The best restaurants

19/05/2025: Super good, one of the best places to eat on our trip. The service was incredible, attentive, fast, friendly, and correct. I also want to highlight the prices, better than in Dublin, with typical Irish food, both in quantity and quality. The downstairs is a small supermarket with takeout, and upstairs is the restaurant, a cozy and charming place.

20/04/2025: Grocery store with caterer/sandwich and pastries upstairs, very welcoming and cozy atmosphere

11/01/2026: Went for tapas on Christmas work night out. Gorgeous

07/01/2026: The place is okay. We paid €200 a night for 2 people, which is a lot, but understand, given there was a wedding and Country Arms Birr was fully booked, and it was NYE. Still, it was quite a shocking price—but then again, Ireland. It's expensive for what it is, but that's the nature of supply and demand, as they say. We stayed in the front room, and the traffic noise was really bad. Worse than that, the heating in the room was off, and we couldn’t find anyone to help us, so there was no solution, and it was freezing. We woke up with the heat on in the morning. It also has a breakfast with it, Irish fry up. It's okay.

24/03/2026: Location is good. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Clean room. Breakfast was great. Helpful staff. I would stay again.

11/03/2026: Hands down the worst pizza I have ever had. It was just slapped together and served to us. 3 ppl ordered the pepperoni extravaganza land 2/3 got pepperoni on their pizza like you would expect. I had 110 total pepperoni on a 12 inch pizza. It’s sad. I paid more than they did and got less of a “pizza” than they did. I took pictures to show the difference between them and me. It sucks because it wasn’t even good so we just left it as is and got out of there as soon as we could. Don’t go here if you want quality pizza. This place isn’t for you

19/02/2026: For a cheap meal this place was fine. I would go here again as the pizza was cooked perfectly with minimal burning. Most places that use this method burning the pizza but the chef here takes care. Thanks for the meal 😋

22/03/2026: Big thanks to the Manager for arranging a table for us at short notice. We needed a table for 6 people for an unexpected family celebration. Although it was a busy Saturday evening the Manager arranged a very suitable table. The food here has always been very good & at a very reasonable price. The staff are super helpful & courteous. Nice to have your custom appreciated nowadays. Highly recommend Brady’s .

16/03/2026: A really nice pub, perfect for hanging out with friends and watching the game. Nicely decorated, friendly and helpful staff. The outdoor area is also very pleasant, and the heating is great. Recommended! ⚽🍻

15/03/2026: Love my local restaurant where you can enjoy a very good meal at a reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and attentive. However I would not say that this is the most romantic or intimate place to eat. But for going out for a nice meal with friends or your date it's great. I would reccomend this restaurant for a good meal and night out ..

06/01/2026: Food 10/10 I ordered buffalo wings, they were perfect not too spicy and not too sweet. The chips were really nice, soft and tasty. My partner got a spice box, was very well done and tasty aswell Service 10/10 Staff are extremely friendly, and helpful I have a load of allergies but they guided me through the menu like nothing, We will definitely be back.

04/11/2025: A quaint little coffee shop that brings a bit of Brazilian culture to Carlow. The hours are insanely handy for students travelling to school and the owners are amazing! I recommend you try the coxinhas!

31/12/2025: We stopped off en route to further north. Very efficient and friendly service from all the staff. And we all enjoyed our food. Macaroons were delicious also. We'll be back.

07/02/2026: We stayed the night in the townhouse and had our main and breakfast included. All in a great one night getaway in a luxurious well appointed room and wonderful food and atmosphere for the meal

04/01/2026: I ordered mussels for starters, whist they were good, I was well gone through them when the dish arrived for shells another dish with the water n lemon juice but nothing to dry your hands. Desert was nothing to boast about. .The cost was overpriced and I will not return.

06/03/2026: Food was great as always second time visititing here and have to say the staff are brilliant and the food is amazing. I totally love this place when passing. Have yet to be disappointed but I give it a 9/10
