29/08/2026: We played 18 holes at Waterford Castle Golf Club during our stay and overall really enjoyed the round. It’s a nice and quite interesting golf course, although in some places it feels a little bit neglected. The condition of some of the greens could definitely be better, and overall the course is not in perfect condition. But at the same time, you have to understand that this is a very local Irish golf course, not some super luxury golf resort, and for what it is, we really enjoyed it. The course is interesting to play, the atmosphere is relaxed and we had a very nice round. Overall, a very pleasant golf experience and definitely worth playing if you are staying at Waterford Castle.

19/08/2026: Waterford Island GC. Great staff and venue and 18 hole course. lovely food. Ferry is fun as is fab Castle. we stayed for 2 nights in fab lodges Would love to see a mini boat tour..around island....Great experience..

28/07/2026: Authentic cuisine. We greatly appreciated the quality of the dishes. Furthermore, the portions were generous. It's a takeout place, so there's no dining area. I highly recommend it.

07/08/2026: Ordered online here near 10 at night. I arrived in and it was busy was served immediately by very friendly staff. Food was ready and it was absolutely phenomenal, the burger was 10/10 best chipper burger I've had in years. Will definitely be back.

28/08/2026: The food was delicious, fresh, and incredibly tasty. Dishes are prepared and served instantly, with attentive and personalized service from the owner himself. What's more, the prices are very reasonable for the quality they offer. A true explosion of flavors in every bite! Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back! 🤤🍽️

22/09/2026: Avoca is located within the castle grounds. Apparently, it opened during the castle's renovation in 2012. I was surprised to find one here, and when I went in, the bread was enormous. Not only was it huge, but the quantity was immense. Well, I suppose that's typical of Irish bakeries, but it's the location that really stands out. It's right in the middle of the castle. And it was a weekday, but I wonder if they sell this much every day? I can't imagine tourists carrying loaves home; maybe it's locals buying them while out for a walk? There was ramen in the Asian food section, which was a nice little surprise 🇯🇵 I also went to the Avoca in Malahide, but I was completely overwhelmed by the bread. But I was able to relax and enjoy myself.

28/09/2026: I had many striploin steaks on my recent travels around Ireland - this was by far the best! Great value Languedoc and the staff were also most welcoming to our dog - brilliant!

24/09/2026: Food was well, the burger was reasonable size with fries as side dish. The service was unfortunately pretty bad. Very unfriendly and stressed for no reason since the restaurant was only half full. The pictures of the scenery are a little old on google it just altered a few years since then. We made a reservation online and where able to get in around 1 hour earlier, which as very appreciated since it was raining. 10% service charge added on the bill

05/07/2026: Absolutely fantastic place,, food was unbelievable,,, staff were brilliant couldn't be nicer,, burgers & cottage pie were excellent,, if i could give one negative side is there is no social media updates for years,, people need to see updates to find this place.. if I'm ever passing I'll make sure I'm hungry enough to stop in...
