08/04/2024: A very nice and cozy italian restaurant in the neighbourhood of Portobello. I’ve been there with my husband to have a special dinner and the atmosphere helped us to have a more special night. The service was great, our waiter was very good presenting and explaining us the food and wines, great options by the way.
The star of the night was the Parma with burrata, which was a special dish of the day. It was amazing! Burrata very creamy and tasty. We ordered a Black spaghetti with prawn and lime sauce (also special of the day) and one Beef Cannelloni, for both we have no words, it was delicious! For dessert we have a Cannolo al pistacchio which we strongly recommend.
We’ll probably be back! Well done guys!

14/03/2024: Dillons is a good sized restaurant with a pub area and a main dining room. They required a reservation and table turnover was quick. We ordered the 10 oz steak and roasted chicken with mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to order and came with nicely seasoned onion rings and hot fries. The chicken was good and served with steamed broccoli and carrots. The food was good but the restaurant was very loud. Most tables had more than one kid and several were a bit out of control. The food was good but the overall experience was disappointing

04/04/2024: We were given this restaurant by a local vendor and made reservations at 8:30PM, actually about 2 hours later than we normally eat dinner. The food was fantastic, though the older lady who was our server was not friendly at all. I don’t know if she doesn’t like Americans of what her problem was? We are super friendly people and rather taken back on being treated the way we were. She made us wait an eternity for our check too, which was annoying. My wife asked about the tip and she said she has to put in before she runs the card, so my wife ended up tipping her 20%+ tip via cash. I hope she changes her tune and gives people from America better service and more friendly in the future.
30/03/2024: Had a great meal here. Did a walk-in on a busy Thursday night and they were able to accommodate us. Service was fast and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the Sheppard’s pie - very good.

03/04/2024: A Cead Mile Failte in a French Restaurant. The only thing that surpasses incredible food is the friendliness. The team at Hugis are proud of their work and it shows. Skipped to a main of halibut (pictured) with chili brocolli. Quality five star fresh food. Leave room for cheese plate and fine wine. Fantastic team Sorcha, Sarah, Dimi as a front of house team you do your colleagues proud. Tip on Sunny Days get a window table...
02/04/2024: We celebrated my mother's 80th birthday in Hugos last Saturday night, it was an amazing night in every way. The staff were brilliant, friendly and efficient and truly made the whole experience so special for us all. Justin, the manager was so helpful and friendly to deal with in organising this event. We had a group of 12 of us, the food and service was outstanding, everyone enjoyed it and are still talking about how delicious the food was. We had the entire downstairs to ourselves, it was truly special, a beautiful night to remember, huge thanks to the incredible wonderful staff there who made this night so special for such a milestone birthday. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. 10/10

02/04/2024: Fantastic CAFE with sweet and savoury pastries, eat in or take out. The soup 🍲 is absolutely 💯 HOMEMADE every spoonful is delicious and nutritious. The toasted 🥪sandwiches are fresh and very tasty. Cakes and pastries 🍰are made on the premises and are super fresh and very professionally prepared and presented. If you need anything for party food, look no further. Staff are so lovely and kind great chat, making the whole experience a return event.

30/03/2024: Eaten here twice now. Menu is relatively non fuss with some interesting unusual dishes sprinkled throughtout. Everything is executed well. Their pancakes are the best I've had. Pricing is fair and competitive. This place deserves to succeed and become a local favourite. Highly recommended.
29/03/2024: Brilliant spot. Top quality food, the staff were really sound and the food is reasonably priced-a Dublin rarity.
Avocado, spinach & eggs on toast was 5/5.
Definitely coming again.

01/04/2024: The price is a bit high for this small town, but it’s still worth it. The atmosphere and decoration of the entire restaurant are very good, and the waiters are also very friendly. The highlight is that the carrot cake here is super delicious! The cake itself is great, the Creamcheese on top is solid, and paired with the fresh cream on the side it makes it even more refreshing!
The price is a bit high for the little town, but it is still worth the money, the whole vibes is good and the easter deco definitely makes the place cuter!
Their carrot cake is a must have! It's really good, I would say it's the best ever! The base is really nice, along with the fresh cream actually make it better!
27/03/2024: Lunch recommended by the staff at Athenry Castle. Food in Ireland never disappoint. The cakes were good, not too sweet.
I see a lot of people ordering tea which they make out of loose tea.
It's quite a small place and the place was quite full for a weekday lunch. I feel a lot of locals come here.

25/02/2024: Stopped in here for food after being at the handball alley. Lovely dinner and very good portion size for the price. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great pint also. Will definitely return if in the Crinkle area again.

The food was delicious and we were very happy as vegetarians in an enemies land. There were not many vegetarian options in Bantry during the low season in February. Thanks a lot

Jacks Coastguard Restaurant
30/03/2024: Just wanted to have a pint and chowder after sauna at Cromane beach. Like two different adjoining worlds, entered little local pub and went through it to fancy restaurant with amazing view. Had our pints, chowders and some other starters, all was delicious, stuff were super kind, above that we could watch the sunset and then pianist came to play beautifully… what an evening ☺️

Location is Stunning.
If you're visiting Cromane, it's a Must visit. 2 course lunch, starter or dessert . €27 per person.
