The best restaurants

17/12/2024: Place is fantastic now with modernised look too.. menu is fabulous and food is gorgeous. I'm not from the area but when we're down we always pop in for some delicious food. Staff are lovely and owner is so friendly too. Keep up the good work. We'd go nowhere else only Corcorans. Been a good while since anywhere decent to eat in the area but nobody will top them now. Fantastic work and credit due to u all aswell 👏

12/08/2024: Muy lindo café y buen ambiente. El personal era muy amable. Fuimos allí dos veces y Tool Ice Lattes, macaron, pastel de chocolate y pastel de la pasión. Realmente delicioso.

25/07/2024: Locale elegante e raffinato. Abbiamo preso un dolce e una cioccolata calda. Buono ma non effetto Wow. Diciamo che i prezzi per la qualità offerta sono alti, si paga anche il nome e il lusso.

27/01/2025: Food is amazing! Staff are friendly and attentive even though they are really busy!

26/01/2025: *Our experience was ruined by a guy probably the manager of GRIND on 26/01/2025 , he said he is a solicitor, he has a small stature, he was so rude that he didn't even said his name upon asking*After the storm Eowyn there is no electricity and water in most of the Galway commuter town. So people are flocking to the nearby facilities which are generous enough to help. And my family and I are very thankful as we have a 6 month old baby. We were in GRIND in the morning, we were greeted very well by a nice lady and served great food and coffee thanks to them ladies from Clare Galway and Newcastle. To be honest I am feeling guilty to write this because of those nice people working there but a problem should be reported. So this guy who calls himself a solicitor and Manager of the GRIND is the rudest person I have ever met in my life!!! We asked for hot water for the baby formula and instead of saying no he denied us rudely while the other working lady filled our thermos. I understand these are tough days but a person should be humane enough to keep his/her composure during this difficult time anyone could be on the other side. Again, all other staff were really great but this small solicitor fella ruined everyone's effort there. No offence 🙏

20/12/2024: We had our Staff Christmas lunch at the Carriage House today and absolutely loved it! Amy, our server, was very attentive and the food was excellent. The restaurant is beautiful and our group couldn't have been happier with our very enjoyable meal in beautiful surroundings. Although the restaurant was busy, the atmosphere was relaxed. Thank you!

18/12/2024: I hate to leave a bad review. This place is beautiful and the staff were both diligent and friendly. However, it is far too expensive. €160 for two kids chicken nuggets, one fish and chips and two starters? The killer was the €25 we were charged for two glasses of average house red (I know we should have checked first). We had been before and enjoyed it, and maybe we are not the clientele they are looking for (they have added very expensive steaks to the menu since we were last there so probably aiming at the corporate golf crowd), but we were there on a Tuesday evening and the place was empty. There is a 10% service charge and I got the sense the staff were miffed I didn’t leave a tip on top of that. Maybe the prices are a reflection of the ridiculous costs of running a food business in 2024. Or maybe not.

07/12/2024: Girls in the coffee place always go above and beyond. Brilliant place for food and coffee and even sandwiches for events

07/10/2024: Erica and the girls are amazing here. The food is delicious. They also make the best scones I've ever tasted .

22/01/2025: For the first time, I tried the Veg burger from this kebab shop, despite it being the closest to my place. The burger was delicious, the portion size was really good, and the costs were reasonable too.

08/02/2025: I held my daughter’s birthday party here for her 10th birthday. She had an amazing time. Mary and Courtney went above and beyond for us on the day and their outstanding customer service was appreciated with trying to manage all the children, All our requests were catered to and nothing was too much for them. We were so appreciative of everything they did. Amazing customer service. Thanks for everything. I would highly recommend Funworld.

30/01/2025: Staff is too rude unprofessional people working inside wouldn’t recomend anyone

14/01/2025: Nice hotel right in the town centre book it over the phone pay on arrival then the ask for a deposit of a €120 as well on top of payment was very disappointment the girl that took my booking never said anything about a deposit

07/01/2025: Have been there a few times the last couple of months and the food and service is very good. Have had different options on each visit and none of them disappointed. Really good menu.

15/08/2024: We buy our plant necessities here, and ultimately, it's a great place. You can find pretty much anything you need for Gardening.

02/11/2024: Food when sitting always good. Since under new management prices have again increased. A simple bag of chips is getting daft expensive, for example. Best curry sauce in town.

12/09/2024: Best fish & chips in Drogheda in old authentic chipper. Massive menu. Service is basic and unobtrusive.

27/08/2024: Worst Full Irish I’ve ever had. Bland, no black pudding, no taste. The tea was good.
