05/03/2026: I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this an actually disappointing drive-thru service. Tonight my order number was #153 (see pic).They forgot the fries in 2 meals. I understand you’re all tired at 3am but i’m tired too and just want fries. You’re not making a michelin meal you’re putting fries in the bag. Whoever packing up the stuff to give to the customer tonight please get your eyes checked or change glasses to a higher prescription.

04/03/2026: Terrible experience, everytime go through the drive-thru forget to put some items in the bag and have to go back in the drive-thru again . Staff very rude questioning as if we were looking for a freebie, not good a customer service at all. Stay away from this establishment.

21/02/2026: Very disappointing experience — the worst takeaway in Portlaoise. We were told delivery would take 1 hour, but after waiting an hour and calling, we were told it would actually be 1.5 hours because it was Saturday. After 2 hours we called again, and the woman on the phone was extremely rude and dismissive, saying they were busy and then hanging up. Absolutely unacceptable service — a total joke.

06/01/2026: Has become our go to Chinese! Great meal deal offers and delivery is great too (we’ve always ordered through uber eats). Spice bag never misses and noodles are great too

24/11/2025: Recently visited this restaurant and it was a bit of a mixed experience for me. The main thing I noticed was the price – the takeaway menu is okay, but when you eat in, the prices are almost double for the same items, so it doesn’t really feel worth it to sit in. We ordered a chicken spice box and I was not happy with it, because there was very little chicken and it was mostly filled with chips. We also bought a shawarma wrap, which actually tasted nice, with a chicken strip in the middle and rice, but the wrap itself looked more like a spring roll wrap than a normal shawarma. The curry dip was really nice though and added good flavour to the food.

Detailed review: Pros - - Ambiance - the restaurant featured a classic Chinese representation - Chow Mein - the chow mein was generously prepared (quantity) with a good flavor Areas for improvement - - Quality of food - the kung-pao chicken and cashew chicken were nearly identical in taste with the exception of a few chili pieces. The complementary prawn crackers were cold and tasted of a stale oil Critical - - Price difference between takeaway and in-house menu - the prices (images attached) show about a 10+ euro price increase over the takeout menu. The prices are not commensurate to the quality of food or speed and quality of service - these prices were not advertised on the website and hence captured on the images

15/12/2025: Excellent spot for lunch, lovely food and very friendly service.

11/12/2025: One star only to avoid giving it less. We were coming from Phoenix Park and it had started to rain, so we were wearing raincoats. I don't know if it was because of that or because we were Spanish, but they gave us a dirty look when we walked in. They asked us what we wanted, and we said we were looking for somewhere to eat. A blonde woman with long hair and a disgusted expression said that if we couldn't see how full the place was, we should know. That was a lie; there were free tables. I wouldn't recommend the service. Go to Nancys next door; they treat you much better!

24/06/2025: My friends and I attended a Tea Class with Jenna, and it was such a fun and educational experience. Jenna was so engaging and knowledgable, we learned so much, tasted some amazing teas, and loved every minute! Thank you Jenna, you're a star!

11/11/2025: Food is good, service for take away ok but service in the restaurant very poor, it has change a lot in the years, waitress wasn't friendly at all and a bit rude explaining about the dishes. I wouldn't go in the restaurant for dinner.

11/02/2026: Dramatically overpriced, food was equally as sub standard. Some constructive criticism - it seems they have focused more on spending money on first class packaging, and lost their focus on what’s important for a takeaway - their food.

08/12/2025: I finally found you guys again, on Google maps. This is my favorite smoked cod for its sheer simplicity, perfection! Delicious, and think of it to this day. Take out.

15/09/2025: They have a variety of foods, cakes, breads, desserts, etc. I love the atmosphere because it's very calm, there's no pressure, and you can enjoy beautiful views. The staff is very friendly and patient. I love going there for breakfast and different drinks ☕️

09/08/2025: A lovely cafe at Rathfarnham Castle. We sat at a table overlooking the beautiful grounds. The display of food looked so fresh and appetising and we enjoyed our choice immensely. Thank you to a charming young lady, (who seemed to be new and training) that looked after us very efficiently. Such a hidden gem. Will definitely return
