18/10/2025: This is absolutely ridiculous! Today I went to this restaurant and was initially impressed by its decor and the staff's friendly attitude—it seemed pretty decent. They confirmed my order: shared appetizers and a rack of lamb. When the appetizers arrived, I noticed each plate had three beef meatballs, which was a pleasant surprise since the portions were quite generous. The beef balls had a texture similar to those sold at Lidl, but without the gelatinous quality, and they lacked the usual chewiness and bounce. After finishing the appetizer, I waited for the grilled lamb chops, only for the server to rush us to pay and ask if we wanted anything else to drink. When I inquired about the lamb chops, the server was genuinely surprised and claimed they hadn't taken my order for lamb at all. I retorted, “I didn't order lamb chops?” and immediately requested an additional order. After a wait, they claimed the last portion of lamb chops was sold out and offered an alternative instead. I was furious! We had clearly ordered appetizers plus lamb chops when placing the reservation, yet they only served two appetizers. This logic was utterly unacceptable. Is it reasonable for two people dining to order only appetizers and no main course? The food itself was passable, but those two beef meatballs were shockingly priced at 20 euros. What infuriated me most was the insincere “apology” from the front desk as we left—utterly repulsive! This dining experience left me utterly disappointed, feeling like I'd been toyed with.

08/10/2025: Food was really really good and tasty, really big portion as well, 10/10 would recommend.

30/10/2025: This is a boutique hotel, in the city center but a bit further from the noisy streets which I loved. It has it’s own little area at the end of a small street which is great. Restaurants and supermarkets very close by. The rooms are decent although way too many furnitures, which made it more crowded that it needed to be. There was no kattle in the room and the espresso machine didn’t function perfectly but the team is so helpful, they fixed it all. They even helped me with an electricity adapter. Super nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend it and I would give 4.5 starts if that existed.

04/10/2025: Found this place on accident but so glad we did! Awesome pub!!!! We had quite possibly the best pour of Guinness in all of our Ireland experiences at Darcy's. Thank you Adam!!!!! You made the right choice leaving your old job to work here!!!! We will be back on our next trip to Ireland!

21/09/2025: Terrific Saturday night live entertainment with James D - you have to hear this young artist. Great Irish pub vibe, lots of singing along, solid selection of Beers. No food - snacks only - so eat before you get there.

03/11/2025: Decor and staff are lovely. Location is good with suitable parking. However, there is an unbearable smell from the toilets right at the door as you walk in which was not a pleasent greeting for the first time visiting. Food was not great. Sour taste from the mac and cheese. The seabass and potatoes were greasy and smothered together on a plate in dill sauce. Would have preferred the sauce on the side. I got apple crumble for dessert which was a bit of crushed apple on a plate with crumble thrown on top so it just fell apart.

30/10/2025: Went here for a family members 21st. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, always asking us how our food was and if we wanted more drinks. It was quiet but most likely because of bank holiday weekend lights festival in the centre of the town. Food was delicious and brought out promptly. Staff even helped by bringing out the cake. Would definitely recommend even for casual dinner outing or a group/family event.

19/10/2025: I had the most lovely stay at the Fitzwilliam Hotel in Dublin. The location, service, experience, food, comfort. I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you!

16/09/2025: Beautiful hotel located in a central area, easy walking access to shopping, transit is just outside the door. Service is impeccable, staff are friendly and accommodating, breakfast service is fast and very good, highly recommended. Marjorie, was my go to for breakfast, she was pleasant, funny and welcoming, a great ambassador for the hotel look for her you'll understand my comments! Hotel is a little on the expensive side, but you will not regret the choice, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and special.

19/10/2025: Carvery is a joke. Ridiculous queue. No organisation. Mad set up. Nice spot for a drink but for eating it is the strangest laziest set up around.

04/10/2025: Duck gyros were lovely as starter Chicken wings starter big portion with a sweet taste Steak sandwich for main was cooked to perfection - steak just pulled apart and the ciabatta was crispy Steak with chips for main was also perfectly cooked Snickers cheesecake was unique Baked Alaska was perfectly done with ice cream and tangy fruit in the centre Wait staff were friendly especially the man who waited our table Would recommend

29/08/2025: Came to clonakilty camping and ate out twice before we discovered Whales Tail OMG it’s worth travelling here just to eat the food the other time atmosphere the setting indoors and outside is just amazing Irene was in total control and with such a pleasant attitude to customers and staff ensuring both guests and staff enjoyed being there Billy in the kitchen ensured exceptional service and an interesting menu full of variations for us to enjoy We came once and returned the following night before we went home we can’t recommend enough if you’re in Clonakilty don’t miss out on a wonderful experience

16/06/2025: Slightly misunderstood, I was expecting Hotpot to feature on the menu so was a bit disappointed when there was none. . The sandwiches and salad are pretty good though and the chips are tasty. Also, importantly, the chips were hot. The soup was tasty but slightly over seasoned to my taste. Normally I don’t use salt, so even a little bit makes a strong hit for me. There were a couple of families eating at nearby tables and the kids were well catered for and the servers were very good with the young ones. Service was good, efficient & friendly. Price wise it was pretty reasonable too.

02/09/2025: OMG, I am in love with this place and all staff which is working there. My friend was celebrate birthday there and I really enjoyed food ant drinks, cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend this place if you want to feel warm and friendly vibes. 🥰
