15/01/2025: It was a cafe shop I came to because its view, atmosphere and staff were perfect and in the past maybe I bring more than 10 people here, but today I came with my cousin at 11:45, the blonde tall lady, took the wrong order but when we told her it was wrong, she changed the wrong order with a bad expression but her attitude was very bad. I have never experienced such bad attitude, she delivered the coffee she changed by placing the order roughly on the counter, she did not even look at our faces and did not answer even though we thanked her without paying attention to her sullen face. I do not know what the reason was, our English accent or she was having bad morning but still this is unacceptable.

31/10/2024: Great little cafe to stop for a morning coffee or quick breakfast. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable.

01/02/2025: I usually love coming here since it’s open all night and easy to pop in anytime. But there’s a guy working behind the counter who’s really inappropriate and just straight-up creepy towards women on their own. Never had any issues before today, but just putting this out there so other women know to be careful.

14/02/2025: Bad pizza, stay away Looked like someone sat on it, too small for said size, cold when picked up, mozzarella on 4cheese wasn't stringy. Taste wise were worse than frozen valu pizza.

03/02/2025: I really wouldn’t be a food snob and hate to complain but this restaurant was a let down. The olives were gone off, consistency of black mush with an off putting taste. The 9” pizza is depressing and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. The waitress (although lovely) forgot our drinks order and we had to ask for them again. Considering the price you’d expect decent food with your drinks served before having to re-ask 25 minutes later. I’ll let the picture speak for itself.

31/12/2024: Very very disappointed. Visit yearly @xmas but never again. Gnocchi unedible, burgers dry, chips so hard bounced when you tried to eat with a fork, hake was awful. Plates very bare, no side salad on any dish. Gnocchi had one small piece of garlic bread only, portions were extremely small. Not too busy so no excuse. Left waiting ages to order and again to pay. Did say food wasn't good but told will tell the chef no apology. Won't be back

08/10/2024: Good for a pint of Guinness to wind down the evening while sitting out front to watch the people. There are bouncers at the door checking ID's but they could clearly tell that I am definitely of age. Inside, loud with music at 8pm on a Saturday night. So it was outside with the pint glass and thankfully, no one smoking out there. Great to sit for an hour and watch the idiots peel out from Eyre Square in their fancy cars. And watch the taxis make the u-turn to the stand directly in front. And when someone did decide to light up, finish off the pint and head onwards. Lots of tourists in town this evening so it was busy all around.

11/01/2025: No entiendo por qué esto obtuvo tan buenas críticas - la comida es buena, pero el servicio era atroz. Pedimos agua del grifo, pero nos informaron que no estaba disponible y el agua tranquila que recibimos estaba marcada con el nombre del restaurante. Se dedican a la venta ridícula. Cuando pedimos dos aperitivos nos preguntan si queríamos pan por cinco euros adicionales. Mi esposa pidió sopa como entrada, pero no vino con pan como era de esperar. Pedí paté de hígado de pollo y vino con pan, aunque los extremos sanos de la barra de masa madre que se había tostado. Esto es francamente malo. En general la comida era buena, pero el servicio era pobre. Esperábamos unos 30 minutos para el desierto y cuando no llegó pedimos amablemente que nos dijeran que acababa de llegar. Decidimos irnos y el Gerente se acercó y nos aconsejó que tenían que hacer un nuevo lote del ratón de chocolate caliente que ambos pedimos y que estábamos deseando. En general, mi impresión es que este restaurante no merece las críticas gordas que ha recibido. La decoración es pobre y se parece mucho a la última iteración de su predecesor.

28/11/2024: Cobrado dos veces más - ni idea de cómo se calculó la factura. Aparentemente parte del cargo era por agua del grifo. ¡En serio! Mientras comían, los cadáveres de cerdo fueron llevados a nuestra mesa con el olor de animales muertos que persistían. También se sentó al lado de una nevera llena de cadáveres de pollo - no impresionado. Mala respuesta cuando se queja. Aconsejado para obtener un reembolso de los otros invitados a mi mesa. ¡Actualizará con fotos de los animales muertos!

21/01/2025: The staff are very friendly, the prices are very very reasonable and I had one of the best Pizzas I have eaten in a long long time. Highly recommend. They have an extensive menu so no matter what you are in the mood for, they have something you'll be interested in. Including vegetarian options!

13/02/2025: This restaurant was recommended to us and WOW was it a brilliant recommendation. We ordered 5 breakfast of differing types and all were just stunning. We live 1 1/2 hours from here and we would not have an issue driving up again as it was so good. I have already told a lot of people about them.

29/01/2025: I used to be a regular at the store in applewood but in the past 3 months I’ve noticed a shift in service standards with many staff leaving in short notice the place isn’tthe same as it was when I visit on the weekends very disappointing as I used to bring my family along for the great service from these staff who have left

01/09/2024: Was very happy with the food I bought this evening in Alma’s , best battered fish I have ever tasted . The take away was really busy which is a great sign . Staff were friendly and polite. Take away was super clean .
