30/12/2025: A fabulous restaurant and bar. The place is spotless and the staff friendly. The food was delicious and THANK YOU for so many gluten free options. Kudos to you. Best menu I've seen to date for bar food.

18/12/2025: Best restaurant ive been to in Killarney. Food was delicious, plenty of options on the menu. Slow braised beef was delicious, as was the complimentary guinness soda bread. The service was perfect, Brendan and co were very warm, attentive and helpful and we had the craic with them. Highly recommend

01/01/2026: Lads, lads, lads....what are yis at? Pint of Guinness couple of weeks ago was €5.95. Expensive when it's available in several establishments in Dublin for still under a fiver. But fair enough your in a premium location so have to fork it out. Fast forward to Diageo increasing their pint of Guinness by 12c, add on VAT brings it to 15c. That would mean the pint in Grogans should be €6.10 now. Terrible stuff. Anyway inflation is with us, such it up. Off I go up to the bar with my €6.10 in my pocket. "Pint of Guinness when your ready please" fast forward 2 mins. "There ya go sir, that'll be €6.40 please. Speechless. .......Just pure greed. Never again.

30/12/2025: I came here on a Saturday night to have a beer during my holiday in Dublin. Honestly I didn't find anything special in this pub: the place was packed so I had to go outside to have my beer. Prices are high but in line with other pubs in Dublin (7/8€ for a pint).

12/01/2026: Very expensive & not good enough food quality to match the high price. I went here before COVID and rated this place as my favourite restaurant in Cork City. But not anymore after this experience. Staff were appearing very friendly at the beginning, and he was attentive. But he talked extremely fast, and for my Brazilian fiancée this was a struggle, even for myself, a Corkonian, it was very fast but it was ok just a bit of a rushed of service how he spoke to us. However, when my Brazilian fiancée addressed it in a nice way the waiter replied with "is that a problem for you" which was very rude, uncalled for, and inappropriate. It was not professional & it has left us with a bad view of the place since. It's a shame, it went from being my favourite restaurant in Cork City to being a place that I don't know if I would return to again after that bad experience.

07/01/2026: Great restaurant with great service. The steak was to die for and the brown bread is the best around. Pity they don’t sell it in loafs! Make sure you book as it’s quite a small restaurant and very popular.

31/12/2025: They kindly fitted 13 of us in last minute on new years eve. We had such a gorgeous evening and meal. So helpful and accommodating with 7 kids! Food was delicious. We had chicken wings to start, then lamb shank and salmon , all yummy! Service was excellent, so friendly and we had a great time. Thanks again, highly recommended 👌

15/10/2025: Delicious food and very patient, friendly service. We had a perfect evening! Thank you so much :) We would definitely recommend you! The dessert was amazing and a perfect ending! The awards on the wall are rightfully there and speak volumes.

30/12/2025: Was ignored by staff when we went into their restaurant. Seated ourselves after being ignored after waiting for a few minutes for a table. Think everyone was local and got the impression we weren’t welcome by staff. Took a few minutes for someone to acknowledge us and bring a menu despite 3 staff members being there with a half empty restaurant. Once we finished food (19 euro for a burger with a soggy bun that was straight out of the packet and cold lettuce, raw onion and slice of tomato) we went to the bar to pay the bill. There was a bartender (dark curly hair with facial hair- he was the primary staff member that seemed to completely ignore us when we were just trying to give you some business) who was folding cutlery into napkins who we waited for him to acknowledge us but he didn’t so after an awkward minute of standing there we asked him could we pay the bill he said “I’ll be with you in a second”. He went to give the cutlery to a table and then walked off- his colleague came through by chance and took payment. Very strange atmosphere due to staff. Ate and left promptly.

07/01/2026: We booked on New Year's Day based on the menu advertised at the door that day. When we went that evening the 2 dishes, muscles and steak, that we had travelled for were not available. It was so disappointing 😞 I ordered the fish which was to have a herb gnocchi with it but instead I got a type of potato cake thing. So all in all it was so disappointing. On the flip side tho, the staff were polite and attentive.
