The best restaurants

16/03/2026: Just by chance we found this place one day and we have been here a few times so far the food is beautiful here well worth a little trip, good ingredients, good food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, clean restaurant. And you will get to meet the resident cat 🐈 who sleeps by the stove and thats a big win for me.

15/03/2026: The pork belly brunch is so damn great. I had the irish breakfast there before, and it's a good one, but the pigeon house korean pork belly is one of the best brunch dishes I ever had. You have to try it.

02/09/2025: Had out family holiday here this summer. Staff were so friendly, lovely hotel and the food was excellent. Dined out in 3 other places too and the food was spectacular. Dungarvan is a lovely town and plenty to keep kids entertained from playground, to beaches, pools and Greenway.

29/07/2025: Far too expensive for what you get. Rooms are more like 3* standard, Wi-Fi is very poor, breakfast is "just okay," and the parking lot is usually overcrowded. The sauna is very small, at no more than 3 square meters.

02/10/2025: the most lovely cafe to stop and enjoy the view of the shannon. the big menu has loads to offer no matter what you are looking for. team and great, friendly and make the spend worth it...big portions

01/12/2025: September 2025 Coziest pub in Ireland that we stumbled upon on our bike tour. The owner was amazing and let us pitch our tent in a field nearby for the night. Can also recommend the café in the same building.

23/02/2026: We went into this pub somewhat by process of elimination on a Friday afternoon. We wanted to eat something after a tiring day of walking around Dublin. A typical Dublin pub, but it seemed less touristy than the ones in Temple Bar. In fact, the vast majority of the clientele didn't appear to be tourists. It was dark, with low ceilings and full of small tables around a large bar. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. We ordered a pint of Guinness and another of a lager called Doyles (which I imagine is their own). For food, we had an Irish beef burger and fish and chips, and both were really good. A place away from the tourist crowds of Temple Bar, with a good atmosphere and good food.

19/11/2025: This place is an amazing hidden gem. We booked online and really had no idea what we were walking into . We flew in on A Tuesday from the states and we're very pleased with everything. Tish, Trish, and Mags were all very accommodating and extremely helpful with anything at all we needed. The owner was very nice as well. We had a great time at the session down stairs and met new friends there. Loved this place!!!! We stayed a week!!!

13/10/2025: Excellent service and Murphys. Came to watch the Wales game, which they initially didn't have on. But the legend behind the bar took the time to edit the settings in order to stream BBC Wales for me. Good friendly atmosphere, highly recommended 👌

28/11/2025: I had a cesar wrap which was full and very tasty, served with about 8 crisps and tea. My friend had soup which was lovely and hot but a fresh chip, very obvious on a pink bowl..this is NOT ok. We said nothing as didn't see it until nearly finished our food. Staff lovely and not intrusive.

05/10/2025: This is a gem of a place, little tricky to get to, but worth it . Attentive friendly staff, well presented and tasty food along with a lovely atmosphere . The pancakes are amazing and they have a great deal on toasties . We will visit again!
