24/08/2025: We got the feeling that they didn't want to serve us at 8 p.m. They told us the kitchen was closed and there were people dining...

23/08/2025: We were there last Friday. Waitress was not customer friendly 2/10 I got tea with sour milk , a colleague got the smallest portion of risotto you could serve Rip off and terrible services. Unlikely to go back and we were regular.

07/09/2025: A lovely restaurant with really great waitstaff! My friend said the bangers and mash was so good she could have it 3x over - highly recommended! The small steak was nice, a little sinew-y at first but the peppercorn sauce was delicious. Great portion sizes!

14/09/2025: Very nice place, easy check-inn. Clean and tidy room . Restaurants nearby for diner. The bar West End bar is very nice to have a drink in the evening. The Irish breakfast is very tasty.

13/11/2025: One of the best steaks I've ever had! Absolutely worth the price! But the highlight of the meal for me, was the dessert. Shaughna's triple chocolate brownie was quintessentially the best dessert I've had in my life! My kudos to the pastry chef. Overall a lovely evening!

27/10/2025: Ordered a proper special and got a box full of left over crap, tiny piece of a tender, box was 90% of reheated chips that obviously had been siting all day, chicken wings looked like they would poison you. Disgusting, will never order again

07/12/2025: We came to Ennis for the day as we just wanted to do something different. As we had no idea of where to eat we walked around and found The Alley Asia. We were unsure at first as there was very little people inside but we came in and we were greeted with a smile and the waiter knew his job, gave us the menus and gave us time to decide. The meal was way beyond our expectations. It came out hot, freshly cooked and the right size portions. It was a very satisfying meal. While we were there a steady flow of people came in either for takeaway or sitting in. We would highly recommend The Alley Asia. We will be back again. Even thinking about our meal our mouth is watering.

12/03/2026: Order via Phone call. ALWAYS waiting, the last 4 times I’ve ordered I was told 45mins 3 times and 25mins 1 time. Each time I got there I was told it will be another few mins and still waited 1hr extra on top of the original time told. I heard them say to others and to myself that it’s cooked fresh so it takes longer which I fully understand, BUT at least be honest with how long, if I ring up and you tell me it’s going to be 1.5hrs long, I have no problem, I will just ring up and hour earlier instead of me wasting my time, waiting around watching the same thing happen to several people before and after me. Food is great which is why I’m a regular, but this is really annoying. The same waiting time happens through the online order as I have personally seen it happen while waiting. Thanks.

02/03/2026: Ordered a take away here last week. Was told it would be ready for collection at 6. Showed up at 6. Place was absolutely packed with other people waiting to collect take away. Around 6:45 I asked for my money back as paid when I arrived. Was told my order was next. Finally got it around 7:30. The lady running the front of house and takeaway was very rude. Can’t recommend this place. Food was average at best. Shocking service. Dreadful customer service. €60 order and treated like that. Very poor. Never again.

03/11/2025: Excellent bookshop. Helpful and friendly staff.

14/10/2025: Rather over-priced café. Nice mezzanine space over looking main street. Friendly staff. Cramped toilet space. Upstairs venue so not wheelchair or child buggy friendly.

12/02/2026: I’ve been to this place several times and the food and juices are truly amazing, but I noticed that on at least two occasions when I arrived after 2 p.m., the card machine had “mysteriously” stopped working. I understand that taking orders later in the day can be inconvenient. However, if you are unable to take orders for any reason, please just close the shop. Don’t keep telling customers that you can’t take their order because the card machine is broken when that is obviously not the case. It felt like you simply didn’t want to take my order because it was late.

05/03/2026: Big great burgers, but the best are the fries, generous portion of real fries fried in peanut oil. Try the milkshake adding bacon, if you are a bacon lover you will not regret it.

12/02/2026: Took 3 hours before we get our order and you cant cancel because the food was prepared already. Not great place to order!

20/02/2026: Beautiful food in both premises, but on the two occasions I've visited Balance District I've met the same woman with an attitude. Never met her before , don't know her. Not even thank you after paying. For this reason alone, I won't be returning. She really is a dreadful person.

14/01/2026: So only for 1 or 2 waitresses that get distracted in conversation. I once waited 20 minutes for 2 take away coffees and then was giving then in a ceramic mug! After asking twice I was in a hurry so very inconvenient for me. The 2 waitresses were busy chatting behind the counter on a busy time, so disappointed at this. I never went for a take away coffee again. But go for breakfast from time to time.This place is amazing 👏 food is top 😋 the new waitress Alison is amazing great service and great at her job very efficient.

03/09/2025: Great place for a coffee and pastry (which they get from Bread 41-good tip to miss the line there is come here). Some benches out front to enjoy on. Fresh bread, flowers and a large wine selection available. Good cheese, meats, pasta, and all sorts of spices and sauces available. Highly recommend as a local grocer.
