the other tables had a carafe of tap water, which was not offered to us. Terrible service. The menu was limited. We were looking forward to some great seafood options on the menu since this is a seafood restaurant, but they only had three mains choices, all white fish variations. I would have left a lower rating than three stars, except that when our food arrived it was ok.

10/07/2025: A really nice little restaurant on the front. The menu was good, the food was excellent, and the service friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

12/08/2025: Superb food at reasonable cost. Room is a little small so not great for an intimate dinner. But I liked the lively atmosphere. They have a short but reasonably priced wine menu but if you want you can BYOB for an €8 corkage fee. Strongly recommended.

01/08/2025: This place is top-notch quality. Booking is recommended. We went early without a reservation and ordered the seafood linguine and some tapas from the daily special. Spectacular.

29/07/2025: The food was divine, we had the seafood linguini and lamb ragu, both dishes were delicious and the perfect portion size. It’s not a stretch of the imagination to say there is no bad dish on the menu. The service is super, the host and waitstaff was friendly, fast and attentive (as well as a hilarious character). Our food was prepared and served nice and efficiently (fast but not too fast). Overall, it’s a phenomenal restaurant that you have to dine at if you’re in Kenmare. Would go again anytime we’re here

26/07/2025: This honestly has to be one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Ever! It has also got to be one of the best steak houses in the entire country, and that is an understatement, because the quality and depth of flavour of the food is truly outstanding. My own litmus test for this is whether I feel like I could make similar or better food at home, and not in a million years could I make anything as tasty as what we enjoyed last night. My girlfriend and I shared empanadas and two rib eye wagu steaks with some marrow mash and garlic butter, then an assortment of ice cream to finish. From start to finish, the experience was flawless — from the warm welcome at the door to the last spoonful of dessert. The service was attentive, professional and never overbearing. We found the setting very beautiful, despite being a quiet Friday night we both felt like we wanted to stay all night. Every element on the plate was considered and executed with precision — the steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, PER-FEC-TION!!! (No seriously, I never knew steak could be this tasty). The marrow mash was indulgent without being heavy, and the garlic butter added just the right amount of punch. The desert was simple, no fuss and the ice cream was beautifully light and fluffy. Our empanadas were also delicious, with wagyu and wrapped in a tasty pastry and a home made salsa, they were perfect. It’s rare these days to be genuinely surprised by how good a place is — but this wasn’t just good, it was memorable, and we will definitely be back! We’re already planning our return visit, and if you’re even remotely a fan of steak, you owe it to yourself to go.

17/07/2025: We requested a Vegan tasting menu ahead of time, and they did not disappoint. While some dishes were also available on the regular menu, others were created specifically for our night. The hostess, our waitress, and even the gentleman working the bar were all great conversationalists and helped enhance the experience. The attention to detail was 2nd to none, and we hope they continue exploring the possibilities of Vegan cuisine in the future.

16/07/2025: Se encontró con este restaurante en busca de comida en 2103. Restaurante dos puertas arriba aconsejado “cocina cerrada a las 2100! ” Y eso fue todo. Fui a este restaurante y qué joya. Mi esposa tenía sushi - fresco, delicioso y perfectamente presentado! Tenía tepinyaki de res y simplemente genial A nuestro hijo de seis años le apetecía un plato de cerdo y cocinaron media porción a petición - no hay problema. ¡Todo por menos de 60€ incl. dos cervezas! Definitivamente volviendo.
