20/07/2025: The documentary on Mairéad Farrell was both sad and poignant. She was a pretty and intelligent girl who ventured down the wrong path, since violence will never resolve any issue. Mairéad should have been united with the late John Hume's ideology, dedicated to peace. If not, she should have moved from Belfast to Dublin. This is an old conflict that I hope will be resolved.

28/12/2025: Came across the restaurant as it is near the B&B I was staying and was also craving some Chinese food. Food was really good and tasty and service was absolutely wonderful. Would totally recommend!

04/11/2025: I was very disappointed when I went here because I cannot consume MSG. Their menu was not available online so I went there and literally every item including mixed vegetables and soup has MSG. Had to go elsewhere

09/03/2026: Ok place staff not very engaging with customers unless customers spoke same language as they do, other wise table staff don't greet you don't smile don't ask if everything is ok or is there anything else they can do while your there, I visited here recently and while I was here with other people the server came to our table asked for our orders we had only just sat down in the seats, and had not even looked at the menu, so while looking at the menu they came back again and we had to ask them for little more time and we would call them when we were ready to place order, anyway once we got our food I observed the same server engaging very well and happily with other customers who were very fluent in same language that the server was also fluent in, and this was observed happening at many other tables but at no time during my and my fellow companions receive same type of curtious friendly interaction during our visit, I think shake dog Waterford needs to review their customer services training and engagement and insist in their staff communication with customers in English language only while on shift. So experience by all customers can be 100% inclusive.

24/09/2025: Food and service is always amazing- the staff are so lovely and the pancakes are some of the best that I’ve had. I always have a good experience with the waitresses and they seem to have great relationships with the locals/ regulars. I have to say though, for the second time now, I’ve noticed the man who I assume is the manager/ head chef talking down to the staff and being rude to them. Could be just that he’s busy or I’m catching him at a bad moment but it definitely sets a bad tone for customers to overhear and get the impression that staff aren’t being treated right- especially given the great job they’re doing!

14/02/2026: Came in here on a rainy valentines day as we were looking for something substantial and tasty. We got both. Excellent food, quick service and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

15/03/2026: This was a gathering after my father's funeral. The staff were truly excellent during this difficult time. Can't say enough about the care and attention they took. I thought the pricing was very fair too. The beef was very good.

17/01/2026: We've eaten out of here for as long as I can remember. For the last while everything seems to have changed a lot. While some of the food is still quite tasty, some meals have gone quite bland (chicken madras being one of them) The price changes have raised a lot and It seems they're going up all the time. There's not even any dips with poppadoms anymore. I'm not sure if it's been taken over. It's really disappointing because we would have normally eaten here every week but unfortunately it's no longer possible. I understand prices have gone up across the board but it seems prices here are constantly going up and like mentioned above, taking away some condiments when increasing prices is a little disappointing.

09/01/2026: From the iced water to the after eights offered with the bill, this was a delightful experience. The food was excellent, tasty and well cooked. Service was very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend having a meal here.

28/02/2026: I dine in Thursday 26/07/26. Food was lovely and very reasonable priced. I decided tonight 27/02/26 to treat my family to take out. It worked out more expensive for take out than dine in ????

30/07/2025: Have had the pleasure of eating here twice over a few days. Brunch/Breakfast on a busy Saturday... pancakes excellent with bacon and maple syrup. And a kids portion of Nutella pancakes all went down a treat We had beetroot and avocado toast which was lovely could have eaten more. Was nearby for lunch on a second occasion and the food didn't disappoint. Burger and fries where tasty. Kids sliders and chips went down a treat. Missed out on dessert as it was closing time. Coffee was good. Both occasions staff where very nice and friendly service was quick. Will be back!

24/07/2025: Had the most amazing birthday breakfast for my wife at Doppio’s and couldn’t fault a single thing. The staff were warm, welcoming, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and special. We ordered the full Irish and the blueberry pancakes both were absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, great quality ingredients, and full of flavour. The pancakes especially were a real hit fluffy, fresh, and packed with blueberries! I’ve also had lunch here in the past, and the steak sandwich still stands out as one of the best I’ve ever had served on a rustic baguette, packed with flavour, and cooked just right. Consistently great food, lovely atmosphere, and fantastic service. Highly recommend Doppio’s it’s a gem! 👏🍳🥩🫐

11/11/2025: It was closed at 13:00 on a Sunday. I shouldn’t be upset because we had a great time going to Molloys instead. 🤷‍♂️

13/10/2025: Newly opened post lock down. Great service, excellent social distancing and reasonable food.

04/03/2026: They don't use gloves to make your food. Touch everything around them and then touch your food without washing their hands.

02/03/2026: Typical Burger King experience food was ok not great , I would avoid here late on a weekend as it gets packed with drunks, also the toilet was pretty nasty and quite dinghy. Reminds me of a city centre public toilet.
