31/03/2026: We drank here during our stay in enniscrone the staff are so friendly and professional the atmosphere was fantastic and we got to watch ireland playing.

31/05/2026: We had a fantastic dining experience here. We started with the goat cheese bruschetta, which was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. For the main course, I had the Carbonara pizza, and it was one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time – perfectly cooked with amazing flavour. My partner chose the Buddha Bowl salad, which was fresh, colourful, and full of flavour. The food quality, presentation, and atmosphere were all excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a welcoming atmosphere. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

24/03/2026: I honestly don’t mind making the trip from Kilkenny to Freshford just for this kebab — that’s how good it is. There are plenty of chippers and kebab spots in Kilkenny, and I’m not saying they’re bad at all, but none of them come close to this one. The place itself is nothing fancy, very simple and unassuming, but the food is absolutely on another level. The kebab is consistently fresh, full of flavor, and just hits the spot every single time. If you’re anywhere nearby, it’s 100% worth the drive.

19/12/2025: I've been here for a work night out. They have a great selection of cocktails. The Shak has great pizzas. Atmosphere was very lively and relaxingat the same time. Great outdoor area.

31/05/2026: Very disappointed with our breakfast experience at the Carriage House at Adare Manor. My girlfriend and I visited for breakfast and, given the reputation of Adare Manor and the price point, we expected a much higher standard of service. Unfortunately, the experience fell well short of expectations. My girlfriend ordered porridge, and I asked if it could be served with strawberries, blueberries, banana, and honey. We were told this wasn’t possible because the porridge was made in one large batch. However, when the porridge arrived, it was simply plain porridge with a few blueberries on top. The advertised compote was missing, there was no honey, and no spoon was provided. After asking for these items, we waited another 5–10 minutes before a spoon arrived, by which time the porridge had gone cold. We also ordered the Carriage House Fry and requested white toast for the table. The toast didn’t arrive until nearly 30 minutes into our breakfast. Nobody asked how we would like it prepared, and when it finally arrived, some slices were burnt while others were undercooked. The overall service felt inattentive and disorganised throughout. For a breakfast that cost €54, we expected much better attention to detail and customer service. To make matters worse, when the bill was presented, we had no intention of leaving a tip due to the poor experience. When we selected “no tip” on the card machine, the staff member’s reaction suggested dissatisfaction, which made for an uncomfortable end to an already disappointing meal. Given the reputation and pricing of Adare Manor, this experience was extremely underwhelming. We hope management takes this feedback on board and improves the standard of service.

29/05/2026: My husband and I reserved a table here for two for our anniversary. It was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL restaurant, with several options for main dishes, sides and drinks. We didn’t stay at the manor, but we did have a special dessert provided since we listed that it was our anniversary on the reservation. I ordered halibut and my husband ordered the steak filet, which was more brown than he usually eats but it was flavorful and moist. They had a good list of non-alcoholic drinks as well as alcohol. We also got to wonder the grounds following dinner, and they are beautiful. My advice is to make a reservation specifically if you are eating at or after 6:30 PM.

24/12/2025: Good climbing facilities and a decent variety of routes. Staff are helpful, but the place can get crowded, making it less enjoyable during peak hours. Overall, an okay experience.

27/07/2025: Found this bar on a trip up the River Shannon. We decided to go up the River Suck randomly and check out the town for the night. John was an amazing host, great bar and a beautiful town. Highly recommend a visit!

10/05/2026: We happened upon it by chance, and ate a real Italian pizza! Excellent!

02/05/2026: Pizzas here are amazing, lots of choice and all cooked to order. Only complaint about the food is that the focaccia starter doesn’t seemed to actually be starter, just a pizza dough with cheese. Service was lovely but it was very cold in the restaurant!

16/06/2025: Trying somewhere new, got a matcha and banana bread. Matcha was not good, very bitsy and disappointing. Banana bread was quite dry but flavour was grand! Didn’t try the coffee but if you wanted matcha maybe try somewhere else unfortunately.
