20/07/2025: I love this place! Owner and staff are really nice, the coffee is delicious and the food is so tasty. My favourite dish so far would have to be the dynamite spice box - I allowed a relative to taste it; next thing you know they are looking to share the box between us! I highly recommend this place.

25/04/2026: One of the best biryanis I’ve had here! It really brought back the taste of my hometown. The chicken fry piece biryani and chilli chicken were both outstanding. 😋 🤩you deserve an extra star for the homely taste of biryani

23/04/2026: I really dont have issues with food. but with service yes. I was really hungry and they showed food was available in Too Good go App. I pre booked the food. And came to restaurant you know what restaurant is closed . It is fine you can close or open the restaurant any time you want. You can simply put food is available is too good too app. There are genuine people who book the food and come to store and gets disappointed and left hungry. This is straight robbery. And its our headache to talk to customer service explaining the issue and will take days for refund. Waste our time. If you cant serve food just dont put in app to order. its not the first time its being second time for me happening same restaurant really disappointed.

28/12/2025: Very expensive place to shop definitely won't be back myself as a bag of groceries cost us the bones of €70. For someone on the road though it might be good stop to grab a few bits. There's a sushi place inside which is a nice touch, but again very expensive. Overall not a bad pit stop but definitely not somewhere to do the weekly shop.

20/05/2026: Pretty abysmal food. Overpriced. Never had a Chicken Puri that is chicken just covered on sweet chilli sauce. King prawn Balti was just tasteless with little flavour. As for the breads small and way too doughy. I wouldn't recommend this place

01/11/2025: I absolutely do not recommend it. I returned to this pub after years. I had eaten here several times years ago and found the food excellent. Things have definitely changed now. I ordered a Guinness stew, which turned out to be a lentil, mushroom, and carrot soup. The meat was practically nonexistent. From the way they used spices, it's clear that whoever prepares the dishes doesn't know the flavors of Irish cuisine. I couldn't eat it. Stop for a drink if you like, but for food, go elsewhere!

02/04/2026: Five stars well deserved, excellent food and super friendly staff, most important they are listening customers. Must try best sausage rolls in town, and chicken chorizo toasted sandwich it should be awarded to the sandwich of the year.

09/03/2026: Wow. I wish Dublin had more sandwich shops of this calibre. I ordered the chicken avocado sandwich, but toasted, even though they say it’s best eaten cold. It was sensational! The bread was light and crunchy, with a beautiful texture. The filling was melted, a bit creamy, so delicious, and warm all the way through. It was generously portioned but not overly large. They obviously really care about their sandwiches and the quality of their ingredients. It was a minor triumph. The other sandwiches, with melted cheese, beef, etc., also looked so tasty. The staff were lovely too, and all for about 8 euro! Bargain! Great job, guys. Bravo!

The accommodations are beautifully kept, cozy, and inviting, striking that perfect balance between comfort and elegance. It’s the kind of place you find yourself already missing before you’ve even left. The food is nothing short of exceptional; thoughtfully prepared, delicious, and clearly made with care. And breakfast… absolutely magical. Served in the most quaint sunroom, you’re treated to peaceful views of the lush grounds with the gentle river flowing by. It’s the kind of setting that makes you want to linger just a little longer, soaking in every moment. What truly sets Ashbrook apart, though, is the feeling. You are not just a guest, you are genuinely cared for. They go above and beyond to make you feel so very welcomed, remembered, and appreciated in a way that is rare and so deeply special. Without question, this has become our “home” whenever we visit Durrow, and we wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else. A truly unforgettable experience every single time.

21/11/2025: Recently I ordered a salad, and it was incredibly disappointing. The chicken was so hard I couldn’t even bite it, and most of the box was just onions. There were only a few tomatoes and one very little of lettuce. That’s it. And they charged €6.50 for the box. There was basically nothing to eat it was really bad.

03/11/2025: My go to whenever I'm back in Dublin. Staff are always so friendly, real Dubs a heart of the community. I'm a scaldy Corkonian and introduced people in the area I stay with to go there for our cures when I visit after living around the corner. Always meet the standards of what you want with attention to detail, great value and service.

20/04/2026: My partner and I stopped by here for a few drinks and a comforting meal on a particularly beautiful day in Howth. We had the pleasure of being helped by Warren and Rory, who were both lovely to chat with, and great servers. Seems like a very special place.

18/04/2026: We came for lunch on the way back from a walk along the coast. The atmosphere was very nice and welcoming, and the food was excellent. We had Abbey chowder and fish and chips that were nothing short of spectacular. Worth considering compared to other more central restaurants.
