19/11/2025: Great Mascots show held at Greenhills. Kids really enjoyed

16/11/2025: I visited today for the Caherdavin Celtic Bingo Night. It was very enjoyable. The guys on the counter in the cafe let me bring a plate of chips into the function room so I am giving them a mention here They do nice carvery here from other reviews and it’s lovely I will definitely be back here again for another quiz night or vacation

07/10/2025: We recently hosted a roundy birthday event at Lottie's for about 60 people. It was a bit of a wing and a prayer as we hadn't attended any event in their upstairs space before, but thought the room looked great. The evening could not have gone any better, thanks largely to their excellent team. The room looked super on arrival - it's perfect for this kind of celebration. Natasha and Geoff were great to deal with beforehand, and on the evening Sam was our touchstone and he was excellent. Guests spent the night raving about the venue and the food. The bbq buffet was delicious - great grilled meats and salads - and just that little bit different. They also happily took in and served up a birthday cake from elsewhere. The musician was happy out with his set up - and good music system in situ too. The adjoining covered outside terrace is a great facility, as it ensures against the party becoming disjointed between inside and outside people. The room is just a lovely size, you have it to yourself, and even the mixed toilets are a bit of craic. Couldn't recommend Lottie's highly enough for a private event.

26/11/2025: It is many years since i had visited the former Midway, now the Maldron Hotel in Portlaois. As a meeting venue it is so handy just off the motorway. The meeting rooms are to a high standard. Refreshments including lunch were very good (food was always nice here!). There is plenty parking also. Spare youself the carnage of the N7 and have your meeting here.

14/11/2025: Beautiful place, with great selection of cocktails quirky and traditional, wines, whiskeys, gins and everything else! Not a casual place, need to wear your best blouse or polo. With that it can be more expensive side for Midleton.

28/11/2025: This is probably my favourite hotel in Ireland, never mind Kilkenny!. I've been here many times and it never disappoints. However, there is one thing missing in the beautiful room we had. That is a mini fridge, they used to have them before COVID, but they took them out and never put them back. That's my only gripe as this hotel is a wonderful experience, food was beautiful, especially breakfast. Henry looked after us so well, he was very efficient and friendly, and nothing was a problem. I would always recommend this hotel.

27/11/2025: Fantastic place to stay, so central. Breakfast really good and service excellent. The only little quibble I have is the room could have been a little warmer.

07/12/2025: Lovely restaurant with a charming old Irish atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even nicer. I ordered the Wagyu burger — it was tasty and well-prepared, with good-quality beef, mushrooms, and onions. I expected a bit more depth of flavor given the description, maybe something to add a little contrast like a pickle, but overall it was still a very good burger in a great setting. Would happily visit again.

18/11/2025: Excellent coffee served in the foyer, also carvery lunches are available in the restaurant. We chose the fish and chips option from the a la carte and they were excellent !!! Really tops! Fresh fish and a lovely crispy batter! Served with fries, peas and tartare sauce! Highly recommended!

10/11/2025: Recently had a baby shower in the garden room absolutely fabulous 👌 staff were so accommodating and friendly would definitely recommend the garden room for an intimate event 10 out of 10

19/09/2025: I had such a great experience ! The burger was fresh and delicious, full of flavour, and the shawarma was juicy and so yummy. My son is usually very picky with food, but even he loved it .and that says a lot! The whole family enjoyed the meal. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend! The best think I like as mom ,the kitchen and the shop is very clean, normally I do t eat outside but I really love to eat or order from here 😁

15/07/2025: Hello. We’d like to share our disappointing experience at your café. We approached a staff member (not sure if they were a cashier or a waiter) to ask about the price of the tiramisu. Unfortunately, they didn’t know and just ran off saying “one moment” — we ended up waiting for about three minutes while they were gone. Eventually, they came back and told us it was €3 for a portion of tiramisu served in a plastic container, around 200 grams. Sadly, the dessert was very disappointing: it was hard in texture, had an overpowering smell of alcohol, and the taste was unpleasant — we couldn’t finish it and had to throw it away. Moreover, no one told us if we were allowed to sit anywhere, so we ended up eating on a worn-out bench in the shopping centre. We also had to ask for spoons separately. Overall, there was no proper service and the quality of the food was extremely poor.
