The best restaurants

14/10/2024: Arrived here minutes before the shop opened on a Saturday morning hoping to get a last minute balloon organised for son’s birthday. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant with a customer who was there as they arrived for their Saturday shift. The women doing the balloons did a great job and son was delighted with his balloon ! Thank you so much. Customer service like this from a local shop encourages future visits for all hardware and party needs.

09/11/2024: Lovely little pub in a beautiful area, I’ve been going here since I was a kid visiting family, it’s had a lot of work done to improve the local area. The staff are very friendly and helped direct us to the new playground that’s been installed further down the marina. Food is excellent, would definitely recommend!

12/04/2025: We had a fantastic dining experience at the hotel’s restaurant. The service was truly spectacular—staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. From the moment we sat down, we felt well taken care of. The food? Delicious. We especially loved the appetizers—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite felt thoughtful, and the friendly atmosphere only added to the enjoyment.

29/03/2025: I went yesterday to have a brunch, the coffee was amazing but the pancakes were just pretty but the taste was not pleasant

20/03/2025: The food was great, really tasty. The service good and prompt but a little on the curt side. The atmosphere wasn't bad, but was a bit industrial for my tastes.

06/04/2025: We travelled all across Ireland and I am telling you Connemara was the most beautiful place I saw but this meal at Cloverfox....y'all one of the best I've had anywhere, ever. Bar none. The bartender was SO friendly and kind and answered all our questions, engaged with us in conversation about the history and area. I will go back. I will stay here. It felt like home.

31/03/2025: Restaurant review: An amazing place with HUGE portions of food. Next to the roastbeef there was a big amount of mashed potatoes brought, everything was extremely delicious and the waiters were so nice too. But you have to count with 25-30€ (including drinks) per person.

15/10/2024: Awesome experience! The farm is very well run. The public experience was on point on all levels including the sheep herding demo, lunch and entertainment. The drive is beautiful and the destination was worth the drive.

10/10/2024: I loved my entire trip to Ireland but this may have been the best part. We had a sheepherding demonstration and a delicious meal with music. Run by a lovely family. Go! You won't be disappointed. ❤️

17/04/2025: Probably the worst dinner I've ever had in a restaurant.... the first warning sign was when the food arrived to our table 2 minutes after we had ordered, i.e. a clear sign it had not been cooked fresh. Food was lukewarm at best. I got the vegan burger which was completely inedible - it was rock hard and burnt to a crisp. My dad got the beef burger which had a horrible grayish tint to it. Sent back the vegan burger, to which the manager reacted with absolutely no surprise at all, which makes me wonder if this happens on a frequent basis! He was not in any way apologetic and didn't seem to care at all. The only positive in an otherwise terrible dining experience was the lovely waitress who served us. Avoid at all costs.
