The best restaurants

11/01/2026: Great little gem out the back entrance of a wonderfully chaotic second hand bookshop. The cakes were delicious and the staff helped create a friendly atmosphere. Note: it’s better to enter through the bookshop over the strange back alley route.

23/12/2025: A truly special, tucked-away cafe with gorgeous cakes and scones and other treats baked on site. Food portions are large, hospitality is warm and generous, and it's a peaceful spot to spend an afternoon. Abundant courtyard seating (with heaters) for the warmly dressed (my first visit was in December). Highly recommended for people who want a Dublin oasis within an easy walk of Grafton/St. Stephen's/etc. Also of note: While the cafe has been in business for a couple of decades, it changed hands this year and the new owner, Julio, was on site, very warmly welcoming, and seems to have a happy staff working for him. UPDATE: Just noting after several more visits that my first impression has only cemented into a conviction that this is a world-class cafe and people who take the time to seek it out will leave feeling like the luckiest and best-liked customers who have ever visited.

30/11/2025: Fabulous pastries and sausage rolls, however there is a major bottleneck with coffee. Not vey busy in a Sunday morning and still waited almost 10 to get my coffee after paying for it.

22/11/2025: Oh good LORD. Greatest place on earth. Staff are lovely, food is incredible, building is gorgeous and clean. Each item on the menu is delicious and inventive. The place is so clean I could eat off it. And the staff are so unbelievably kind. SUCH good energy and always up for a chat. I could be having the worst day ever and one minute in there, im cured of everything. Im not even glazing. Keep doing whatever you're doing and I look forward to seeing the business continue to grow 😊

26/05/2026: I ordered a vegetarian burrito ( mild salsa) to go. After they asked me to pick between - mild, medium and spicy. It was one of the spiciest food I’d eaten in my life. I was sweating and dizzy by the end of it. Could only eat 1/3rd of it and had to remove the rest. It makes me feel they mixed up my order. Not a good experience at all for someone who doesn’t like spicy food.

22/03/2026: I really wanted to like this place as its the only burrito takeaway near this place , but after three visits across three different months, I still haven’t been able to get the beef — despite it being listed on the menu every time. It’s frustrating when the options are already limited: only one type of rice and one type of beans available. The burrito I got was also surprisingly small for the price (see photo). I’m honestly not sure how it has so many positive reviews. On the plus side, the location is great and the seating area is nice. Respect to the spot, but the food and consistency need work.

30/05/2026: Travelled down today for the third time with my family from Banbridge for lunch... An absolute delight from start to finish. Pleasant staff and amazing food... A hidden gem. Brilliant 😍

24/05/2026: Restaurant review only. Very disappointing experience. It took at least 10 minutes before a waitress came to take our order. After ordering, we waited for another 30/40 minutes for our food before finally asking staff about the delay, but no one could give us an answer. I eventually went to the bar to cancel the order, only to find out that no order had ever been placed with the kitchen. What made it worse was the attitude from the barman, who was quite unpleasant and offered no apology at all. Overall, a very poor experience and not somewhere we’d rush back to.

06/01/2026: Food good but ordered a variety bucket only to get home and it's missing half the order... and the thing working behind the till forgot to put our order through even though we'd ordered 20 mins b4 getting there and still had to wait...

18/01/2026: One of the best places in Ireland! The staff made sure they were offering the best experience ever. The food from the restaurant was outstanding, the pasta was super Italian! The view was divine. The spa was everything I was looking for to recharge, the massage was just on point. The whole weekend was brilliant!

16/12/2025: Beautiful hotel. Room was good. We got one that was away from the main corridor. Bath had seen better days. And no big mirror at side board in room, which was a little inconvenient for makeup and hair. Staff are great. The breakfast was unreal. Been a long time since I was in a hotel that cooked breakfast fresh. Much better than the typical smelly buffet where people put spoons in back in the wrong containers! Would recommend a visit to the terminal suit, if you like jacuzzis that are actually hot. Overall great stay. Would definitely visit again.

12/10/2025: Poor experience today. Bottle recycle ♻️ units full and could Not use them. One check out open and honestly the young lady didn’t want to be there and simply yawned all way through. Expect better form this shop

30/03/2026: This cute asian place had one of the best asian dishes that we have had around galway. It's more of a takeaway place so you order the food and get them in disposable containers. Very affordable and super yummy.

17/12/2025: I had a bad experience with ordering online. I never got a confirmation so I rang to order on the phone and to my surprise I had been charged twice. I rang the restaurant and they couldn't care less that their online system is faulty. The food is just all right anyway so I will no bother again. There are plenty of tasty restaurants in Oranmore.

04/05/2026: Got a large bag of chips, came out tiny despite costing €4.50 (plus he didn't give the right amount of change so it was €5). The chips were also very salty, but it was done quickly. Excluding the saltiness, the chips didn't taste bad but they smelled terrible

24/11/2025: First time eating here. Ordered the mixed kebab and it was amazing 10/10 Shout out to the lads, this will definitely be my go to from now on!

14/06/2026: We came at 00:17, the boat goes at 00:55 turns out the boat went early, we thankfully got another boat the next day at 21:00 because we complained about it. we didnt get any email or anything that the boat went early, PISSED ME OF ALOT.

07/06/2026: Lousy.. The one day in the year I wanted to travel by boat and it wasn't running due to a training exercise. Minimal help with enquiries. Electric Notice board broken for two weeks with out of date information on it ..

27/06/2026: The quality of food here is absolutely amazing, such fresh ingredients and the base of the pizza is divine! Also shoutout to Pedro for always being so warm and friendly - he creates a great atmosphere and it’s clear how passionate he is about his role - thanks guys !
