20/06/2026: We were recently visiting Newcastle West from USA & Germany and were looking for a cozy traditional pub. We stopped by the Silver Dollar Bar for a nice evening out. Landlord Patrick, all his staff and guests welcomed us as if we were family. We all had the most enjoyable evening listening, singing and dancing to a live traditional music session. We will definitely visit the Silver Dollar Bar next time we’re in Newcastle West.

27/07/2026: A pub with locals and a view of the cathedral, friendly service

20/06/2026: Found exactly what I was looking for with a chill pub outside the city center. A city self park is across the street. As soon as i walked in I knew this was a hang for me. The bar was chill with a community feel. Mostly men were gathered watching Hurling on the TV. There is also an adjacent too. I got a pint of Guinness at the bar. The bartender was friendly enough and price was good at under 8 euro. Fantastic tasting brew. It's a solid pub in Kildare.

22/09/2026: I met a friend here with our babies for lunch. The staff seemed irritated with how much space we were taking up with our buggy's. At one point I stood up to settle my baby and absentmindedly put my bag on the high table behind me. A passing staff member tutted and took my bag from the high table and placed it back on my chair without saying anything else or looking at me. We definitely won't be returning with our babies. I guess it's more of a student spot and they don't want business from families

17/07/2026: We were staying at the Hyatt Centric and though we didn’t have breakfast included in our room rate we ended up paying (a very reasonable price) to eat breakfast here every day because we enjoyed it so much. The food is fantastic but the service is unbelievable. Lisa and her team are all incredibly friendly and attentive and go above and beyond for everyone (they remembered my order after being gone for a week on roadtrip around Ireland). We already miss our friends here!

16/05/2026: Waste of money and will not order again. Delivery took one hour and twenty-five minutes. The place is a thirteen minute drive from my home so waiting that long is unacceptable.

20/07/2026: Attended an engagement party & never seen so much unnecessary stress brought on the host by the venue. Complete lack of communication from the venue for weeks while she was trying to get simple responses about requests. Details changing last minute after no communication between staff about starting/finishing times for music, tables being reserved for other parties after different information had been given to the host. Very unorganised. Once party had been booked host was then informed that the music outdoors had to be stopped early due to residents this should have been reiterated earlier to her. To then be told you cannot reserve tables inside so people can go enjoy music indoors. Food organised from venue next door Ended up feeding another party that was also outdoors so more money had to be spent on food last minute? Just completely avoidable misinformation being based between staff and the host

13/09/2026: I visited Indian Tiffins today with a friend. Unfortunately, while the food itself was fine, the customer service left a very disappointing impression. We initially sat at a table for six because we had only planned to order takeaway and leave. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty, so we didn't think there would be an issue with where we sat. We ended up ordering two cups of tea while waiting for our takeaway. When we later asked for the bill, the waiter appeared to completely ignore me and looked straight past me. I then noticed the group of six behind me, which made the interaction feel dismissive. We were asked to move to a table for two which I completely understand. However, the way we were spoken to was unnecessarily rude. What made it more uncomfortable was that one of the customers from the group actually apologised to us, rather than the staff member who had spoken to us. There was also confusion when I went to pay. Our takeaway parcel had been left on a counter to the side, while another parcel was kept near the cash desk. I almost walked out with someone else's order because there was no clear communication about which parcel was ours. I understand that restaurants can get busy and that tables need to be managed, but basic courtesy and clear communication should still be expected. Unfortunately, the way we were treated made the experience unpleasant, and I would expect much better customer service.

08/09/2026: Indian Tiffins, Dublin Had a really enjoyable meal at Indian Tiffins in Dublin. The restaurant has a nice, relaxed atmosphere and the menu offers a good variety of Indian and regional-style dishes. We tried flavour-packed Indo-Chinese platter consisting of Chicken 65, Chicken Schezwan Rice and Chicken Hakka Noodles, bringing together crispy chicken, aromatic rice and wok-tossed noodles with bold spices and sauces. The noodles and rice combination was another highlight. The noodles were well seasoned with plenty of vegetables, while the rice had a lovely Indo-Chinese-style flavour with peppers, spring onions and cashews. The portions were generous and the food was served hot and fresh. We also had Indian tea, which was comforting and nicely prepared, along with mango juice.

21/09/2026: Love Dash, but unfortunately on this occasion, there was a hair in my sandwich. My partners sandwich was fine, although could have been fresher and hotter. Iced coffees were lovely as always. We ordered by Deliveroo on this occasion to avoid the queues at Dash, and unfortunately Deliveroo have refused to refund me for the hair in my food. I’m truly disgusted and disappointed.
