08/08/2025: Nice informal cafe, good food and pleasant staff - and plenty of parking.

01/11/2025: The hotel is beautiful and well-located, right next to the seafront promenade. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is very friendly, especially several of the Spanish employees. The facilities are excellent, with a swimming pool, gym, etc. The only downside was the strong smell of food in the lobby and surrounding areas, which was quite unpleasant and made clothes smell.

30/09/2025: Nice older hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Would definitely stay here again in Dublin.

26/10/2025: We decided to have a take away and return to the hotel. By the time we returned, the fish was still crisp and golden, the batter light, the chips thick and fluffy. Simple pleasures, impeccably done.

26/10/2025: Epic gluten free chipper onion rings and scampi. I mean epic.

27/10/2025: Evening Food was beautiful!! Staff was amazing, so kind and professional. Rooms are okay, I’ve seen cleaner and we weren’t to pushed on the breakfast.

26/10/2025: A well located hotel, easy walking distance to the sites of Dublin My room was large and very well appointed. Good facilities to work Cam with coffee making equipment and a fridge The bathroom is good All in all a very good choice

21/09/2025: We had breakfast here while we waited to go on the historical tour of the cemetery. The food is reasonably-priced and cooked to order. I do like that they allow you to choose between 3-5 options for the Irish breakfast. It's worth a stop if you are in the area for the prices alone!

23/10/2025: I haven't been to Brady's since around 2019. However, I'm still writing a review for this place in 2024. Why? They have the best chicken wings I’ve ever eaten! I can't tell you in words how surreal the first night I had these chicken wings was. It was a late night in Ireland, my first time ever being in the country, and outside of the U.S. ever. Me and my family were staying in the area, and had seen good reviews so we decided to stop here after a long day of traveling. I was in a chicken mood for majority of the trip, so every restaurant we’d stopped at I decided to try their wings and see how they held up. The wings here were so much more than I’d been expecting. They were sweet and spicy, however they weren't overpowering and were just enough for me to finish all of them. The wings themselves were so fresh and crunchy as well! It may sound overexaggerated, but I really would fly all the way back to Ireland just to try them again. I’d also ordered some crispy duck as an entrée and it was delicious! So flavorful. As we were leaving, we also spent quite a while talking to our sweet waitress. This restaurant not only has great food, but great atmosphere as well. I encourage everyone in the area to try this restaurant if they already haven’t!

12/10/2025: Had a meal & drinks with friends on Saturday eve. Food was very poor (I ordered the Classic Burger, which was very nice in fairness), my Wife had the Sea Bream from the Specials list and it was really poor. The fish was tasteless, potatoes were oily and very poorly presented, 1/10. My Friend had the Teriaki Chicken, which was truly awful. The chicken was a breaded thin fillet cut into strips (Chicken schnitzel was also on the menu) and some teriaki sauce from a bottle drizzled over it. The rice was in a block, congealed under a warm light, likely for a long time. It was so bad. Service was very good & the lounge staff very friendly and professional. At the end of the night, any punter left in the pub (10 mins after last orders), were very rudely instructed to leave the premises. We might drop back for a pint at some stage, definitely will not spend the evening there and 100% will never purchase food from here again. Disappointing as we've always had a good experience in Bradys, but this was poor form.

11/05/2025: Website is a little confusing as it lists only their Letterkenny location (and they’re a mobile truck, I could have imagined they don’t stay in one place!). I was able to find them just fine in Donegal though

