The best restaurants

20/01/2026: Great location for staying in Galway. Large size rooms for friend groups wanting to stay in triple rooms. Bar food is lovely and staff are very friendly I contacted Central reservations via email about the number of beds in each room. I required an extra pull out bed in 2 rooms. They were very clinical in their answers and I felt that I was a hindrance rather then a valued customer. When I asked to book an additional room instead they said there was now a 2 night minimum stay due to an event on and they could not help me. A few days before my stay I rang reception directly and spoke to Oonagh. She was extremely helpful and was very nice. She said the extra cot bed was no bother at all and could accommodate our needs. Even asked the background as to why 8 women were going away together. Very attentive to her job. Just out of curiosity I checked again about booking another room and it was available as obviously the hotel has not sold out like the staff in central reservations had suggested.

08/01/2026: Excellent location, beside Latin Quarter, overlooking the water, stroll to Eyre Square, shops and Public transportation. Lovely breakfast. Highly Recommend.

18/10/2025: We stopped here for a nice Guinness in a unique pub atmosphere. The pub was lovingly decorated, with lovely little seating areas and an atmosphere reminiscent of the good old days. The parlor door was also a highlight, and the fireplace in the far corner made the pint taste twice as good.

13/12/2025: Stopped here without knowing what to expect. We found and amazing atmosphere, with friendly and fast service. Good was great, generous portions and great selection. Strongly recommend 👌

08/02/2026: We arrived and asked for breakfast but we were told they had finished serving breakfast and we would have to eat from the lunch menu. We choose two meals from the lunch menu and waited. While waiting a large group of people came in and they were all served the breakfast. We continued to wait and eventually the manager came over and apologised for the delay. Our meals were eventually served and boy they were most certainly not worth waiting for. My meat was just warm the veg was shocking couldn't believe we were served frozen veg from a bag. No fresh veg here. The chips we ordered was the only thing that was ok. No fault to the manager he was ever so polite but the food was shocking.

12/03/2026: Nandos is One of my favorite spots to have grilled chicken. And Nandos in Santry Omni Shopping Centre is absolutely great place... Very nice staff and lovely ambience makes this place more cool. It's very spacious and lovely arrangements that makes it feel so comfortable...❤️

08/02/2026: Food well presented but the taste was a let down. Sent back a dish because it was bland. Steak came out was mostly fat. Food was out within 10 minutes of sitting down which is always a bad sign.

06/12/2025: Great location, good food. Sadly the customer service is shocking. You could wait for ever for to order. Best to go to the counter after a 5-10 min wait for the menu. It’s not easy to order extra coffee or tea as the staff do not make eye contact, disappear and fail to check back with you. There are better places to visit in Galway. Hopefully the customer service will improve over time.

09/02/2026: Tried all the pubs in the village but always settle on a favourite. Great atmosphere with locals but mostly tourist visitors. All the pubs dog friendly and felt very relaxed bringing in our dog. Excellent pints at reasonable price. Really enjoyed the music on Friday evening.

28/11/2025: Atmosphere excellent. Bar staff different story. When they try to belittle you to their friends and you overhear them when confronted just walked away. Years of going to this bar and treated with respect to this. Disappointing
