The best restaurants

31/01/2026: I didn't stay at the hotel; we went to the gardens for €9.50, which I think is a rip-off. There are much cheaper or even free places in Ireland that are far more worthwhile. It looks like Jurassic Park after the dinosaurs have escaped. Completely neglected; if it were better maintained, it would be much more worthwhile. And it's a maze; we got lost several times. Best regards

07/12/2025: Had another fantastic stay , from start to finish it was luxurious, the comfort and warmth of this place will not be matched , the food again was just amazing , couldn’t recommend this place enough , this place operates on high standards for everything they do , top class . Looking forward to another start again soon

24/02/2026: Fine big bar plenty of tvs to watch a match, we were in for a carvery & it was very tasty I had the Chicken supreme herself had to beef, it was delicious, lovely big portion too, would highly recommend, we definitely will be back

31/01/2026: Ordered from here Friday evening. Unfortunately the sweet and sour chicken wasn’t good. The chicken had a tough, stringy texture and the sauce tasted flat and overly sweet. Won’t be ordering again.

28/01/2026: I am eating from here since 2019 and every time it’s so tasty and fresh, maybe this is the 3rd time give a 5 star in last 7 year, the food is outstanding and so yummy……never had a bad meal here well done.

18/10/2025: Had a great first time experience here, lovely little spot, the food (I had the full Irish) was excellent, perfectly cooked. Service staff were working hard but very attentive. I also had the apple pie - just do that :) They have tables availible in the main pub if you see it full, so just ask. Highly recommend this place for great atmosphere, tasty food and great staff, this is how it should be done. Be aware there are limited Gluten free options.

22/07/2025: Nice spot for quick pint in the beer garden with the dogs Was confirmed couldn't sit inside with the dogs, no issue, but as we left we noticed another dog that arrived at same time was still sat inside - must have been a local so different rules apply.

30/01/2026: The food here is great - very reasonably priced and very generous portion sizes. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. There's a good buzz about the place, particularly on match days, but it doesn't have that typical "bar vibe" in the dining area. It's a great spot to go for a meal and for a few drinks afterwards. 4/5, one point docked due to the meat-centred menu, and for the wheelchair inaccessiblity. Otherwise, it can't be faulted.

15/02/2026: I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mason’s Apron. I usually get all our birthday cakes from here, and they have never disappointed—but this time they truly went above and beyond. For my son’s first birthday, we ordered a Boss Baby–themed cake, complete with smooth icing sugar and a beautiful edible picture on top, and it was absolutely perfect. The cake looked stunning, but what really impressed us was the taste. I had mentioned to the staff that our family needs to be careful with sugar due to diabetes, and they were so understanding and accommodating. The sweetness was perfectly balanced—not too sweet at all—yet still incredibly delicious. Every bite was soft, fresh, and full of flavor without being overwhelming. You can truly taste the care and skill that went into making this cake. Hats off to the amazing staff and an even bigger hats off to the baker! Since this was the first time they made this particular style of cake, the fact that it turned out this flawless is even more impressive. The price was very reasonable, the service was excellent, and the final result exceeded all expectations. We’ve just finished the cake, and everyone loved it. Mason’s Apron once again made a special occasion even more special. Highly, highly recommended—I’ll definitely continue getting all our celebration cakes from here! 🎂✨

19/12/2025: Beautiful hampers with beautiful handmade food, jams and treats etc for Christmas. My 2nd year which is just as delicious and stunning as before. Thanks for making my Christmas extra special again x

30/08/2025: Over from London for a few days, myself and some of the cousins had a great night here. There was a good band playing, the Guinness was top quality, and I got to practice my Gaelic with the charming bar-staff. Can't wait to go back next time I'm over

Had a great pint of Guinness Zero and the hunger pangs were satisfied by exceptionally tasty chicken goujans and a delish taco with a dribble of chilli sauce. Absolutely amazing gem if a olive with so much history and deserves a visit anytime of the day. Buddy and I are indebted to your hospitality. Great outdoor seating too. Excellent VFM. 04/10/2025: Mahers Pure Coffee is a lovely cafe in the middle of the city. We came in to purchase coffee and equipment. They havewide selection of items for making coffee. They have a lovely coffee selection as well. We bought their hazelnut coffee, which is super popular. The team was friendly enough... The smell of coffee is very nice. I could stay there for a good while. It is downtown and central. They are wheelchair accessible. There is wheelchair accessible parking nearby.

18/01/2026: Lovely place, the roast was great so were the other dishes we had, the steak sandwich was insane as well, and the desserts were all amazing, the cheesecake specially. The staff is super friendly and the service quite quick.

17/01/2026: We stopped here for lunch. Excellent roast and breaded chicken breast. Lovely atmosphere and excellent service bron the staff. Open fire, so warm and welcoming.

22/02/2026: Consistently amazing food! I love their duck and appreciate the quality and serving size for the price. Easy spot for quick and delicious meals—whenever I’m tempted to get fast food, I remember that this costs pretty much the same as Burger King (completely different I know) for better value. Bonus for the heart shaped eggs!

11/11/2025: I used to eat there up to 3times a week... however, it changed when they served me an old potato salad... which I got intoxicated from it... left the restaurant straight to the toilet... and the worst was the face of the girl when I was saying that I got intoxicated by the old poteto salad... Never again!

02/01/2026: This place is a hidden gem, Cafe is spotless staff so friendly they couldn’t do enough for you, portion size are massive such great value. I had the fish and chip it’s was probably the best fish and chips I've ever had. Well done mr Chippy it’s great to see places like this still exist
