The best restaurants

20/10/2025: I bought a baguette with hot chicken this morning and the chicken was like a shoe sole, it was probably three days old and the baguette is also dry, disgusting! Considering the class of the store and the prices, I thought the food was of a high standard and fresh, big mistake, I will definitely not go back there.

16/10/2025: Cleanest premises ever .. food from the deli is outstanding. All staff are lovely to be with and it's always busy..

12/04/2026: Truly 5 star across all aspects of the hotel. Fabulous spa, gorgeous room with great views, fantastic breakfast, amazing kind staff.

08/04/2026: I was really excited to stay in this hotel - it's been on my list of hotels I have wanted to go to for a while. Overall I wouldn't be coming back which is real shame as I was looking for a nice place to take my family every Christmas. 1. Stains on my pillows in bedroom - the two stained pillows should have been put in bin I have no idea why the housekeeper put them on bed. 2. The hotel says it's an ''estate'' with over 138 acres - the reality is there is a 9 hole golf course - with a short 20min walk to the side of it as the only real ''walk''. On the website it is rather deceiving making it seem it is a large estate with many walks. There is small walled garden and just the 20min walk - which is really just on golf course. I was expecting trials and various walks around for 1hour. 3. I really like listening to piano player in bar - but two days in a row he plays the same songs.. 4. If you want any service in the cocktail bar you have to go to the bar yourself which for a 5 star hotel isn't acceptable. There was only one bar man - who has to cover 3 different rooms himself as well as make cocktails and also do whiskey tastings. He needs atleast one other member of staff there. 5. The cocktail bar during day has music so low if it's just you and another table you hear their whole conversation which I don't want to. Same as having lunch in the abbey with my partner another couple same in - with no real music and small space you feel pretty awkward even talking. 6. The Pullman restaurant is an unusual experience however the food isn't to standard for 1 star Michelin and staff. I could go into another 8 points here as to why but I won't. 7. No gym - how can a hotel be 5 star with no gym? 8. Spa treatments are nice however relax area looks on to golf car park? First time for everything - a simple curtain to block this out would be better.

02/10/2025: we got pizza & wings delivered from here last night - delivery time excellent!! the food was absolutely amazing- we had a simple margharita, chicken wings with blue cheese dip - the pizza was incredible better than some I've tasted in italy - seriously tasty & the wings & dip were out of this world - the combination of taste impressed me so much - I will never go anywhere else for pizza & wings again THANK YOU FOR A DELICIOUS MEAL & if you haven't tried it then trust me you won't be disappointed ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

14/09/2025: I would like to think that I was an isolated case with so many good reviews, the pizza was terrible. I ordered delivery and it is true it arrived hot but they had almost no toppings and the dough was chewy, my mouth hurt after chewing so much, I will not order here again.

29/09/2025: Great apartments, friendly pub and the owner is helpful with food options and taxi service.

18/09/2025: Great experience. Matty was great and welcoming. He recommended a great local restaurant to eat dinner. Nice kitchen, beautiful new tiled bathroom with shower. The only minor issue was the bed footboard stuck out (we keep running into the corners).

01/06/2026: I came on a bank holiday and unfortunately the squid was sold out, but I’ll definitely try it next time. I enjoyed the food, and the staff and chefs were hardworking and friendly. One chef was so helpful 💁‍♀️

19/11/2025: A good selection of small meals to take away or eat in. Limited space and often long wait times. The staff seems slow and inefficient, and is unfriendly and indifferent. It's a shame, because the meals are really good and attractively presented.

07/11/2025: Found this little Gem whilst waiting for ferry crossing , amazing sour dough and sell a fabulous slection of meat, ready meals and preserves, will call in on next trip to Ireland

20/02/2026: Beautiful food in both premises, but on the two occasions I've visited Balance District I've met the same woman with an attitude. Never met her before , don't know her. Not even thank you after paying. For this reason alone, I won't be returning. She really is a dreadful person.

14/01/2026: So only for 1 or 2 waitresses that get distracted in conversation. I once waited 20 minutes for 2 take away coffees and then was giving then in a ceramic mug! After asking twice I was in a hurry so very inconvenient for me. The 2 waitresses were busy chatting behind the counter on a busy time, so disappointed at this. I never went for a take away coffee again. But go for breakfast from time to time.This place is amazing 👏 food is top 😋 the new waitress Alison is amazing great service and great at her job very efficient.

21/04/2026: Bought chips there recently. They were reheats and looked like crisps. Very poor quality. Shocking really given the competition for good food now. The burger was tasteless as well. The only thing that tasted nice was the can of Fanta orange. Really disappointed with the standard here and would expect alot more from them.

01/12/2025: Amazing quality food, best in Drogheda in my opinion. The chips are so fluffy and not super greasy. I recently had to change go-to chippers due to drop in quality and it is a delight to find Macari's, the beef doesnt take like fish, its friendly on the tummy, and quality is kept in mind. Lighting speed delivery as well! Cant go wrong with a good awl Macari's ;)

30/01/2026: I ordered food one night and I was plesently surprised it was a lovely curry I loved it Ive ordered again online everything was great driver was pleasent too , I am very particular about food very fresh hot and truely good no complaints only they forgot my prawn crackers but the food was so good I overlooked this.....Great little takeaway justeat.

12/05/2026: The food was AMAZING I've been to phoinex court a lot and the service was really good.The atmosphere was also good, there's flowers and more flowers outside the window, there's even a mint bowl where u can take a mint if u want.There's also very good looking mirrors at the walls and led lights,the seats were very comfortable too! Overall rating 5 stars! Thank You!
