The best restaurants

29/08/2026: Phenomenal homemade bread, pastries and good coffee! Huge satisfying sandwiches and a great vegetarian and meat selection.

22/08/2026: We walked past Berkana when we first arrived in Waterford and noticed the sandwiches that people were eating on the patio. On our way back, we stopped for a late lunch and ordered 2 sandwiches…. The turkey special and the parm ham special. The white bread had a soft crumb and a crispy crust. An amazing masterpiece! We also had a homemade apple/raspberry tart… perfection! We chatted with the owner and came to realize that she and her partner bake and create all the breads, pastries and treats themselves! On our way out she gave us a lovely pastry. Try this cute little sandwich/salad, coffee and pastry shop…. You’ll be glad you did!

03/09/2026: Great drinks made by Matteusz and very attentive service from Letícia. They made us feel so welcome and enjoyed chatting to them!

03/09/2026: Astonishingly bad martini cart service. Rolling out a cart with a bunch of martini glasses and a “pre-mixed” bottle of mid vodka and a small carafe of whatever they called Pickled then pouring both into my glass is NOT martini service. The server insisted everything was cold and pre diluted. Not only was it not cold enough but was really terrible. Extremely bitter, not “pickled” and not what one would expect from a high end cocktail lounge. I understand the modifiers are meant to rinse the glass, which would have been a vast improvement but the entire contents were poured in the glass making it undrinkable. I expected the martini to be shaken (if vodka) tableside.

21/08/2026: Had a horrid time getting there via taxi but they were kind and got things improved quickly. Great wine selection. Good, calm ambiance. The food was genuinely outstanding. So often a restaurant doesn’t live up to the hype. Mamó exceeded it. Worth the trek from Dublin center, just take the DART, not a taxi. Howth in general was just lovely as well.

20/08/2026: Couldn't fault it, the waitress was so lovely. So attentive and after I found out she was the owner, she was so lovely. Food was superb, definitely recommend

07/09/2026: I had a great experience at 56 Central in Galway! The staff were really nice, friendly, and managed everything very well, even during the busy times. The restaurant was quite busy with tourists, but the service was still well organised. The food was amazing overall. I had the Irish breakfast, and everything was delicious, although the bacon was a little overcooked for my taste. The burger, however, was absolutely amazing! If you’re visiting Galway, I definitely recommend stopping by 56 Central. It’s a busy and popular spot for tourists, and for good reason. A must-visit when you’re in Galway! 🇮🇪🍔

06/09/2026: Amazing staff and service. Rose was great with the kids and really accommodating. The food was amazing as well, highly recommend the spicy tuna roll.

04/09/2026: Pizza is amazing and delicious, even compared to Italian standard. They don’t take reservations but will call you when a table is ready. For a pizza a bit pricey - would recommend anyhow.

11/08/2026: Great wine list. Food was delicious. Inside is quite dark, but beautifully appointed. The terrace is a coveted patio, but much more light.

05/08/2026: Dublin's Five Star Secret! Wow what a find. Easily missed on Baggot St this is really terrific - and a must visit for every steak lover. Food is top class - so succlient that accompanying sauces can be skipped. However an absolute must is the creamed cabbage. Great selection of fine wines to choose from and top notch cocktails. Above all Bloom offers true Five-Star Service (which is not always found in Dublin). Ross and Cal were not only warm and welcoming but offered great guidance of the menu. Seek it out - You will not be disappointed! Top Tip - have yet to try but the lads recommend Steak Tuesday for those looking for a great deal...

06/09/2026: The food was absolutely incredible and the staff are all very nice and accommodating. Really like the place. Only thing that lets them down was that both teapots had encrusted food on and both a glass and a cup had some other food related dirt in them.

08/09/2026: On a fresh morning with a light breeze and the sun shining - bless Quick ferry across - takes less than 20 minutes - very cheap looked like the kids went free - very enjoyable in the lovely morning it was.

02/09/2026: Took this ferry just to experience it, it’s only a 10 min journey then it’s stunning coastal views for the drive.

15/08/2026: To be honest it was quite loud there was a birthday party behind us and they were having a ball There was a man beside me and he had to take out his hearing aids that made me laugh 😃 . Put that aside everything else was beautiful food ,staff and most of all the company I was with 😉 I would recommend booking as it is a small restaurant If u love seafood I highly recommend this place as u will not be disappointed.

14/08/2026: *Hemingway’s — Where You Go Hungry and Leave Planning Your Comeback* Delicious Asian fusion, and plentiful in the best way — no tiny artful portions, just real, flavorful food you actually get full from. Warm atmosphere, beautiful decor everywhere you look, the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable in. Service was super nice, welcoming, and accommodated every wish without making you feel needy. Bonus: parking is easy, just 1 minute away by the promenade. No circling the block for 20 minutes. Great food, great vibe, great people. I’ll be back.
