The best restaurants

31/07/2025: Nice bakery, we had quiche and two little chocolate cakes which were really good. Unfortunately the sausage rolls were disappointing, the pastry was excellent, but the sausage meat was just processed pink stuff. They just visit Hugo’s in Lahinch for a real sausage roll.

25/06/2025: The cruffins are to die for! Only can but cruffins from Wednesday to Sunday tho. Sooo yummy 😋😋😋

10/09/2025: Great Guinness,friendly staff.Was my grandads local so went in to raise a Guinness or two for his anniversary.

08/09/2025: The barman is as thick as two planks. I asked could I charge my phone and he sent me around the shop to buy a plug. I did that and he plugged it in. I then went outside and crossed the road because my crippled friend was in the park and he followed me with the phone and the charger to give it back, instead of just leaving it to charge. Couldn't just say "No, we don't charge phones". Couldn't just leave it for a minute after plugging it in. It was very clear I just needed to charge the phone. I bought a pint of Guinness to keep them happy. Just either unintelligent or ignorant. Probably a mixture of both. Just say no and I would have asked in the South Strand next door. Smarter barmen in there.

24/01/2026: Best service we have had in a restaurant, food was spectacular also, highly recommend for a special occasion.

30/12/2025: Fantastic meal. Friendly and relaxed but also professional. We had the discovery menu, order the cheese and the wine pairing.

09/03/2026: Very cold in our room and the event room, which was a pity as the hotel overall is newly renovated and looks fantastic. Staff are amazing and helpful and friendly, really enjoyed meeting them and having them help us throughout our stay. A real shame regarding the heating situation. If this were remedied then I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending this gorgeous hotel to anyone and would return! Spa looked amazing and very reasonably priced, just didn't get an opportunity to use the facilities.

13/02/2026: This is the best gluten free pizza I've ever had in Ireland, and a I’ve tried a lot. Deliciously thin crusty base and great combo of toppings. I’ve only ever got it as takeaway, but it is excellent and so fresh. The staff are also really friendly and accommodating.

18/03/2026: Came for a meal recently with my family it was relatively quiet with only 2-3 other tables sitted. We took our order swiftly but the food took about 25-30mins to come which isn't acceptable especially that 2 of the meals were kids sliders and myself with a chicken side. The food came out and my little one said that the fries don't taste right so I tried one and almost puked. They tasted old, bland, and absolutely gave a burnt taste. I alerted the waiter and she replaced them within less than 20 seconds which makes me think they knew of the issue but wanted to take a chance. The cheese sauce was also luke warm-gloopy and thick and too overpowering and not the usual quality that you'd expect. Another big issue is how the food was placed like no bowls or anything baskets inside cups and just ridiculousness impossible to eat anything without getting messy. A big shame as this location is usually one of the better ones but sadly I will not be returning to this location as It has happened to alot of people the past couple months.

27/12/2025: This, a quitebigger pub is welcoming you with an inviting and warm atmosphere. The decoration is absolutely unique. It attracts a mixed crowd, predominantly older but with some younger faces too. With plenty of screens, it's a great spot to catch a game and chat with friends. Parking is a breeze, right across the road at the village castle car park. And the pints and beers? Top-notch. The staff is friendly. Will definitely be back.

19/12/2025: Food is lovely, and staff are friendly when they come to you. Slow service, wouldn't recommend coming here if you're in a rush. Very few staff in the lower area and you end up having to wait a while if you sit there

27/11/2025: Quite a decent bistro with mainly seafood dishes. Reasonable price during weekday night for 2 course or 3 course meal, even though their famous lobster roll would need an extra pay. Food is okay, drink selection could be a bit more.

23/11/2025: Very overpriced. Food was a good standard but ultimately the quality and portion sizes dont reflect the price point. Service also didn't reflect the price. Staff seemed disinterested.
