28/06/2026: Very good hotel! Rooms are very comfortable.

18/05/2026: The hotel is well-located, and Dublin city center is easily accessible by bus. The bus runs very frequently. The service staff is very friendly and helpful. The food in the bar was good and plentiful. The hotel is a bit older, which is noticeable in many places, but the rooms and beds were very clean. A good hotel for a trip to Dublin.

06/09/2026: First time eating here. We’d heard it was good and yes, a real homely atmosphere, good food, good service and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

31/08/2026: Absolutely love this place! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the food is really tasty. My family and I were all very happy and will definitely be back.

01/09/2026: This dinner seems to have quite a few customers as they have high turnover. The price is cheap comparing to anywhere else and the taste is decent. A good place for a quick fix.

30/08/2026: I've tried a few Chinese restaurants lately, so I can't say this is the best yet, but personally, we loved this one. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. Perhaps the only downside, if there's one thing that could be improved, is the smell, since they serve hot pot, and of course, you leave with that smell on your clothes.

13/09/2026: Quick and great service, personnel is very helpful and friendly. The pints are perfect, but look out for the chicken wings: they are highly addictive!

29/08/2026: Lovely that it’s dog friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. Service was lacking. Had to go the bar to order a long time after being given menu when wait staff are behind the bar texting. When the food came had to ask for seasoning and cutlery. The chowder was gelatinous and the seafood wasn’t great. Staff again didn’t come back and when I approached the bar to pay the bill I was ignored while staff continued speaking amongst themselves. I’d happily have brought this up at the time but when the staff aren’t interested in service would they care.

20/08/2026: Comfort pub grub, nice atmosphere, dogs and kids friendly, nice service, can get very busy so the service is a bit slow at times.

05/07/2026: Was there for dinner had the burger what a disaster hard dry not fit to be served shouldn’t have being serve , image is one thing but substance is another thing and time to up The food standard as the building is fabulous , the staff were lovely , but the food 😱

27/06/2026: Very disappointing experience. We ordered drinks at the bar, but there were no seats available. We were then told we couldn’t even stand in the only area that had space because staff were taking drinks from there, leaving us with nowhere to enjoy what we’d just purchased. The owner’s son was there and was quite rude, showing no basic courtesy and not even saying goodbye as we left. Overall, the service and atmosphere left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

30/08/2026: Ordered a yummy Ube Cake for birthday and it exceeded our expectations. Friends were absolutely delighted. Would definitely recommend Gold Ribbon.

25/08/2026: Lovely pastries, really enjoyed the ube buns!!

15/08/2026: Very disappointing experience. The chicken wrap had an unbearable smell, so I had to throw it away immediately as I was concerned the meat was spoiled or not chicken. The fries were also clearly not fresh and had a strange, almost plastic-like texture. I only ate a small portion of the kunafa and a few hours later I developed a very sore throat and needed medication. Overall, I would not recommend this place.

15/08/2026: We will never agree that because someone ordered a chicken kebab and the other person ordered a mixed kebab, that first person received 80 g less of meat for practically the identical price. For that meat reduction scam, you only received 1star. Maybe you'll learn something from that.

02/08/2026: We booked Walter’s for my brother’s 18th birthday and despite a hiccup on the music front, we had a great time! The staff were so warm and accommodating with us. They helped us make the cozy family celebration even cozier! If we didn’t live so far, we’d return often. Thank you again to all the staff members that interacted with us! (We brought our own cake! The staff were kind enough to store it for us, and helped us sing happy birthday!)

24/06/2026: Food & service where exceptional. It was fathers day. There was a birthday celebration in a corner area, extremely loud. Other everything was fantastic

14/06/2026: We stopped in for dinner and ordered the Battered Cod & Lasagna. Excellent food & friendly service. It gives a cozy, comfortable feel. Elaine took care of us during our visit and wanted to say thank you again.

07/07/2026: The new food served by Artur at The Royal Meath is incredible! Everything is so fresh and tasty, and the service is friendly and professional. It’s the perfect setting for an informal yet amazing meal - did I mention the great deals? You can’t go wrong dining in the Royal; the hot wings and bruschetta in particular are delicious, but there’s something on the menu for everyone. Paired with a cocktail or glass of wine, it’s the perfect midweek or pre-cinema meal. Not to be missed! 5 stars - would give it more if I could.

22/08/2026: Amazing coffee and the breakfast sandwich was incredible. We almost didn’t go for a bad review on the coffee, and this was one of the best coffees I’ve had ever. Cortado on oat milk was incredible!

16/08/2026: A 10/10 coffee. Stopped here on a drive to dublin. I had a decaf cortado. I often regret paying for decaf coffees out and about because they can taste like warm milk. If I had this coffee every day, I'd never need a caffeinated coffee again. I had to check it actually was decaf. So delicious. Also had a breakfast melt which was v tasty.
