The best restaurants

20/09/2025: Pricey even for Dublin, but considering anywhere else in the world same quality of food would be 4 times more expensive. Go for the 8 courses tasting menu, next time choose your favourite :)

16/09/2025: First off, the service was massively carried by the two women who assisted our table, so the four stars service wise are solely for them, rather for the staff who took payment. Otherwise the service felt awkward. Note I tipped appropriately, judging by the expression of the staff who saw it. To echo the many other reviews, I felt incredibly underwhelmed on the experience at this price point approaching 250euros each person, including 30 euros for a glass of rum with a splash of milk and cinnamon - more satisfied with the 5 euro chai latte I had earlier in the day with the same spice profile. Food was overly salted, such as the fish, and the appetizers, the meat fared slightly better flavor wise. No wonder they had pretty open space for a two star Michelin restaurant while Chapter One is booked full at least a month out.

06/10/2025: Excellent. A must-visit for anyone passing through these parts seeking a relaxing atmosphere, combined with impeccable service and superb cuisine. From the first moment, you feel pampered, and when you take your first bite, you know you've stumbled upon the best Italian restaurant in all of Ireland.

04/10/2025: Incredible little Irish pub! We wanted to grab a bite to eat while wandering around, and we stumbled upon this little pub. A wonderful surprise, very local, few tourists, and extremely affordable. We had a ham, tomato, and cheese toastie for €5, just what we were looking for. Great atmosphere inside, very local and quiet. Plus, there are lots of artist photos on display. A must-see!

29/09/2025: I had a takeaway- fantastic ribs, great flavours. Both mains were chicken and, although the flavour was good, the chicken was very dry, tough - I wish Id gone for tofu. Real shame, sort out your chicken please this could have been my best takeout this year

13/07/2025: I dunno what the heck is wrong with this place. I'm new to Cork, Clonakilty and Ireland in general and was denied entry simply because I was alone. Although I've never been in.... I'll certainly never be back. Head to GG's instead! These guys are funny as hell saying they were closing at 21:00. Lots of lads had said the "security" staff packing roofies. Didn't believe it until that night.

16/09/2025: Really good food in a nice little restaurant. Very friendly staff. We were there for lunch and had the Thai Green curry and the Belly Pork, both of which were delicious. Strongly recommended if you are nearby.

31/08/2025: Delicious and filling meal! We started off arriving 30 mins late after a problem with our car, but staff were very accommodating. Settled in to the tasting menu and everything was gorgeous and perfectly cooked. They adjusted nicely when one guest had intolerance to cream. Was expecting to leave hungry after some reviews but was completely full at the end - particularly after the focacia and almond cake. Fish course was particular highlight, lamb dish slightly salty for my taste. Overall would highly recommend - specifically to have tasting menu as dont think would be as worthwhile to have a la carte.

12/10/2025: Had our engagement party here and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. I also had my 30th here before and it was just as brilliant. The staff are always so friendly and helpful, and the pints of Guinness are top-notch. Such a great place for any occasion, the owner runs it so well. Highly recommend!

23/10/2025: really nice place and a crazy atmosphere... I had the best breakfast here in Dublin, yes the food is very good but the atmosphere these guys know how to recreate makes it even better- it really feels like at home in a large family… great Vincent and Julio
