The best restaurants

01/09/2026: I googled nice restaurants in Carlow / Kilkenny and i go the Michelin List website, i saw Bramley's listing and said to myself, I've heard about this place, but could not recall any detals, so just booked it and it was fantastic, we had the tasting menu. the food was amazing and the staff were just great. We will definitely be back and would recommend you to visit also.

07/08/2026: Very expensive tastless no seasoning tiny portions the fish was a sliver pork not bad but the flavours weren't there

19/09/2026: We ordered the three egg dishes off the brunch menu and weren’t disappointed. They had tea which serves two cups per pot and we got some takeaway treats. We arrived at 4.10pm after being disappointed for lunch at two other places and arriving very hungry. I always enjoy my visits here. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the food is fab with plentiful portions. Looking forward to trying the Reuben on my next visit :) thank you, lovely time.

29/08/2026: Every time I visit, there seems to be a new manager and hardly any familiar faces. A couple of weeks ago, I met two brilliant Irish singers who had the place buzzing, great craic. Came back tonight hoping to see them again, but it felt like a different place. No security and very dull music. Not what you would expect on a Friday night. The place has great potential, but it seems to be going downhill.

11/07/2026: The Inishowen Gateway is a very pleasant spot to stay, with friendly staff; comfortable and quiet rooms; an atmospheric bar; and a well appointed leisure centre, with indoor swimming pool and well equipped gym. The location is not too far from the town centre, the food is tasty, and the overall ambience is one of easy relaxation.

09/07/2026: It a great wee place to just relax and enjoy, great service good food and a pleasure to b there friendly staff clean premises great walks on the beaches and the park town is lively too.

01/09/2026: first two pints of guinness were very good but the last one was one that sombody didn't'' want or was left standing for a while as I like to finish a pint before I order my next pint this was not good for me when Iget a pint of Guinnes Ilike to see it cascading

06/09/2026: We were on holiday in Cavan for a week and on 3 occasions we visited Datse’s Cafe for lunch as we had been there before. Good variety of food available which was delicious, the staff are the most cheerful, helpful people you could meet. The sugar free lemon meringue was great. “ BEST WEE CAFE IN CAVAN” Thank you all, hopefully see you again,

27/08/2026: Love dolans. The place is never not busy. Their deli rolls are divine. And their baked goods section ie apple loaf is unreal. Staff are top tier and always friendly and helpful.

11/07/2026: A very spacious local lounge with a lot of tvs. Very efficient bar staff , friendly, smiley and welcoming.

08/07/2026: Great spot friendly staff prices are ok.4 stars because no food although you are allowed to get a sandwich from the centra next door.

04/08/2026: Nice setting and the food was good. We sat in for lunch, and despite there being a few tables waiting for food, our meals arrived quickly, which was great. The only downside was the service. We ordered coffees with our lunch, but they never arrived. When it came time to pay, we were almost charged for them until we pointed it out. The coffees were removed from the bill, but the staff member didn’t seem particularly concerned or apologetic about the mistake. Overall, the food and atmosphere were enjoyable, but the service could be more attentive.

23/07/2026: Eggs Benedict was a bit disappointing. The bread was overly toasted, not enough sauce, for a specific taste. Cappuccino was great

09/08/2026: Opening the door is not on time

09/08/2026: Ordered a bucket for one today, for takeaway. Added extra mash. Got home to eat wat and found 2 mash and 2 chips for some reason. And none of my chicken. Absolutely disgraceful service on behalf of the staff. Sloppy store do not order from here. Edit: Upon returning the store and explaining the situation the staff were very reasonable and replaced the items of my order.
