19/07/2024: We get pizza therapy every Friday and it’s amazing. The pizza itself is so so good (BBQ chicken is a fav) and the lady on phone is always so friendly and pleasant.
Amazing service and food. Well worth trying it you have not.

The breakdown as follows -
Service - is excellent and so accommodating, we wanted less cheese more sauce and that was no issue at all! We weren’t left waiting ages and the seating was very convenient. Pricing was very fair, it’s a great pizza for a great price and probably the cheapest therapy you’ll get 😂 The pizza dough is second to none, so light and fluffy ! You don’t feel all slumpy afterward which was a nice surprise. The sauce was delicious, cheese was deadly and the ratio was on point.

31/07/2025: Nice bakery, we had quiche and two little chocolate cakes which were really good. Unfortunately the sausage rolls were disappointing, the pastry was excellent, but the sausage meat was just processed pink stuff. They just visit Hugo’s in Lahinch for a real sausage roll.

Only can but cruffins from Wednesday to Sunday tho. Sooo yummy 😋😋😋

09/10/2025: My daughter and I stayed in their AirBnB next door and enjoyed visiting with the locals at the bar. The hosts are delightful. It was the best evening of our visit to Ireland. We felt totally at home.

15/06/2025: I brought my father back to the hideout after a long absence due to illness recently - I am still coming to terms with the welcome he received - the staff in the hideout are now my number one for kindness, attentiveness and generosity! It’s nice to know that in these cynical times we can still treat each other with such decency - your welcome made a huge difference to my mom and dad and to me! well done Hideout and all your team - my favourite place to eat out in Kildare from now on! (The food, as always, was delicious!)

Healthy option...Fresh Ginger Granola with banana fruit smoothie shot. Delicious.
Black Forest Pancake Stack with Chocolate Sauce. For the sweet tongue.
Chorizo & Cherry Tomato with Eggs Benedict.
Highly recommended. Excellent flavouring.
Cheddar & Scallion Potato Cakes.
A full breakfast. Potato cakes and streaky bacon. What a start to the day.

As a muslim always concerned about vegan options and no meat stuff
The lady SHERON was so nice and answered all my questions regarding if no animal
Oil used or do u use the same pan for bacon and other stuff
She was kind enough to answer my questions and even suggested us a vegetarian food option and even told us what to order and how much
Because of her we had a great time
Enjoyed the food 🥰
Not enough options for muslim friendly though but what they have is good enough
2ndly didnt get the chance to have bakery items
But Im sure they must have no alcohol and gelatine free stuff too

Fantastic location literally on the beach, food here is absolutely delicious, dined here lately and I have never had such delicious tasty food and I'm fussy about food! I'm a vegetarian and the vegetarian dish was fantastic, the food was so good I didn't want my meal to be over.
Super comfy beds and spotlessly clean.
Always a great welcome here, lovely staff.
Gillian is a pure gem,so friendly, helpful and kind.
Thanks to everyone at the Smugglers Inn.
12/10/2025: Fantastic food. Amazing service and views ro die for. Our fish was cooked to perfection and the flavours were fresh and delicious.
