26/02/2026: Very good food. Always call when in town.

02/02/2026: Only had their food as takeaway so I can’t comment on the dining in experience. Order was ready on time. The wonton soup was delicious. Full of flavour and big portion. The house special fried rice was good overall but sadly there was only one prawn and mainly big chunks of plain chicken breast. Would definitely be back for that wonton soup!!

16/08/2025: Took an hour and a half to get food, pints were flat, order was wrong, would not recommend or go again.

10/08/2025: First time ever staying on a mobile site. Best break I've had in years. The food has been absolutely amazing.. presentation fab .. delicious ..so nice and everyone lovely. Can't wait to be back here soon. Edel has really looked after us for our stay here so special! Tara

30/10/2025: The employees are chit chatting with customers and make the rest wait until they're done this happened twice.

23/10/2025: There is a female manager there that is very rude. She spoiled your time there, when you just want to have a coffe and a moment of peace, as she is constantly angry and screaming at her staff. I saw her staff, mostly young people, being over stressed and one was with tears, I assume is not a nice place to work for.

01/03/2026: I went out with friends and in the end of the night went for a pizza, it was more economical to buy two pieces and since I love that pizza and thought it would be great for next day - I took two pieces while planning to eat only one. My husband meanwhile went to Crane Lane and bought me the last pint to have before taking a taxi to go home. After spending a few minutes in a queue (with the little pizza box in my hands as I didn’t expect it to be a problem and didn’t want to smash it in a backpack) I was told by the guards to eat the pizza before going in, I explained that I had no intention to eat it and I put the pizza in the backpack, they were okay with it but the powerful manager was not - he stopped me saying that he is the manager and I cannot enter with the food. Since the pint that was waiting for me was more pricey than the slice, I ended up throwing the pizza away to be able to get in the crowded club for the last half an hour of the night. I found it really unnecessary and especially funny because if I just put the pizza in my backpack right away - they would have not even known - which I also told to the “manager”, but he was very determined to prove his point. There are people doing drugs at toilets but having a piece of pizza in a backpack is the real problem for them as I guess this is easier for them to use the little power for. His behaviour was very unprofessional and rude. I’d like to add that I wasn’t drunk nor behaved inappropriately, I was calmly waiting in the queue even though I had already friends and husband there, not even trying to get a special treatment whatsoever.

25/11/2025: Ill start with the positives, the food was amazing. I must say props to the chef. I had a fabulous and generously portioned meal for 9 the star is for the food as everything else went terribly. Following my graduation my family of 9 persons went to this hotel to enjoy a family meal. The first issue is in regards to building maintence. The dad cut through his trousers and his leg on a sharp protruding piece of metal acting as a box cover. You can see from the images attached that the cover is missing 2 rivents and is only secured in the middle. My dad brought this to the managers attention who came over to our table halfway through our meal dispiting it with him. He did offer to reduce the price of the meal by 15% however the suit was bought only that morning and that wouldnt cover the cost of a replacement pair of trousers. My dad explained that he didnt want ot have the argiment at the table while trying to enjoy the meal but the manager continued then offering 50€ off (which was less then 15% of our bill...) He said the general manager will be in touch and took our details so we are awaiting a call. We were initally sat at a high stoll table, we asked to swap to a lower table which was done for us no problem as my grandmother was unable to sit at the higher stool due to them not having back rests. We asked a girl who explained it was her fist day if we could mood and she went to ask another person. After about 5 minutes of talking and looking at us another memeber of the wait staff came over and said we could move. There was a bit of a wait for the starters and mains but nothing too extreme we were happy enough to wait. The same lady who moved us was quite rude when we were enquiring about the startes. The menu here has a "Lighter Dishes" section, we asked if that was there starter section and she clarified this to us in a way as if to say we were stupid. "Yeah... thats the starters, is there another quesiotn?". Desserts took quite some time to be brought our. We ordered 3 desserts as the generous portion sizes had us full up. They took 35 minutes to be brought out. I wonder if they were milking the cows in the back to make the cream. At the end of the meal the bill came out and didnt match the prices on the menu at all. Ive attached images of both their menu and the prices on our bill. We were too tired and warm at this point to bother arguing as the lady taking our bill was the same lady who had been rude earlier. The final kick in the teath was the phrasing of their tips. Menu states groups over 8 have gratuity of 10% included however on the bill it is down as suggested even though it is mandatory. Its only a small thing but it added insult to ingury. Previous vists to this place have been nice. Once i was sushed while entering their upstiars returaunt however I was apologised too after bringing it the the managers attention. I love the locaiton and food here but it has really given me a bad tatse now. I dont think me or my family will return which is a shame because we love their pizzas and come rather often. UPDATE No contact from a manager as promised. Cowboy Buisness people operating in Barna. Anyone looking for a place to stay or eat - do not. Plenty of better options in Galway. Avoid this dump like the plague Update again No hope in getting any help. Management have not contacted and when calling say they have no idea what I’m on about. Avoid at all costs. Update again, years later: I still email from time to time and yet no one there cares. I have not been back since (despite being a regular before) and always suggest for people to avoid it like the plague.

