19/02/2026: Called in on spec as on a longish trip. Ordered battered sausage and a large chip. Sausage nice. Chips nice, but, portion size was small for a large chip. Prices the going rate. Stopped in Parnell Grill in Clomel. Huge portions and , tbh, tastier than Robertos. Prices similar, portion size not. Would not go out of my way to go to.

30/08/2025: Very disappointed, very high price, no interest or flavor. Like, €3.30 is impossible for a Happy Hippo donut without filling. So, these guys are selling a simple donut with icing (an industrial decoration) for €3.30. Nonsense.
What a rip-off!
21/08/2025: In my opinion, these are the best donuts in Dublin, despite the slightly higher prices compared to the competition.
Another big plus is that the shop participates in the Too Good to Go program, so you can pick up a six-pack of donuts for just €6 in the evening, and they still taste great.

08/06/2026: An unbelievable setting in the West of Ireland, the rooms are modern boutique , the bar, restaurant and surrounding landscape recently refurbished and I was blown away by the set up, the castle has a long history and the staff went through the history with my wife and I, we had great craic in the bar followed by a really enjoyable meal , the service was 10/10 well worth a visit

06/04/2026: Amazing food, amazing service and amazing place in general. I loved the waiters, they were extremely kind and helpful, really made the restaurant a worthy revisit for me. The food tasted very fresh, very authentic and the prawns especially were delightful. Their decorations really showed how hard every one of them works, even during easter they gave easter eggs to my kids.

11/09/2025: This is the first mosto in Ireland where I felt unwanted. The young man behind the bar seemed quite unpleasant. For every beer we had to push our way through people sitting at the bar. I didn't like it here very much. I was here during my holiday. Everyone around is kinder and nicer. The only nice thing is the burning fireplace. PS: In the end, the lady who replaced me saved it a bit, but you only make a first impression once.
30/05/2025: We stopped for a pint in Gort and struck up a convo with some locals about an ancestral home (with sketchy details) but they knew what we were talking about and even looked up the phone number of an old-timer who could fill in some gaps!
What a thrill (and the bar was quite fun, too; the horse-racing was on the telly!)

27/06/2026: Very disappointed ordered avocado and poached eggs on toast. Didn't receive the avocado. The porched eggs was overly well done Toast was soggy. and definitely overcharged for €10. Ask code, she redo the eggs and staff told me it would take 10 to minutes, so left behind, didn't even eat it.

26/09/2025: I had booked my sisters 21st surprise birthday party. I can say from the day I booked it we were made so welcome to the pub. Thanks to the boss and the staff for the best night. The function room and venue was amazing and ideal for us. Great for christening party etc. would highly recommend. Couldn’t Thank yous enough.
