06/06/2026: We were here with a tour group. First, we were given a brief introduction to hurling, and then we got to hit a few balls ourselves. Unfortunately, due to the weather, we couldn't play as much as had been advertised. That was a bit short; I would have liked more time. Afterwards, we could pour our own beer, and there was live music. The singer was funny and knew exactly how to get everyone involved. Half of our group ended up playing an instrument, and everyone sang along. The atmosphere was fantastic. It was really fun.
03/06/2026: Came with tour group. Awesome experience. This is a public my friends

Chez Max
Dublin
19/05/2026: The setting is beautiful, feels so warm.
I got the duck for main which was delicious but the absolute star of the show was the crème brûlée which was just outstanding, felt like I was transported to Paris.
Very friendly atmosphere too.
16/05/2026: I would gladly come back every day... it's so good!

Powers Thatch Bar & Restaurant
Oughterard
20/05/2026: This place has the best seafood chowder I've ever eaten (and I've eaten tons of chowder in my life). Mussels were fantastic, the service was amazing, and the price was very reasonable. The Google reviews have it right with this spot!
16/05/2026: A pub that's also a great restaurant!
I started with a chowder, a soup made with fish, seafood, vegetables, and herbs, thickened with cream. I thoroughly enjoyed all the flavors. The traditional, soft Guinness bread with salted butter was a lovely accompaniment to the appetizers and then the main courses.
To continue the delicious experience, I enjoyed a pot of mussels. Admittedly, they were much smaller than the Bouchot mussels I'm used to, which surprised me, but my taste buds were delighted by the flavors imparted by the sauce. It was delicious and very generous. A fruity, semi-dry cider on tap was also much appreciated.
And for all this, the value for money is unbeatable, and the staff are always smiling. I highly recommend it.

24/04/2026: A great waiter really put on a show for me made the pizza right under my nose really made me feel at home he had really nice hair and some stunning eyes. He was about 5’6 or around that with fairly big deltoids and a decent size forehead. He knew loads of Irish was telling me how he has a savage Irish teacher and has great passion for Irish he thought me the phrase “pog mo hon” really nice lad will definitely be coming back☘️🎉🥳
24/04/2026: Franco’s Fullhouse makes me want to set traps for wild boar. I want to hunt big game in a foreign country without a hunting license. I need it

13/05/2026: This was a lovely cozy restaurant with a very friendly staff! We greatly enjoyed all of the food we ordered. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!
12/05/2026: My favorite restaurant in Ireland. You can tell the owner is a true resteraunteir and the staff works very hard. You'll feel very welcomed here. I should also add that the put a lot of care into their vegan options. Great place to take my dad for a traditional boxty while I got a homemade gnocchi with a fresh pesto that was incredible. Don't skip desert!

Pearl Brasserie
Dublin
16/05/2026: Got a beautiful private booth with a picture of a cow on the wall, could use some context on why that image supplements an ambience this elegant 🤣🤣
I took my girlfriend for dinner on her birthday and the staff, the restaurant - made the evening so special.
We let the chef decide what we should be served and they did not disappoint. Every meal was coherent with the wine served - every dish had a spectrum of flavours that were all given the right amount of space to breathe, I figured this place has/had a Michelin star - and they did at one point! Very talented, I was so full but made sure none of the dishes went back empty.
I’m not that fond of alcohol or wine, it’s more a social deal for me - however, a well orchestrated experience had me locked in to the rich history behind every glass.
Thank-you to the staff and the chef for making her night so memorable, and for giving us an occasion to remember forever. Highly recommend for special occasions!
11/05/2026: Attentive service and average food.

