The best restaurants

31/12/2024: The owner gave a personal warm welcome. Very authentic and personable. Staff was lovely and attentive. Not to mention the food which was excellent! We had linguini with shrimps and salmon. Our dinner was one of the best we had during our trip.

29/12/2024: We had a beautiful meal in Bates Restaurant. It was a lovely atmosphere, food delicious and service charming. Definitely recommend this restaurant. Deirdre Siobhan and Marian.

01/02/2025: First time trying H&L and it was beautiful. Went for a breakfast with my wife and Can't fault anything in regard to service and the food. We didn't even have a lunch or dinner that day we were so full from the breakfast. Only downfall was price, it was just the 2 of us and cost €50. Crazy for a breakfast but considering it filled us for the day you can understand why.

23/01/2025: Service was really good. It has a nice atmosphere in the main restaurant. Decor of the bathroom area is weird and they could be cleaner. Food is nice I enjoyed but it is very expensive. I nearly died when I found out we were charge 17.45 for an OMELETTE. Like it wasn't anything special. Yes it had toppings but that was crazy money. Then 3.50 for a tiny glass of orange juice!! The eggs benedict could have had more sauce for the price. Nice food and staff very friendly but way over priced for what you are getting.

26/10/2024: I booked for 26/10/2024,for one night,had to confirm with payment.. unfortunately I couldn't make it there on that day so reached out hours earlier through email to change my reservation to the next day 27..they totally refused yet they had rooms,took money anyways..book at your own risk..not understanding management

13/10/2024: Group of 4 on a Sunday evening. Very comfortable & relaxed venue with great service from attentive staff. Lots of space in both bars, high quality decor that's very comfortable. Friendly crowd, good selection of beers. Will be sure to visit again.

23/01/2025: Amazing little cafe with a wide selection of teas and cakes. The atmosphere is cosy and also had a great view of the world going by.

05/11/2024: We dined as a group of 14 for a special occasion. I had emailed in advance and was told that a there was a set menu for groups of 12 or more and that a Sunday roast special would also be included. On the day we were then advised that it was not. Most of the food was delicious particularly the starters and desserts. However 5 out of 14 people ordered well done steaks which all came out medium at best. We paid a supplement for the steaks to be cooked to order so this was disappointing especially as we were treating our guests to this meal and so they would not have wanted to complain. Service of the main course was also slow with 10minutes between the main course and sides being brought out. Most disappointingly, I emailed the restaurant afterwards outlining the issues and still have not received a response a week later. As a result I would not recommend the church for a similar event.

05/02/2025: 📍 Arrival & first impression: This café from the famous chain is well located and easily accessible. ✨ Atmosphere & welcome: the café is too small. there are no chill corners and too many people. The staff is cold, distant and unprofessional. I felt more like I was at the checkout line at a supermarket. 🍽️ Experience: Coffee was not served generously and the almond milk matcha seemed cut with water. 💰 Price: Bad value for money, even if a chocolate was offered in the price of our orders.

19/01/2025: Very busy most of the time, which is not surprising given the coffee. Tables can be very slow to be cleared and occasionally cleared of crumbs. Food ( Such as buns cakes ect. ) can be a bit hit or miss. Not withstanding all that we go here almost every day and enjoy it.

30/01/2025: Excellent spot for a sandwich would highly recommend. The beef sandwich was melt in your mouth cooked to perfection. €8 is a reasonable price tag for centre of Dublin city.

20/09/2024: Great spot for a quick lunch to go. They have tasty sandwiches, made fresh each day, that they toast up for you. Always tastes great!! They offer a lunch deal with a sandwich + soup for a reasonable price. Always hits the spot and I’ll be back again soon!!

23/08/2024: The only independent cafe we could find between Dublin & Leitrim, and it just so happens to have great coffee 🙏🏻

06/02/2025: Really excellent experience eating here with our family. Service was excellent and friendly. Food was delicious, having the kids do the toppings on their own food was a lovely touch. I would recommend the BBQ ribs, pizza, prawn pil pil and profiteroles. Exterior of the building doesn't represent the nice warm atmosphere inside.

08/01/2025: One of the nicest pubs I've been to. Great history and atmosphere is always welcoming with a very good pint of Guinness. Worth traveling to if your in the Kerry area