03/08/2025: We are writing this review on the Celtic Nights show and entertainment night not the hotel: So we attended 2nd of august 6:30pm show. The venue its self is medium sized venue so many of the times you are placed on tables amongs other people as they are trying to get as many people as possible so long tables with groups are 4-12 people sitting opposite each other. The venue is set up lovely candle lit the atmosphere straight away is nice. However we was placed on a table with us however with one of us having disabilities and severe allergies it was not safe or comfortable for us to sit amongst large groups we explained this to the staff and they kindly and happily changed our seating. Again as mentioned one of us had significant life threatening allergies and when explained on the phone when booking we was told that this can be accommodated. This was tried to be met as much as possible however it meant to had that one of us had to have watermelon started and that starter missing items as they wasn’t safe and we was informed we could have the potates without the allergen in question to make up for it (however at the end we was charged). However they explained they could have a main meal and allergen can be met and it was the main meal was lovely. Dessert was slightly worse as we was ill informed that there allergy free options for desserts however again just given a bowl of watermelon. So slightly disappointed as we did pay for the 3 course meal and it couldn’t be accomplished despite being told a few times it could be. HOWEVER granted with the food if you dont have allergies you will be absolutely fine as one of us didn’t have allergies and loved the food. The show its self was entertaining and enjoyable. The music was lovely! The main gentleman was charismatic, very funny and charming funny and got the crowd engaged. If you are looking for a irish themed night as we was then we would recommend as we have come from England, London and not in Dublin for long so wanted to experience the traditional irish dancing, food and music and this was definitely met. In an overall review i would definitely recommend if you want a sweet, cosy irish themed night out. However please understand the environment is extremely busy and there are definitely more people than staff and they are working quite hard and running around so ordering drinks at time was difficult and slow one gentleman we ordered drinks didn’t even get our drinks so we had to reorder after waiting and releasing it wasn’t coming. However we understood as we could really see how busy they were. Again we highly recommend and had a lovely night and thank you for 1 accommodating the disability needs and trying your best to meet the allergy needs despite understanding it was so difficult each meal was double checked and insured it was safe and no reactions happened so overall lovely experience.

02/08/2025: Absolutely loved thud hotel. From the road, you'd never fired what is behind the doors of this wonderful place. Home of "Celtuc Nights" show and a fantastic restaurant that opens up to the street. Beautiful and Quaint with Love music every night. Great food and service.

15/07/2025: While I enjoyed the evening spent here, I’d put a lot of that on the member of staff that looked after us. The food was good and the service was friendly throughout. Given our party size we ended up being seated outside and the weather made this quite pleasant , however as the sun started to set it was obvious that given Dublins normal weather schedule of rain, the focus hadn’t been on making the outside area as special as the inside. The setting is lovely with large trees and garden to look over but there was no fairy lights in the parasol, very little lighting at all in fact. No outdoor gas fires (unless the large black ash tray is normally a fire), no attention to detail that you’d expect from a fairmont (see fairmont whistler for the perfect example of an outdoor space done right). Tables weren’t prioritised over the inside so dirty glassware were left way longer than should have been. Out of the extensive wine list only 2 and eventually zero wines were left despite the women’s open being over a week ago so a restock should have been done. There was also a hair in one of my parties dish that was just brushed off and one of our drinks came with crud on the glass so somethings slipping abit somewhere. Nevertheless, enjoyed my evening here but expected more from a fairmont restaurant.

24/09/2025: Great atmosphere pity about the staff, left standing at the bar for nearly half hour to get served(which i can accept it was very busy)but to be told after standing there that long and being ignored a staff member finally came over to me and said that the part of the bar i was standing was only for getting food only i wont be getting served a drink even though other people were served drinks there before me . Absolutely ridiculous if its food only Ive no problem with that but don’t leave me standing there that long like an idiot and pick and choose who you want to serve drinks, always go in before and after a gig in vicar street safe to say i wont be back. A month since email been sent and still haven’t bothered to reply…….shocking Emails been sent on 1st of march aidan and you still haven’t bothered to reply to it to resolve situation Over 5 months now Still haven’t bothered replying to the requested email I’m curious have they ever bothered their hole to email anyone back ???

22/08/2025: Bowling Buddies near Manor west in Tralee, nice place to take the kids for a few hours, there is 10 lanes and a small arcade, the price is what you would expect for bowling and arcade game are €2 a game so can get expensive if you have a couple kids with you, staff are nice and friendly,

26/07/2025: We had a birthday party there today and the staff and venue were top class as always. We go there often for family days out and always enjoy it. A special mention to Evie and Maggie for all their wonderful help from organising to loking after us so amazingly. Looking forward to our day out already