01/03/2026: A travesty!! Warning*** they dont have proper chippy chips!!! Such a shame as the fish was lovely, crispy, even batter, very nice but oven style chips which are horrible and unexpected from a fish n chippery!! Chips are a big part of the dish and oven ones aint right so i'd not return or recommend based on that. Staff and atmospere great and i liked that they serve alcohol too

03/02/2026: Really good fish and chips – fresh, crispy fish and overall delicious. The fries could have used a bit more crunch and salt, and the fish was a bit greasy. The Remo wasn't anything special, but it was good. Service was a bit disorganized and the atmosphere a bit loud and uncomfortable. Overall, though, a solid place for fish and chips.

18/01/2026: It’s good here but they just give you medium roost straight away have to specify I want the dark and it’s dog friendly ❤️

01/01/2026: I pop in here regularly with my two boys. Staff are always pleasant and tables and store kept clean. My kids love pretending that their orange juice is a coffee ☕

04/01/2026: €12.40 for two milkshakes. We were shocked when he handed us what I’d call a child’s size cup. It’s an extra €2 per milkshake if you want to upgrade to a large, otherwise known as a normal sized milkshake to everyone else. The kinder beuno one had a strange aftertaste, and a Crunchie one can only be described as a glorified Crunchie McFlurry. The Crunchie one was literally just Crunchie pieces and vanilla ice cream. Avoid if you’re looking for a decent milkshake!

27/10/2025: Impossible to get table service. Tables left uncleared. Staff all hiding behind counter joking among themselves. They give you a menu and then ignore you. I ended up just leaving.

30/08/2025: Tasty treats and a nice sandwich. Great friendly service and nice seata. Relaxed ambiance. Open a little later than some other cafes which was welcome!

06/10/2025: €11 for a slice of dry carrot cake and a coconut latte that tasted nothing like coconut at all. A cup of warm water is what it tastes like. definitely gone down hill with coffees

05/10/2025: Used to be good spot but it is getting worse every week. On Sunday having coffee in single use cup for dining in is very bad. Also Autumn time and no flagship drink, I'd say it won't last long. One of the most expensive spot btw. Very disappointing.

27/12/2025: In the Pub on Saturday afternoon the 27th of December and the place was freezing. There was no heating at all. The other customers were also complaining that the pub was too cold. Especially with the flu going around this is disgraceful, not a cosy pub at all. No wonder the place is going down hill

21/10/2025: Was here saturday myself and daughter ordered the soup unfortunetly it tasted like pureed potato and parsnip no flavour or seasoning very dissapointed but the sandwiches and service were very good

23/01/2026: Ordered for 4 people. A meal deal half showed up. Told 2 weeks ago after as many phone calls I would receive a refund. So far nothing. Other pizza shops are available.

14/11/2025: Vegan pizza was huge 32inch ? it was 2am, after a nightclub , I came home. And it closes 3am ,I was drunk and didn't Realise it was pineapple pizza hahaha ooopps! it was 32 euro and a One hour long delivery ......but still delicious with vegan cheese ,and I had it for dinner the next day too.

28/08/2025: Fish tacos are very, very good!!!! Lamb sandwich was also top notch! One of my favorites now.