Dela
Galway
06/05/2026: Tucked into a lively Galway street, this breakfast spot feels like the kind of place you “accidentally” discover once… and then mysteriously return to every morning after. The first thing that hits you is the aroma of coffee, rich, warm, and just persuasive enough to make you forget whatever plans you had before walking in.
The coffee here isn’t just good, it’s the kind that makes you pause mid-sip and reconsider your standards. Smooth, balanced, and brewed with obvious care, it sets the tone for everything else that follows.
Then comes the food. The menu reads like a love letter to local ingredients, with fresh, thoughtfully sourced produce shining in every dish. Whether it’s a perfectly cooked breakfast plate, flaky pastries, or something a bit more inventive, everything tastes like it was made that morning… because it probably was. There’s a brightness to the flavors that only comes from ingredients that haven’t traveled halfway across the world to meet your fork.
But what really elevates the place is the atmosphere, carried almost entirely by the staff. They welcome you like you’ve been coming in for years, even if it’s your first visit. Service is warm, quick without feeling rushed, and sprinkled with just the right amount of humor to make your morning lighter.
All together, it’s more than just a breakfast stop. It’s a small daily ritual waiting to happen, powered by excellent coffee, honest food, and genuinely kind people.
30/04/2026: We had breakfast at Dela and were not disappointed. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the coffee was good. The food was also delicious, and we would definitely come back.

Grogan's Castle Lounge
Dublin
02/05/2026: First pint of our Ireland trip. Best pub atmosphere of the trip!
01/05/2026: This pub is a real gem. It came highly recommended by a few Irish colleagues, so we stopped in for a couple of pints before dinner and were glad we did.
From the moment you walk in, it feels different from your typical pub. The staff greeted us right away, helped us find stools, and even seated us at a shared table with other patrons before taking our order. Friendly and welcoming from the start.
The place is full of character. There’s local artwork on the walls (some available to buy), a beautiful stained glass feature, and even carpet that somehow feels clean and well kept. No loud music either, which makes it easy to have a proper conversation.
The Guinness was excellent, easily one of the best I’ve had in over 15 years of visiting Dublin. They also serve great toasties, and it’s clear this is a spot locals genuinely enjoy.
Authentic, relaxed, and full of charm. I only wish I’d discovered it sooner. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Dublin.

Glovers Alley
Dublin
12/04/2026: We had an amazing meal at Glover’s Alley. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing and loved every course. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The wine pairings were all excellent and the Somm explained everything to us and was happy to answer our questions. We’ve done lots of tastings and this one was pretty affordable and not too pretentious. Perhaps the ambiance could’ve done with a little more attention, but overall a really excellent meal, exceptional service and a really lovely way to spend our first night in Dublin. Would highly recommend.
07/04/2026: It's been a while since I've been, but as I remember I definitely left more satisfied with the tasting menu than other Michelin star restaurants that I have visited.
While I was much more of a picky eater when I went (only course I didn't enjoy at the time was a scallop ceviche, however I've expanded my tastebuds since)
Price has definitely gone up since I've been there, but recommend going at least once.

No 25 Fitzwilliam Place
Dublin
07/06/2026: We had our wedding in No 25 in May 2026. From start to finish they were a pleasure to deal with. In the build up Darragh was extremely professional - on the ball with everything - but also chilled and easy to deal with. On the day the team, led by Stephen were all just exceptionally good at their jobs. The food was excellent, and by the end of the night the bar staff felt like they were our mates! Would definitely recommend 100%.
28/05/2026: What a team, what a venue. Not really a reviewer but we felt it essential to make public our appreciation to all the gang involved in making our big day so special. Food was 5 star, beautiful cuts off meat cooked to order - to perfection is no easy job, and all other menu items were communally accepted as top drawer- compliments to the chefs..The bar staff handled our thirsty guests with speed and smiles. All front of house and waiting staff were professional and friendly from the first minute. Darragh was an amazing communicator from the first phone call and honestly took so much stress away from our planning, remarkable how smooth and easy the whole process was. Stephen was a gentleman and utter professional on the big day, nothing was a problem and everything was an option - even though he carrying a fresh injury- he was on top of his game. Stephen and his team run a great show and the day ran like clockwork. The venue speaks for itself, as a one stop shop it really is the perfect setting for a small / boutique type event, stunning surroundings well able to handle a good session. So thanks again to all involved, it was an unforgettable day that you all played your part in. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Tess and Darren
