19/03/2026: Have just received a 4star rateing and very well deserved, very impressive service, good food and competitive prices. The waiting staff are just amazing.

20/07/2025: I love this place! Owner and staff are really nice, the coffee is delicious and the food is so tasty. My favourite dish so far would have to be the dynamite spice box - I allowed a relative to taste it; next thing you know they are looking to share the box between us! I highly recommend this place.

31/12/2025: So pleased with this gem on Main Street on the Waterford side of Youghal. Just before Christmas after peak lunch hour, we went for a taste of what Red Store had to offer. We were not disappointed. Two of our party had the pork (one of the specials), one Thai chicken curry and one had the 6oz steak. Food came out piping, and was just poetry on a plate. Desserts of jelly and ice cream, warm apple pie and strawberry cheesecake followed. Pork was succulent but where was the apple sauce (small over sight) and the well done steak was a ‘good tender enjoyable chew’ but missed the onions. Thai chicken curry had a tickle of spice and just right fit portion of rice. The hot Apple pie with ice cream had a perfect measured level of sweetness and softness ( no tough crust). Strawberry cheesecake was not served as a slice but in a wine goblet with dust crumbled biscuit for base and a very strawberry moussy top that was peaked with faux cream. Service was friendly and there was a lovely casual atmosphere to the place with conversation at normal decibel level being feasible. At time of visit / local artist Pauline Neville’s works were on display and her nearby art gallery is very much worth a visit. Great showing!!

08/10/2025: I’ve been coming here regularly to play pool. Had the pleasure of meeting the new manger Colin last night. He made me feel very welcome and is definitely bringing a bit of needed life and spirit into this spot ! Looking forward to coming back

21/02/2026: Great spot! The restaurant is comfortable, the staff was very friendly and attentive and I highly recommend the curry dishes. Only the spring rolls weren't to my personal taste (too greasy) but you can get free ice cream which is such a cute idea!

02/03/2026: AVOID at all costs. Ive legitimately been basically poisoned from this place twice. Sent to the ER once. I used to really like this place but on two separate occasions I’ve gotten food poisoning from this place. One of those times I had to go to the ER. My friends have also gotten food poisoning from here. My guess is there meat is not being properly stored or being deliberately saved beyond the point of safe consumption. Either way I would not risk eating here. Very disappointing and I hope they step it up and fix themselves.

01/08/2025: Off the beaten tourist path, little cafe. Workers are beyond friendly. Place is filled with locals (good sign) and wondering tourists. Solid scone and coffee for me. My son’s breakfast sandwich was solid as well. Compared to the crazy prices around the area, this was a 5 star stop for a no frills friendly breakfast. If you’re expecting something really fancy, this ain’t the place for you.

27/02/2026: I'm a coeliac. Ordered a toastie and soup. I got 4 slices of GF bread so two rounds of toasties!!!!! REALLY appreciated as The slices are smaller and you usually only get 2. Soup lovely too.
