17/02/2026: Service was very efficient and staff were lovely and gorgeous food

14/02/2026: Went for lunch .was placed at a table with the previous diners leftovers still on it .five minutes later was given a menu .25 minutes later still hadn't ordered or been any indication that I would ge ordering anytime soon.needed my coffee fix so I travelled 200m meters to the Upton Court Hotel was given menu on arrival and coffee straight away while I waited for food.excellent service. Food looked lovely in kates but with no criticism to the staff who were run off their feet. extremely poor setup Won't be back Upton cheaper and top notch

05/01/2026: Visiting friends for Christmas Eve and beyond. Dropped in waiting to be picked up. A sure wasn't the place buzzing with the time of year. The staff working their socks off. Then someone ordered a hot whiskey, for the laugh. That wasn't served. I got chatting with the locals. I could have stayed forever ♾️. I accused a young fella of calling me a dirty old hoor. He was ordering Coors...

30/12/2025: Good grub, staff are attentive and friendly.

07/03/2026: Nice place off the n7 near Carlow. Wet and cold day when I visited. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere but I did find it quite cold, so wrap up if going there on cold days.

25/02/2026: We had lunch today in this restaurant, and I would just describe it as exceptional! Every meal was well balanced in the combination of the freshest ingredients with the right amount of condiments. Especially we appreciated the Wagyu burger and the crème brûlée. The waiting staff were all very welcoming and hospitable. The restaurant itself has a gracious and warm atmosphere, with rustic yet elegant interior and a splendid view. We also enjoyed browsing through the little shop inside, where among other items, there are some lovely handcrafted soaps. We will definitely be back come summer, to enjoy the views and cuisine.

I have been coming to Lolly and Cooks for years for their amazing coffee and sweet treats — but lunch here is next-level delicious. The fresh salads made by Christina were bursting with flavour, and I even bought extra for home! The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. My toddler loves their cosy kids’ corner with books and toys — it’s the perfect family-friendly café to relax after a play in the park. Beautiful food, great coffee, and such a lovely atmosphere every time. 🌿☕🥗

31/08/2025: Standards have dropped lack of curry sauce on chips. Chips not cooked very well. Not the worst but used be alot nicer.

14/09/2025: Full of smoke shockingly. My clothes smelt terrible afterwards .. we had to sit outside in the rain in an effort to avoid the smell .

19/08/2025: Stumbled across this gem while walking the Beara Way and it was an absolute treat. The bar has a lovely terrace with views that make the perfect backdrop for a well-earned pint. The staff behind the bar were welcoming, the atmosphere relaxed, and it felt like one of those hidden treasures you’re glad to discover off the beaten path. If you’re passing through this town, don’t miss it, a pint on that terrace is worth the walk alone.

22/02/2026: I love the Malaysian vegetarian tofu curry here, flavours are delicious but I don’t find the sushi options like the rolls and maki dishes taste super fresh. A little disappointing on the sushi front but love the curry !

05/02/2026: We purposely drive here to get Sushi because the meals are fresh and delicious. One of the best Sushi we have had to date.

25/02/2026: The Philly loaded fries are perfect, the staff is so kind, good value for money. Love that you can see them make the food, only thing i would suggest is to work on the interior to attract more customers, overall very good!

15/03/2026: Please Don't eat food from this restaurant if you don't want sickness. They put the old biryani in Fridge and when you will order they will heat in microwave and will give you.. Same will all other food

15/10/2025: Today I ordered a flat white (I had my own cup) and 2 chocolate covered dates and asked to pay 7.80 EUR, did not give attention and paid. Flat white costs 4.20 (with your own cup 4.00), each date costs 1.50. I then saw there is a coffee and cake afternoon deal (2pm-4pm) for 5 EUR. I kindly asked barista if dates were not included in the deal. She said they are included. It did not make sense and asked if she can explain me the breakdown of my bill: she said the cake deal price has gone up to 6.50 EUR today and one of the dates was included in the deal on my bill. I was negatively surprised with the price increase but did not comment on it. I then said but the dates are cheaper outside of the deal and I dont get why we are including one of them as a part of deal if it does not make total lower. If we take all products individually the total comes to 7 EUR, I dont get why I should pay more because they applied the deal where they should not. Barista kindly said she cannot change the rules. To be fair I am not blaming the barista as she was kind and she even offered some pastries later on to customers (including me) as everyone asked about price increase on afternoon deal. The whole thing just does not make sense.

02/11/2025: Nice staff and service but a trad group essentially displaced us by slowly moving into our seats, shoving our belongings down and eventually telling us to move so we had to leave despite being customers for a couple of hours. Beware of this if you’re a younger person, it felt territorial

24/03/2026: We ordered spicy pork that was brought in a pan that needed to cook on a small stove. The meat was raw and surrounded bij onions and leak and covered in a very large amount of Korean spicy red paste (Gochujang). I’m a big fan of this condiment but it was so much that after cooking the meal it tasted as a box of Gochujang with some meat and veggies in it. It was bad. And it costed €40. When I complained to the staff he reacted that he’ll tell the cook. That’s it. The other dishes were ok-ish. (I have lived in Korea, so have an idea what good food should taste like). Not recommended.
