Stir Restaurant
02/04/2025: The room was much bigger than the pictures and very close to everything in the city centre.
24/03/2025: We didn't stay at the Hotel, but we decided to have dinner at the Hotel. I want to thank the Chefs for the wonderful food, and most of all I thank Manager Emilia who was in charge of our table. Thank you very much for the wonderful service, kindness and smile. We will definitely come back again. Thank you 😍

21/03/2025: Really lovely food. We had the steak sandwich and the pork belly. Big portions and very tasty. Excellent service also, very friendly staff.
22/02/2025: Nice staff, very attentive. Food was quick. I got steak sandwich. Little fatty but beautiful. Coleslaw fresh. Dinner gets an 8 out of 10 from me

11/04/2025: Absolutely brilliant , like going home to yer mammys for dinner . Fantastic friendly efficient staff. Will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Windows Overlooking the canal so lots to see going on.. disabled friendly, wide doors and a parking bay .
Doesn't open Mondays or Sunday got caught out one Monday 😉
But rest of week more than makes up for it .
25/03/2025: Lovely spot on the banks of the canal. Food was good but the service was slow though to be fair it was very busy

30/03/2025: Me and 3 friends (we are all from the uk) went to Dublin to watch the shamrock rovers vs bohemians Derby at the aviva stadium....we were looking for a Guinness or two before the match....so walking towards the stadium we came across this pub that looked closed....and then a guy that was hanging around outside asked who we supported to which we replied in an English accent that we were neutrals here to watch a game....the guy ushered us inside to a great bar full of people with a great atmosphere 👍.....really enjoyed our few hours there and would love to visit again next time I'm in Dublin

16/01/2025: Stopped off to get some smoked cod for the drive to Dublin.
It was the worst piece of fish I've ever had from a take away as it was only half cooked the fish itself was barely warm and the batter was still gooey inside.
2 bites and the rest got the bin

08/10/2024: Favorite chip shop of mine over more than a decade of visiting Cork on occasion. With that said my last visit a few weeks ago ended up with them giving me the wrong order that I did not realize was the case until long away from the shop. Chicken supper instead of the Cod Supper that I ordered. It was still good but it sad that I didn't get one last Cod Supper before they shut down for good this past weekend.

09/04/2025: Unfortunately, this Restaurant / Bar has really gone downhill. We used to really enjoy going there but this is the last time. 4 of us went for lunch and all meals were of really poor standard. Frozen chips overcooked so could barely eat. You would need a chisel to eat the veg it was so hard. We told the waiter but he wasn't that interested and said he could get us more but at this point we just wanted to leave. Considering the prices are quite high we will not be returning.
08/04/2025: so i have been to barry's for drinks , which i do recommend and the bar is very nice inside and good smoking area at the back, service wasn't the best , ordered a bottle of wine was literally blonked on the table, was a first , so being a gent i poured the wine for my wife . food now in all honesty was terrible except the chips which weren't burnt unlike the duck i had . i would go there again for a drink but over priced pub food in my opinion , and a suggestion to the owner please review your wine list , its very limited
