The best restaurants

21/12/2024: Booked here for a pre Christmas meal, you walk in the door and chef behind counter had a smile for you, the staff had a great sense of humour, attentive and to top it off, we all had pizzas, mine gluten free was delicious. I would give 5/5 for their diligence to making sure gluten free standard was kept. It is an Italian style restaurant, with some meals offered with a Five spice twist to some pizzas. Italian with a twist of Chinese and the aroma walking through doors is fantastic. Staff as you can see are not Italian and I only say this because I felt after visiting the restaurant some reviews were perhaps unfounded. The staff, chef, and food top notch. Shall be a second visit next time visiting Dunlaighaire

09/01/2025: Very large pub/restaurant with wide range of food and drinks. Very good efficient staff who make every customer welcome. Guinness as good as it gets. Off the main tourist drag, so less crowded and commercial.

01/01/2025: The pub is very nice, with great music and atmosphere. However, the staff at the bar probably have the worst attitude I’ve ever seen in my life. Their behaviour is completely arrogant towards everyone. You almost have to beg them to sell you a drink, and they even refused to serve me one. Truly unbelievable.

25/09/2024: One of the larger Asian supermarkets in Dublin, and due to the Jervis Centre car park right opposite possibly the best if you plan to load your car with mainly Chinese, but also Thai, Filipino etc. ingredients. In-store fresh vegetables, fruit, butchers' counter, fish counter, and even a takeaway restaurant. Bit of a market feeling, and it can get a bit cramped at busy times. But generally helpful and friendly staff will help you if you need it. Prices are hit and miss, you get some stuff cheaper elsewhere, other goods are lower priced, my best guess is that at the end of the shopping you pay much the same as in other Asian supermarkets. Only let-down (but this is NOT the fault of Oriental Emporium) is the sometimes quite unsavoury crowd hanging about the LUAS stop right in front of the entrance.

From the outside it may look small, but step inside and you'll find a surprisingly spacious interior with a fantastic selection of delicious ice creams, slushies and more. The prices are reasonable, and the place is impeccably clean. The two staff members who served us were incredibly welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. There are tables across the road where you can sit and savor your treats or coffee. It's definitely worth a visit to try something unique and support a local business instead of the usual big chains.

15/08/2024: Garlic bread as a starter: cheese supplement: €1. I take without cheese. "But are you sure? Because it's really dry without cheese... - I'm not a fan of cheese. - What if he's really not strong? Because it's really dry without..." In short, I took without. But damn, it was dry because there was no seasoning in the accompanying salad! A vinaigrette? Or is just oil too much to ask for? I had a dish afterwards. I waited for someone to come and clear me up to find out about the desserts... No one came in 10 minutes! I left.
