Doing a course in Oideas Gael and the having lunch here for the weekend. Incredible homemade comfort food perfect for keeping fuelled on a breezy spring day. The excellent service is typical of the friendly Donegal way. A really homey environment with elements of a typical country kitchen. Fun music as well. Ar fheabhas ar fad 💕

20/04/2025: Must visit ! If you are reading this to decide if this place is worth the visit then look no further. If you love good pastries , the smell of freshly baked pastries, coffee or sandwiches and looking for a soul happy meal this place should be on your list.
Got the Pastel de nata and cinnamon roll. The croissants, coffee and sandwiches looked absolutely amazing. You can see the chef prepare fresh pastry dough. Staff are super friendly and patient even when there’s a long wait. It is hard to make up your mind when everything looks that amazing.
Note this a takeaway spot when we visited. But do not miss this place!!! ❤️

19/04/2025: We arrived early and were seated without any fuss. The menus arrived and orders were made. My wife had very nice fish, her side of potatoes was sent back to be reheated and was returned hot after she was finishing her meal. My Veal was first class. Served in batter, it was nice and hot. The vegetables and potatoes were warm under the Veal. Altogether it was nice food which could have been served properly.
28/03/2025: Very authentic Italian restaurant with a few tables and very friendly and attentive service. The only surprise in the menu is ravioli with fish which I guess is the way to adapt to Irish taste. I had the ragu talliatelle and it was good. The first course with aubergine and it was too oily for me. The chocolate mousse for dessert was perfect.

13/04/2025: Catalyst is my favourite coffee shop, the staff are so lovely, the drinks are top tier (the matcha is my favourite!) and the service is amazing. The staff are so friendly and the interior is beautiful too, lots of plants and very clean. As vegans, my family and I appreciate the wide variety of vegan options served at the Florence road café, great for vegans, vegetarians or just people who want to try more plant based options.
Highly recommend checking out catalyst, you’ll become a daily customer like myself 😂🥰

16/03/2025: Don’t buy a gift voucher. Our experience was ruined by the verification needed for a gift voucher. We had a digital voucher which appears to be suspicious and according to staff easily copied’. We had to email the manager the original voucher and were left standing in a busy bar like criminals waiting for judgement. It was a humiliating experience which ruined an otherwise beautiful evening.
16/03/2025: The Railway Tavern never disappoints. It's classy and cozy at once, with a gorgeous ambience and atmosphere. My kids love watching the chef work at the huge grill. Food is spectacular, perfectly portioned and beautifully presented. Steaks were sublime and perfectly cooked. Kids' menu is brilliant and the cabbage side is a highlight. Staff are friendly and attentive. Already looking forward to our next visit.
