Lowry's Bar
Clifden
09/06/2026: I went there to try the Irish whiskeys, and my girlfriend ordered the Dulay gin with Fever Tree tonic, the best tonic in my opinion. The prices are reasonable, and the waiter gave excellent advice.
06/06/2026: Having looked in all other bars in Clifden I would always choose this spot. Lovely friendly staff, great music, clean and tasty pints. Plus super welcoming to our dog. Thanks lads 😊

Mad Egg
Dublin
26/05/2026: Lovely food and great service from Bruno
26/05/2026: Mad Egg has gone downhill massively in recent months.
4.95 for about 12 lukewarm French fries is ludicrous as was the bland and tasteless Mac and cheese.
Thank God the chicken portions were still decent and tasty.
There's a reason the place is no longer rammed full. For the prices, it's no longer worth it.

Market Lane
Cork
23/05/2026: Beautiful spot to eat, helpful staff but the famous stew lamb hardly had any taste
23/05/2026: Second time here — this time for lunch — and it definitely didn’t disappoint. From the welcome to the service and all the way through to the bill, everything was spot on. Had a really great time again and we’ll definitely be back. Plus, the food is amazing!

Elbow Lane
Cork
13/05/2026: Overall it was good and was surprised to find the restaurant packed at 530pm.
The smoked goat cheese was delicious, punchy smoked goat cheese taste paired surprisingly well with a coconut polenta.
The next highlight was the lamb rump - really grill well with such a difficult cut and quality of the lamb was good.
I think the let down for me was the ribeye - it wasn’t bad but it’s not exceptionally good and the butter that was torched at the top didn’t do much of the trick.
30/04/2026: Amazing delicious meat. So good advice from waiter.
Good beers

Gaillot Et Gray
Dublin
15/05/2026: The coffee is excellent, always tastes great. Love their croissants and their bread. The staff are also very nice. Sandwiches are also excellent, haven't tried the pizza yet, but will definitely give it a go
04/04/2026: Fantastic food and exceptional service!
I can’t believe that I haven’t eaten pizza here before! Maybe that’s a good thing as I now have a new obsession to try everything on the menu!
A varied pizza menu to suit every taste plus a fabulous vegan option.the pizza itself is incredible a thin base with the most delicious ingredients and the ementhal cheese is delicious.
The Cote Du Rhone wine was unreal, great quality and fantastic taste.
The staff were so friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about everything on the menu.
Very reasonably priced and exquisitely decorated space!
I’m a new fan and I can’t recommend a trip to Gaillot et Gray enough!

Tig Coili
Galway
02/06/2026: This place doesn’t serve food, but it’s a great spot to experience traditional Irish trad music. The atmosphere is authentic and welcoming, and the crowd tends to be a bit older, which adds to the charm. If you’re looking for genuine Irish music and a classic pub experience in Galway, it’s well worth a visit.
31/05/2026: Very cozy and very local place to sit and listen to the music and have pint of beer.

14/06/2026: We had starters and mains and everything was so fresh and delicious. Our waiter Bogdan was very attentive and recommended dishes when we asked his opinion, he really took good care of us. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
14/06/2026: Food was excellent, service was great. Had the specials halibut & prawns in tomato and feta sauce both were great. Shared a banofi dessert which was fab, a nice small portion and very tasty. We'll be back! Would highly recommend.

de Barra
Clonakilty
24/05/2026: We ended up at DeBarra's on a Monday evening via a travel guide. Every evening there is live music by local musicians. The atmosphere is intimate, and you can sit comfortably in front of the fireplace. Highly recommended.
15/05/2026: We stopped in with a small group for drinks, conversation and music. Loved the atmosphere and the music. If you want beer or booze, they have all the Irish choices. And the bartender, working alone, did a pretty amazing job of keeping up with a crowded bar room. Don't ask for a cocktail, though. They don't serve them.
