25/01/2025: We were part of a 30 person stag from Westport that visited Belmullet and had the pleasure of dining in the Western Strands. Even though we were over an hour delayed in arriving, the staff were super accommodating and patient with us. The food was exemplary with the staff super friendly and helpful. Thanks to David and all at the team at the Western Strands for having us. Highly recommend!

31/01/2025: Absolutely gorgeous georgian hotel, staff are amazing, polite, kind, helpful, warm & welcoming. Location is gorgeous & surrounded by the river. Stunning area. Will most definately come back.

28/01/2025: This Hotel is one of the warmest friendliest customer focused hotels I've stayed at. A hotel where customer experience comes first and foremost. Cannot commend the staff enough, so helpful in everyday. Comfortable rooms, relaxing ambience, and delicious food. Peaceful walks on the grounds and a lovely leisure centre to avail of jacuzzi and sauna. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel for corporate stay or a relaxing or romantic break.

07/01/2025: Lovely spot in Cork for some great quality food. I've been to the quay coop grocery many times and finally had the chance to try the restaurant upstairs. The place is quite spacious yet cozy, especially with the fireplace going and the big windows that let in the beautiful winter sun. A beautiful selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes , including a variety of drinks options and desserts. I had the quiche, tomato and lentil soup, and the barley drink. Everything was delicious and great portions, and reasonable prices given the quality and flavour of the ingredients and the generous serving sizes. The quiche was especially filling . Everything tastes fresh and homemade and I love that you can see the kitchen in the back. I liked the barely drink and would have it again, and I would recommend it if you want to try something other than coffee. For dessert, I had the avocado chocolate tart. If you're a dark chocolate lover,like myself, you are going to fall in love with this tart. It is luscious and decadent but not too heavy. It really leans into the dark chocolate richness, and it is the perfect level of sweetness for me. It is a good dessert to share due to its richness, or to save it for later. I highly recommend the restaurant, and I will definitely be back. Not only was the food lovely and the space and staff inviting, but I support the quay coop principles and the causes they stand with ✌️.

22/01/2025: Eddies in Swords had gone downhill fast over the last few years. Most recent order had chip portions with 20 to 25 chips. For seven euro! I emailed a complaint and never heard back.

09/02/2025: Don’t take cash. Overpriced. There’s usually a weird smell. The coffee is not great and it’s expensive. Staff really nice and pastries are good!

06/12/2024: Was my first time here and i definitely will come back. Real italian food made by italians. Very positive attitude of the owners, and the food soooo tasty. I took bruscetta woth tomato, basilic, olives and a hint of garlic, the bread was just as it should be. Ordered pizza, actually you can create what inside on your own - the dough was thin, crispy, and right amount of cheese. Ordered also a Kaneloni with ricotta cheese , spinach and tomato- i have to say - the taste was the best of what i tried before. I really liked it.

15/11/2024: Another amazing meal here. Filled fresh pasta with pumpkin, topped with cheese and crispy bacon bits. The flavour of the filling was amazing to say the least. I sadly didn't take a photo because I was enjoying it way too much. Calamari as always simple perfection. And my husbands calzone filled with meats of all kinds had such texture and flavour; meat lovers heaven. And from prior I can say their goat cheese with onion for non meat lovers hits the spot every time. New was a pesto lasagna that again was flavour packed and veggies delight. A hidden gem that's quiet in the heart of Enfield yet transports you to Italy.
