The best restaurants

29/12/2025: Absolutely terrible experience. I went in today and ordered a footlong sub, and I clearly asked if I could do half chicken, half steak. The employee said yes, no problem. When I got to checkout, I was suddenly charged for TWO separate subs instead of one footlong, with no explanation until I questioned it. The employee - a blonde girl with tattoos working the counter - had an attitude the entire time I was ordering. Rude tone, unhelpful responses, and acted like I was the inconvenience for asking a simple question that she already agreed to. If that order isn't allowed, that should be explained upfront, not used as a way to overcharge at checkout. Between the misleading information, the poor attitude, and the lack of basic customer service, this was easily one of the worst Subway experiences I've had. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this location unless you enjoy being overcharged and treated poorly.

06/09/2025: Staff are always so lovely and patient. It's very clean and always busy but always moving.

15/03/2026: The food gave me week long food poisoning. The drinks were poorly poured, they put water inside of their fizzy drinks to save money. Very poor experience.

16/01/2026: The Little Chip Inn in Rush is our go to takeaway and never disappoints. We usually order the Tasty Deal which is great value and perfect for the family. The food is consistently fresh hot and full of flavour. Family favourites include the donner kebab chicken kebab chicken fillet burger and the snack box. Every one of them is spot on every time. Portions are generous and the quality is always excellent. Highly recommend if you are looking for great food and reliable service in Rush.

03/12/2025: I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel I have to after this experience. I ordered two meals — a quarter pounder and a chicken wrap meal — and waited about 15 minutes in the chipper. That wasn’t a problem; I expected to wait. The real issue came when I got home and discovered they hadn’t even put the chicken wrap in the bag. I rang them, and instead of apologising properly, they just told me to come back and collect it. By the time I returned, my chips were cold, and the wrap itself was awful. Honestly, the service was careless, the food was poor, and the attitude was disappointing. I won’t be going back. Rotten experience 🤢🤢🤢

17/10/2025: What a hidden gem! Kate and the staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived (past check-in time) to the moment we left. We, unfortunately, had no luggage as it was not put on our flight from Glasgow. Kate went out of her way to make us feel as comfortable as possible given the situation. We had to alter our original plans of hiking (due to lack of clothes/gear) and Kate spent a considerable amount of time giving us suggestions for an alternate plan. We took her recommendations and were able to enjoy many sights and delicious foods and a great ferry trip to our next destination. The breakfast at Wild Honey was Absolutely Divine!! One of the best breakfasts we had over our 13 day trip. Such a great experience and we will be returning! Thank you Kate!

24/02/2026: Was a walk in on a Sunday afternoon, food came out so quick and was delicious. Ordered beef black bean & Vietnamese spicy noodle broth. View was really nice and you could look out onto the sea. Restaurant got quite busy after a while and the staff were great!

19/01/2026: We went here yesterday group of 20 people to celebrate my birthday, and it was honestly disappointing. We used to come here before and had good experiences, but both the service and the food have gone downhill. The worse part was the staff. They were very impatient and were very rude whenever we asked for anything. They were also constantly looking at us, and whispering to each other’s ears which was very unprofessional and made us feel like they were talking about us. On top of that, we didn’t even receive what we ordered, we were brought different items instead. From the moment we arrived until we left, we didn’t feel welcomed at all. We definitely won’t be returning

17/11/2025: I'd like to point out that my review refers only to the Mocha Beans guesthouse, which is located above the bar. My room was very small, with a bulky closet. Luckily, I didn't have a large suitcase, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to open it. The mattress is old and sagging, with springs that hurt my back. There are no electrical outlets in the bathroom, and to figure out how to use the shower, I had to call the owner because I wasn't told there was a button outside the bathroom to activate it. There's essentially no reception, and you're given an access code for the main door, which is the same for the room. I texted the owner several times in the days leading up to my stay to ask if it was possible to check in at 11/11:30 in the morning instead of 2:00 PM. He never answered, and when I called him after arriving, he showed up, saying the room was still occupied and that I had to return at 2:00 PM. I told him about my messages and that I hadn't received a response, but he showed no interest. Once I returned at 2:00 PM, I had to wait on the stairs because the cleaning lady hadn't finished. I had to ask for a hairdryer because there wasn't one in the room. I wasn't provided with a shower mat, and I only had a face towel and a large one. I struggled to sleep that night because of the mattress, and in the morning I woke up around 6:00 AM (the only window in the room is on the ceiling and can't be opened because it's too high, and there's no curtain). For what I paid, I didn't receive good service, and even the lady who prepared the room seemed very cold; she didn't ask if I needed anything. The cleanliness was passable. The only advantage is that it's twenty minutes from the city center. I definitely won't be returning.

19/10/2025: There is no check in as such for this bedroom so I can't rate service really. The room itself is clean and comfortable and an adequate size but there is nowhere to store clothes. There isn't enough room for a wardrobe. We were in room number 4 and the shower room isnt exactly ensuite but almost. It's opposite the room on a tiny off side corridor only for room 4. The shower room is spotless nicely tiled and the shower is lovely. There is no plug for the basin. There's no hair dryer or iron. The rooms are above a cafe so I think breakfast should be included. It is an easy walk into the centre of Galway city so perfectly situated.

17/07/2025: Dropped in for a quick lunch today, on a Thursday. Wasn't too busy so didn't take long at the counter. Went for the quiche with side salad at €14.95. After waiting for 20 minutes it finally arrived. It was a tiny slice with some beetroots, a tea spoon of coleslaw and spinach leaves...that's was it!! The slice was so small I was lifting up the spinach leaves to see if there was any more hidden. Total rip off!! It measure at about an inch at the widest part into a point.... I won't be back. Shameful

11/06/2025: Chaotic, low quality and high price. Long long waits for mediocre food. It is clear that the staff are trying their best under difficult circumstances. I don’t know who is running the place into the ground but they need to stop. Now.

24/06/2025: Ordered the pizza slice and I was really looking forward to it with a nice crispy base but what I got was a soggy burger bun with the pizza topping on both side, the bases weren't even toasted which might have helped. Took a couple of bites and put it in the bin.This is false advertising.

01/02/2026: Too many chips which were soggy and tasteless. They overdid the covering of the cod. I went there a few years ago and was disappointed and nothing has changed.

03/11/2025: A very tasty burger and chips. Reasonably priced and fairly generous portions. Would recommend.

02/08/2025: Got a vegetarian kebab. There were pieces of meat in it. I returned to the shop, the staff were rude and disinterested, denied that it was chicken. Wouldn't give refund. Cost 10 euro. Terrible customer service.

01/08/2025: Service was ok, friendly staff and quick enough with the order, but very disappointed with the food itself. The "fresh" cod meal was nowhere near good enough. The batter on the cod just wasnt nice at all and left an awful after taste. Removed the batter and just tried the cod, but it had absolutely no flavour so i do not believe it was fresh. Chips were a decen size portion but just didn't taste nice at all. €14 for a meal that i had to throw out about 75% of it into the bin. Very disappointed overall.

14/01/2026: Amazing little takeaway in West cork, chicken fillet burger at 5:50 is amazing, i get one every time I drive through Enniskeane
