10/06/2026: The homemade vegetable soup is the best I have ever tasted. The staff are very friendly and there is a lovely atmosphere in the Cafe.

19/07/2026: Castleknock Hotel is one of my favourite places to come for dinner. The atmosphere is lovely, the seating area is beautiful, and it’s the only place where I never feel rushed to leave. I come here all the time but have never written a review before.Today, I was served by Leah, and the service was absolutely impeccable. She was so sweet, cheerful, and genuinely made my day so much better. She genuinely made our time so much better!

13/07/2026: Stunning hotel, feels very luxurious for a very decent price. We stayed for two nights on a trip to Dublin from the UK - we hired a car so it was easy to get to the hotel from the airport and from the hotel to the city. Our room was great and the included breakfast had lots of choice. We stayed during a heatwave and we really missed not having AC in the room, that would’ve made the stay much more comfortable. The hotel has a bar, restaurant, cafe and feels so spacious and clean. The staff were nice and things like room service etc were well managed. We used the pool area briefly on our first night, it was okay but in my opinion it could definitely do with some modernisation, updating and maintenance. I probably wouldn’t choose this hotel if I was looking for a true spa hotel experience but we absolutely would return for a luxury feel stay if ever visiting Dublin again.

07/05/2026: The raspberry and almond tart was divine! As was my cappuccino. Everything in the case was so beautiful, it was hard to decide on what to buy. 😍 The woman was very helpful and friendly. It was a wonderful first stop to start my day off right. Thank you!

26/06/2026: This was, without question, the singularly worst hotel experience of my life. We stayed during an unseasonably warm stretch, only to discover the hotel completely lacks air conditioning. Our room was sweltering. The only accommodation provided was a couple of inadequate fans and windows that barely opened, offering absolutely no relief from the heat. To make matters worse, we attempted to use the hotel’s reasonably priced shuttle to head downtown. Astonishingly, the shuttle also lacks air conditioning and does not even have windows that open. It was a suffocating ride, and a mistake we only made once. It is one thing for a property to have a fatal infrastructure flaw like a total lack of climate control. It is entirely another for management to offer absolutely nothing to compensate for such unbearable conditions. Even a simple gesture—like a few complimentary drinks at the bar to help guests cool down—would have gone a long way in showing they care about their guests' comfort. They didn't. If you value basic comfort and standard customer service, stay elsewhere.

25/06/2026: A wonderful hotel! Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and I was highly impressed by the wide variety of facilities available throughout the complex. ​During our stay, we visited OD’s restaurant twice for dinner and twice for breakfast. The food is absolutely incredible—the goat's cheese bruschetta and the corn ribs were outstanding, and every single dessert was stunning! Huge compliments to the kitchen team and the chefs. ​What truly made our stay memorable was the exceptional service from a few standout members of the staff. First, the young lady with glasses (who wore a yellow scarf instead of a tie)—she was an absolute professional, incredibly polite, competent, and cooperative at both breakfast and dinner services. Massive respect for her work ethic! Also, a huge thank you to Amy and Malek; their big smiles and top-tier hospitality will be remembered for a long time. ​On top of that, all the housekeeping ladies were exceptionally polite and thoroughly professional. ​While we noticed a slight contrast on the restaurant floor—as some of the other staff members seemed a bit unsure of their roles—the dedication of the individuals mentioned above, combined with the excellent food and spotless room standards, made our experience great. We would definitely consider staying here again!

28/09/2026: Amazing lads working inside. Quick friendly service and made a lovely iced coffee, filled it to the brim. Great shop to go for snacks before a long train journey. Highly recommend

22/09/2026: It’s wonderful there is a place on the train station to have something warm to drink. Kind staff, good muffins and good coffee - decaf as well.

26/06/2026: We had a 5 night stay and I have to say it was a fabulous experience. My wife has MND and I explained this when booking as I was a bitter nervous with our first hotel stay since diagnosis but everything was done by the hotel to make our visit just right including putting a shower seat in the bathroom for my wife. From check in to check out everything was so perfect my wife wants me to look at booking another break later in the year

02/06/2026: Just back from a weekend in the hotel....it was brilliant. Great staff and rooms. Lovely food. But its the location, I mean directly across from the sea and the beach. Walking the promenade and getting fresh air. The best.

16/07/2026: I visited this place two weeks ago and was excited to try it because of the positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I came with my family, and since it was our first visit, I asked a young employee who was preparing the ingredients whether they also offered anything sweet, as my little daughter was hoping for a dessert or sweet snack. Her reaction made me feel quite uncomfortable. She gave me a strange look and avoided eye contact, which made me feel as though I had asked something inappropriate. Perhaps she was having a bad day, or maybe there was some misunderstanding, but the interaction left us feeling unwelcome. In the end, we decided not to order anything, even though my daughter was already hungry. I would like to mention that the other employee seemed very friendly, but unfortunately the first impression had already discouraged us from staying.

29/07/2025: Estábamos en una crisis de tiempo después de que nuestro restaurante anterior estaba saturado. Hicieron espacio para nosotros a pesar de no tener una reserva y sacaron nuestra pizza y pasta rápido. La comida era buena e incluso acomodaron a mi hijo de 8 años con sus espaguetis. Restaurante sólido. ¡Pulgares arriba de mi hija!

27/06/2025: Excelente comida y ambiente. Estuvimos allí temprano por la noche un jueves no muchos en pero la comida era excelente y tenía un ambiente muy relajante. Encontramos el vino un poco caro, pero en general encontramos el precio del alcohol en lugares en Dublín más caro de lo que estamos acostumbrados. Hubiera tenido unos cuantos más si hubiera sido más razonable. En general muy bueno

05/09/2026: Family restaurant but unfriendly staff and poor service.

28/08/2026: Second visit to this location in the past few months. Dined in on both occasions. We booked table for both visits... Its mad !! I haven't a bad word to say about either visit. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive. They were great with the kids. Only "complaint "- we were stuffed 😃.. the food was genuinely savage. Its good location for parking and wasn't packed busy on either occassion with plenty of seating... in this day when people are quick to point out problems I think its important to praise those that do it well and consistently. Will definitely return.

25/09/2025: First time and it was a great surprise. Food is just the right amount of spicy (we chose things with just one jalapeño) and the Kulfi for dessert was delicious. We had a selection of starters and side plates to share (garlic naan is a must) Our servers were suuuuper nice and attentive, they gave great recommendations and were conscious of food choices (I'm vegetarian). All in all a great experience, definitely recommend. Sorry there's no pictures we ate everything before taking any
