The best restaurants

20/10/2025: We are locals. I wanted to bring our visitors from Madrid here for lunch on a rainy Saturday. They are foodies and I had explained that Savoir Fare is probably the best lunch spot in town and was recently recommended in The Irish Times. We arrived just before 12 noon and I was pleased to see empty tables because they don’t take reservations. I was told very bluntly “I cannot serve you”, because we were a group of 6. I asked if we could divide into 2 tables of 3 which were set for lunch and unoccupied. I was told “I will not split the group. I cannot serve you”. The way he said it was rude. The other diners were all watching. So we left. I stood outside on the pavement in the drizzle, super embarrassed in front of our visitors. Bruised, we walked up to The Clockhouse Cafe and after a short wait, we were seated. Not the same offering at all, but we were welcomed, and served with a smile.

20/07/2025: Delicious, beautifully prepared, locally sourced food with French flair. Savoir Fare is exceptional and not to be missed, a real treat. Alain and his team are lovely hosts with a really deep knowledge of food that shines through in the scrumptious food served up.

12/07/2025: Food was good but a bit too sweet for my liking. The service was fast and otherwise very pleasant

23/11/2024: The reason it got 4 stars is the premise was cold on arrival at 6pm ( it doesn’t open at 17:30 as stated on trip adviser ) I had the Chicken supreme and better half had the fish and chips. Have to say very tasty. We were served by Anastasia who was very polite, moving us to a warmer position etc. I recommend Nivana, but leave to a bit later if weather is cold

31/07/2025: Overpriced ( its everywhere in Ireland but this is jaw dropping), overcooked ( burnt bacon on the Eggs Benedict which could have been forgiven except next table also complained) and very slow service in that not all parties received their food at the same time. Wont be returning.

07/09/2025: Amazing staff, as a disabled person I needed to use the bathroom. The member of staff approached me and asked if I was ok, I showed him my disability card and immediately he escorted me to a private spotless bathroom. I cannot praise this member off staff enough and was so satisfied I stayed in this lovely pub and would recommend it and their caring staff. If you own this public house, you should be very proud off your employees and have recruited some first class people. Thank you so much and for people looking to visit Limerick, go and feel looked after.

04/09/2025: Pub in old Buncrana railway station a bit outside the town centre Nice bar area inside , Bar built from a old boat and roof timbers like a upturned keel of a ship ,Real fire nice and cosy Pizza only and then only weekends Some reviews say it’s dog friendly but bar staff said dogs not allowed in bar only in outside area

30/08/2025: Nice old converted railway ticket station bar. Large outdoor seating area. Even though next to seafront, no views. Great DJ knocking out the 80’s hits!

18/08/2025: Love the coffee and the bits you can get for breakfast. I wish there was a more efficient queuing system for when youre grabbing a coffee to go in the mornings

05/08/2025: A good selection of small meals to take away or eat in. Limited space and sometimes a bit of a wait.

29/08/2025: Here is another popular café, very well known by the people of Cork for its food that will make you take your hat off even when drinking a simple espresso. Café Gusto opened here and here it was better to have a small, crowded room than a large, empty one. Here people come and go all day long. It closes around 6:00 p.m. Cafés of this quality deserve the best. We are very grateful for the wonderful service and charming friendliness. Thank you very much.

09/09/2025: Many great aspects to this restaurant but more awareness of customer requirements required. Remember the customer pays for service.

07/09/2025: The conservatory was a nice spot to meet for coffee or lunch. They have a sensory cubbie for neurodivergent kids which I thought was a lovely idea.

20/10/2025: Food was delicious, couldnt have asked for a better steak.

14/10/2025: Had a lovely family meal, a meat platter, and it was delicious. Service was great and very friendly to the kids. Great spot. And has a pool table 👍

13/10/2025: Food was ok at best. Not a big fan.. Had to fight off the small gnats for my dinner.

19/09/2025: Great Cup of coffee probably my favourite in town. Only had the breakfast but very good and alway hot. Comfortable seating. Great parking and the staff are lovely.

10/08/2025: Best restaurant in gorey the food it is always fresh and tasty.The staff are really nice .Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.We order take away from it when we visit Gorey and have a meal in it too.Prices are great and portions are very generous too.

28/07/2025: While on holidays in Gorey we noticed this restaurant and decided to go on the last night. This was the best decision the food was outstanding and that was agreed by a fussy eater. Food came out hot brought kids meals out with starters, never rushed the taste was so good. The staff were friendly and kind to the kids especially. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend.
