16/03/2026: Celebrated my Dads 80th birthday here Saturday evening. 19 adults and 2 children. Had a fantastic time here. The food and service was excellent. Had a set menu and they made a gorgeous birthday cake, so delicious. Thanks to Kasia and her team for everything. Will definitely be returning for lunch and dinner soon.

05/05/2026: Overpriced. I ordered the nigiri omakase for dinner and it was 33€ and only 7 pieces!!! They didn't disclose that on the menu. Not even a miso soup complimentary. It was definitely not enough, and for 33€ I expect at least to be full. The quality of the sushi was ok by Western standards but below average by Japanese standards. The Burger King across the street had double cheeseburgers for 3.5€ and I guess you could buy 10 of those for 7 pieces of sushi here. Would not come back here.

03/04/2026: Wow, wow, wow! A fantastic discovery. A must stop if you are a sushi fan and visit Dublin. The staff's attention is excellent, above 10! Friendly, attentive, nice. He welcomed us with a hot tea. We ordered a second round of food and he gave us two more tempura prawns, since there were 5 of us and the reactions are three units. The food is of excellent quality and made with love. We highly recommend it, so hopefully we can come back soon. Thank you very much for everything! :)

16/05/2026: I would give this place minus stars if I could. Would not recommend. Myself and my girlfriend were denied entry because the bouncer claimed “she’s too drunk” — despite the fact we had literally just come from dinner and were absolutely fine. To make it even more ridiculous, we came back about 20 minutes later and got in with no issue at all, which completely proves there was never a problem in the first place. Then later that evening, as we were leaving, one of the bouncers said to us “How the …. did you get in? Ye chancer.” Absolutely terrible behavior from someone whose job is meant to be maintaining safety and professionalism. Instead of targeting normal customers for no reason and acting like a bully, maybe focus on the people who are actually causing problems. Completely unnecessary attitude, arrogance, and abuse of what little authority they think they have. Won’t be returning.

08/05/2026: Excellent bar in the heart of Dublin. Fabulous surroundings & great atmosphere.

14/06/2026: Only stopped at the bar for drinks, but what a lovely place! My alcohol-free beverage (called 'Red & Green') was amazing - so very, very tasty. Hubby had a Guinness, of course, even at 10:30am. Our bartender was friendly and attentive, and continued prepping for the day seamlessly. We hope to go back for a meal before heading home to the States. Edit: we did indeed go back for dinner, and it was heavenly! I had gnocchietti in a very light, very flavorful red sauce and my husband had the pan-fried sea Bream. We shared an amazing starter of cucumber & cantaloupe strips with red currants & a yummy vinaigrette. Service again was superb. Definitely a place to keep in mind!

15/02/2026: I didn't know this place existed in the Dean, nice atmosphere, nice layout, staff were friendly and efficient, a nice selection of food. Pricey, but normal for dublin. It lost marks for me as myself and my friend ordered 2 jameson and ginger ale. The whiskey was definitely watered down, I could barely taste the whiskey. This was the same with both of them. My other friends ordered cocktails and there was more ice than anything. So, food was great, drinks not so great, probably won't go there again because of this or if i do I will order beer.

18/05/2026: I went based on the good reviews. I must have caught them on a bad night. I wanted jamon more than anything. I ordered a small meat/cheese board, only to learn that they were out my meat, which seems ludicrous for a Spanish tapas restaurant. I also ordered piquillo peppers stuffed with monkish. They were very tasty, but for the price, I expected a bit more food. The service was very pleasant. I was asked to pay in cash. Credit card machine down…? Overall, not great value for money. I chose not to order more, because portions were small. Left hungry.

14/08/2025: Bardons has the nicest food in Kilcullen 10 times nicer than the hideout! Great service even nicer food I’ve been to bandons plenty of times have tried most things on the menu and never been disappointed! The beef is my favourite but there’s plenty of options for everybody ! 10/10 would recommend

13/07/2025: The food…..was the nicest food I’ve had in a long time unreal experience fast service lovely staff I had the Mexican chicken burger omg unreal big portions aswell the steak sandwich could feed two people and the chips where chips can’t complain lovely atmosphere we only went for food we didn’t stay there but the pub was lovely the price is fair for what you getting

18/03/2025: Visited the establishment on St. Patrick's Day. Live music, friendly and welcoming visitors. Had a great time. The staff is polite and welcoming. And by the way, this is my favorite place to relax. It's very cozy there.

13/06/2026: It was my first time in Vanilla Pod restaurant, and I can say it was a wonderful experience, not only because of the great service, but the food was delicious 😋. It is difficult to describe how good it was. I order 3 course meals, but it is charged separately, I mean, for the dinner there is no option to choose 2 or 3 course as you can find it on the early bird menu. Although there is not a option, I strongly recommend the dinner in Vanilla Pod restaurant! Team are friendly (congratulations Caroline! Sorry I don't remember all the staff's names!). Only the atmosphere was loudly, maybe because there were 3 celebrations at the same time. Anyway, I will come back, definitely! Special because I couldn't try the Pork in the main menu (they served all the portions at the time I got in the restaurant). Congratulations, guys for good quality and good service!

09/05/2026: Had the vegan bolognese and vegan pistachio pesto, both were fantastic, pesto was the standout. Vegan garlic bread also delicious. Nice cosy vibe and quick service. Highly recommend!!
