05/08/2026: A fine challenging parkland course. Worth a visit

20/07/2026: Played a senior open today with 3 others. A fabulous course, great mixture of holes, challenging and in great condition! Very welcoming in pro shop.. 20 euro to play an open, great value! Will definitely return and well done Balbriggan Golf Club!

14/08/2026: Our sandwiches were very tasty. A little expensive we thought. Mine was chicken for 11 euro and for that price was a little sparse on the chicken. But the quality of ingredients was very high. Lovely sourdough bread. And they were quite large sandwiches. The girls serving were fine but could have been a bit more smiley. The inside and outside space to sit is fine but could definitely be made better with twinkly lights or fake/real flowers. Generally though a very good cafe. Delicious triple chocolate mouse. All the desserts looked lovely though 4 euro for a cookie is steep.

25/09/2026: The Cellar at The Merrion Hotel is certainly a unique dining experience. Located literally in the cellar of this beautiful hotel, the restaurant has a very cool and distinctive atmosphere. We were a party of four with dinner reservations and were seated promptly with no issues. The menu is somewhat limited, but everything we ordered was first rate. The lentil soup was outstanding, and the fish and chips, chicken, bread, and desserts were all excellent. The cocktails were equally impressive. We had Old Fashioneds, Manhattans, and Whiskey Sours, and every drink was very well made. Unfortunately, the service was the major disappointment of the evening. There seemed to be very little attention paid to our table throughout dinner. On three separate occasions, one of us actually had to get up and find someone to get something that normally should have been taken care of without asking. Given the quality of the hotel and the food, we expected a much higher level of service. It really put a damper on what otherwise would have been an excellent dinner. Overall, the ambiance is unique, the food is outstanding, and the cocktails are excellent. However, based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend The Cellar specifically for dinner because the lack of attentive service took too much away from the evening. I would absolutely recommend stopping in for drinks, though. The bar had a great atmosphere and seemed to be really lively. If you’re staying at The Merrion, as we were, it’s also extremely convenient. Great food, great cocktails, and a very cool setting but for us, the dinner service simply didn’t match the quality of everything else.

22/09/2026: Absolutely terrible place and food floor was sticky and there was hair everywhere I found a hair in my fries and my friend later found a big curly hair in her sandwich. My soles were sticking to the floor and absolute sludge for food , I feel bad for the poor employees they deserve a better job and better working environment .

21/09/2026: I ordered a cheeseburger for myself and a meal for my mother. While making the food the staff was not wearing any PPE making the food with their bare hands and moping the floor at the same time. After very kindly requesting that they wear gloves at-least when they make the food,I was given a plain beef patty and bread for a cheeseburger , nothing else just a dry meat patty that looked as dry as the desert and bread , no cheese no onions no ketchup or anything. After asking THE MANAGER BY THE NAME “NERES” if they could make me a new one,He said no thats how they come.I had to educate the MANAGER on how to make a cheeseburger and he refused to show any sort of remorse whatsoever telling me “if you don’t like it go away” After this I was left very disappointed and upset as I was looking forward to an enjoyable meal with my mother. This man was very aggressive and disrespectful towards me for no apparent reason whatsoever. The place was also absolutely filthy , something has to be done about this place as Dublin airport is a lovely airport but this Burger King is an absolute disgrace and the staff are even worse! The way they treated me was appalling.

20/12/2025: Nice Bar with Latino Vibes thanks to the excellent Carlos the Barman. We spent a perfect birthday gathering there.

13/11/2025: The friendliest staff the nicest pints the best athmosphere do go and enjoy a gem in the heart of dublin.

17/08/2026: The wait for a soup, pasta and salad took more than half an hour on a Monday evening. I’ve never seen a salad where onion was basically the main ingredient — so cheap! The prices are the same as in Dublin, but the quality of the pasta was absolutely awful; the kids didn’t even eat half of it. I would never come back here, even if I were starving.

29/07/2026: Shrinkflation at its finest! 50% breadcrumbs? Net weight should be 600g, but after removing crumbs, there's nothing left. Foil itself is 20g, so 520g of product+crumbs? = 15...20% crumbs? Disappointing. 2 trays for €18? Why fool the customer?
