The best restaurants

02/05/2026: Good portions, ok quality, ok menu. Service was a bit slow. Party of 4, 2 of the meals came out 10 minutes after first arrivals. Not fine dining but good if other options nearby are fully booked.

25/04/2026: Recommended this restaurant to my family and we went last night 24/4/26..the place was busy toilets were very poor no toilet paper ect…ordered our starter and when it came my was cold( crab cakes)I let it go,but we waited one hour for our mains the place is tiny so I dunno what the hold up was,he handed me my food and the plate was hot and he laughed he actually laughed..NEVER AGAIN..

08/06/2026: Great place. We were a little bit late, so we called to ask them if it was possible for the kitchen to wait for us, and they did!! We asked for a ceaser salad and a seafood salad and they were both amazing. Spent the night in the knight room with an amazing view of the sunset. Highly recommend.

30/12/2025: I used to love Nomo. I was one of their very first customers on opening day and have supported them for years. Back then, the owner was almost always present. These days, it’s rare to see him, and I’ve visited on different days trying to notice a pattern. What I’ve observed is that when he is there, the ramen tastes exactly as it used to, which was impeccable. However, when he’s not around and the main lady chef is on duty, the ramen is noticeably different: blander and lacking the care and depth it once had. This is no personal criticism of the chef, just an honest observation about consistency. Unfortunately, like many growing restaurants, it seems that as the business expanded and the owner became less present, the quality has suffered. For now, I’ll be giving the Nomo trips a break.

05/05/2026: Really Love a relaxing beer in the sheds. Nice people and nice pints. They have a smoking area out back too with heaters, which is great! Been coming here once a week since I've found this wonder of a bar. Wanted to give 5 stars for food but they don't serve any. They do have crisps, bacon fries, scampi fries, peanuts etc. My friend has developed a bit of an addiction to Nobbys Nuts which have become very popular recently. I've no doubt if they did have food it would be top notch just like the beverages. As is the buz around the place, positive, chilled, great people, love coming here with the girls after work ♥

05/05/2026: Lovely little spot for a few pints. Always show the sporting events on multiple TV's. Good atmosphere, nice clientèle and outstanding pints and service. Bar workers are really nice people too. There's Some cool photos around the pub that brings you back in time. Coming back soon with my nephew who likes to watch Liverpool whenever they're playing.

28/10/2025: Well we often get fish there and it’s very fresh and the staff are very knowledgeable. Excellent bread and other deli items too. Also they have a little coffee corner and their coffee is delightful, you could try their Almond croissants – they are divine. They have a couple of tiny tables outdoors so you can enjoy sitting out there on a sunny day !

31/05/2026: Nice little hotel. Located right on the main road. Tourists partying until 3 a.m., constant truck and bus traffic make for a very noisy night. To top it all off, directly opposite is the local wheelbarrow vendor who starts loading his wheelbarrows with bricks from a distance of 10 meters at 5 a.m. Surely he's getting revenge on the revelers. It's a shame because the girls put in a lot of effort.

25/05/2026: Our golf group stayed at McSweeny Arms and we loved it!! Kelly Anne and her staff were the best. Cant imagine staying anywhere else. Rioms were prefect and the breakfast was first class! Red Breast nightcaps were a hit as well. Eight grumpy ole men absolutely loved it!! tc

28/10/2025: The place is really nice and the waitresses are very friendly. The service is great; the only downside is that there are hardly any vegan options, but they made a vegan meal for my friend and me.

26/10/2025: Delicious hidden gem, the banana bread French toast was so lovely, staff were lovely, thanks for being dog friendly, we were so grateful to have somewhere as nice as this to get cover from the rain and have delightful food.

24/11/2025: A minor drawback: The room was superb, but the window hooks weren't working (they were broken). Overall, a very nice hotel with a warm welcome and a generous and friendly breakfast... Thank you for your hospitality; I recommend it to everyone.

03/11/2025: 03/11/2025 at 14:15. Ordered a hot chocolate and a kinder mocha. Server barely even looked at us as she gave us the drinks, while continuing to chat to a coworker. Gave us the wrong drinks, wouldn’t have been as bad if she wasn’t so rude.

10/05/2026: The surprise highlight of our trip. Some of the most delicate, mouthwatering and perfectly curated dishes (we had the tasting menu) with a wine pairing that blew us away. Luis and Gaston are perfect hosts. A place I will come back to again and highly recommend!

30/05/2026: This hotel boasts wonderful hospitality from its staff. While it's about an hour and a half bus ride from Dublin, it's highly recommended for those who enjoy the slight inconveniences of a small Irish town away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel is in an older building, but it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff, in particular, were all fantastic. Perhaps because we were a group of five Japanese, every staff member we encountered was attentive, asking if we were enjoying our stay, where we'd gone, and so on. They even informed us in advance that the hotel lacked an elevator, demonstrating their thoughtful consideration. The restaurant food was delicious, and breakfast was excellent. It's located on a busy street, so it can get noisy at night, but a taxi from Dublin costs around €100. This hotel offers a truly authentic Irish hospitality experience.
