13/01/2025: Disappointing Experience – Bland Food, Overpriced, and Poor Service" We visited this restaurant with high hopes for a nice family meal, but unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. There were four of us, and we ordered a variety of dishes to get a good sense of what the menu had to offer. We started with the Goat's Cheese Mousse Salad, Pâté, Arancini Balls, and Chicken Salad. All were incredibly plain, overpriced, and lacked any real flavor. For starters, these dishes could have been served at any budget restaurant, but here they were marked up far beyond what they were worth. For the main course, we went with the Duck (€40), Lamb (€40), and Dover Sole. The Duck was dry, bland, and came with just a few baby carrots and flavorless potatoes. The Lamb was overcooked and equally tasteless. The Dover Sole was ok ,a bit dry and lacked any seasoning or richness. What really left us feeling deceived, however, was the price. We would have been disappointed with the food even at a lower price point, but when you’re paying €100 per person, it’s simply not acceptable. To make matters worse, the service was lacking—staff didn’t even bother to serve our wine, and our Calypso Coffee arrived cold. The only redeeming feature of the evening was the Margarita cocktail, which was actually quite nice. We will definitely not be returning. When you're paying premium prices, you expect premium food and service, and this restaurant failed to deliver on both. --

24/02/2025: Food is great, people are very helpful and friendly, relaxed atmosphere and nice music and decorations.

22/02/2025: I waited 20+ minutes for bubble tea, in the meantime the worker who served me kept completing orders of people who had ordered after me? I assume he’s new staff as someone else took over when they realised he was still making my drink after about 15 minutes. My drink tasted awful, I think this may be the first time I’ve ever thrown bubble tea in the bin. Also there was a bit of dirt floating in it… Would you consider hiring more staff or providing more training? I seen who I assume to be the supervisor/owner walking around unbothered so safe to say it wasn’t busy. Nonetheless, staff were polite & the food they were preparing looked & smelled delicious. We had planned to come here for food the next time we get up to Dublin but I’m very put off by this experience. Would it not be better for staff to wait until they have completed an order & let the waiting customer know they’ll be seen to in a couple minutes. Unless, of course you’re worried you’ll lose out on money when they don’t want to wait so long. I don’t write reviews and probably won’t ever again, sorry for being petty but 20 minutes for bubble tea is ridiculous.

03/03/2025: I have stayed here a lot since it opened and have always enjoyed my stay . But this weekend, I found that the shower pressure was very low. Is this an exercise in cost saving? If so, then it's very disappointing.

01/03/2025: I am editing this review because I had no response from the property managers of this hotel. I wanted to protect the manager because he ultimately gave me a key to MY room. lol. But he actually gave me a key to the entire hotel. I could have gone inti any room I wanted, which obviously I didn’t. I have a condition that requires emergency access to the bathroom. The hotel had a key system that didn’t work and refused to offer a refund. I had to wait for an employee to walk me to my room every time I went back which was humiliating. They also lied and told me that every hotel was having the same problem. Completely unacceptable.

16/02/2025: They have a nice selection of unusual and unique drinks and snacks, some from other parts of the world, as well as RedBull Winter Edition. Staff are super friendly, and I have heard it's an LGBT friendly space. I tried the pesto chicken toastie, and it was quite nice. Coffee was good too.

27/01/2025: Location, hot chocolate, food and service great, however: 1. One way to pee off regulars is to not be open at a day/time one would expect. I recently intended to meet someone there and she rang me to say it’s closed. 2. Scones served in rounded plates pasta/salad bowl type dishes, makes it very awkward for cutting/buttering etc, flat plate better. 3. Metal chairs not very comfortable.

10/06/2024: Popped in here the other day and was greeted by lively helpful staff. Roast pork was superb and generous serving. Husband lived his dish too. Got my arm twisted for dessert lol. Lovely clean toilets. What a gem of a place when you want something other than pub food. Go there

14/10/2024: Haven’t had a tastier chicken fillet roll ever complements to the chef.. it’s a pity there aren’t more busy.. cracking coffee .. I’ll call again

07/09/2024: The Irish breakfast is wrapped and closed in a kind of piadina. A quick and clean way to have breakfast. Staff as always very friendly. Room on the upper floor, the table was not very clean and the view of the shopping area is not the best. Good soy milk cappuccino.

12/01/2025: On entering reception, this hotel looked promising until you went to the rooms.For what they charged, I was not expecting to get a dated room shoved down the back of 3/4 corridors.If I was paying €90/100 I would have expected it but we were charged €135 and I could have stayed in the river court hotel for that.Compliments to the photographer on the room picture's,You fooled us.
