The best restaurants

11/12/2025: More often than not, this branch of McDonalds does the job. Very occasionally, fries were a bit hard and crunchy and ketchup wasn’t given in drive thru but overall it lives up to be a pleasant experience dining here. The staff are attentive and the restaurant is usually relatively clean. Theres usually a security member present also.

15/11/2025: The place is fine, but having to go to the bathroom urgently with an hour to spare before closing time and being told I couldn't, and that I couldn't use the accessible restroom either, is shameful. If they don't want to work, they shouldn't make it so obvious.

02/08/2025: Coffee chain spot with public WiFi and plenty of indoor seating including outlets. Good work spot if you’re being a laptop/tablet. Decent coffee and food. Close to local shops. Street parking available.

24/03/2025: Certainly! Here's a review you can use: --- I have been a regular at Insomnia Newbridge for a long time, visiting almost daily with friends and our dog. The manager has always been fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and always accommodating, making the café a great place to relax. However, in the past few days, there seems to be a new supervisor who has made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Their attitude is unwelcoming, and the warm atmosphere we always loved has completely changed. Despite the manager always allowing dogs inside, this new supervisor has suddenly made an issue of it, which feels unnecessary and unfair. We haven’t seen the manager lately, and honestly, it’s disappointing to feel unwelcome in a place we’ve enjoyed for so long. I really hope things go back to the way they were, as this café has always been a staple for us in Newbridge.

23/04/2025: Very well known pub, I have been a few times for a couple pints of Murphy’s and I was delighted myself, is a pub with his own loyal customers and every week with live music I always remember this pub here in cork and looks like is a pub to be here for many years to come I hope so.

03/11/2025: Its taste was better than any other mexican chains in Ireland. But the matter is their bad customer service, so I get it why the rate is not high enough over 4 stars. It was pretty aggressive service for me, so I thought it might have been trainee but made me surprised that was supervisor’s service.

13/10/2025: Great Atmosphere, amazing staff great food, krissia was serving me today and she was brilliant i felt she did her job to an amazing standard, would highly recommend! Will be back !!!!

03/08/2025: Should just close it at this stage. Asked for a chicken kebab and normally you'd expect salad and the trimings but no such luck. As dry as cardboard, just chopped up bits of chicken thrown into a cold, limp pitta and not as much as an ounce of flavour. Very disappointing. The girl at the counter barely said thanks and the rest of the staff seemed like they had no interest being there. Nowhere near worth the €25 price. Been going for years but from now on I'll take my chances elsewhere.

11/07/2025: 4 years ago I got the worst food poisoning of my life from Antonellis. I hadn't stepped foot in the place since until today. Ordered 2 fish and chips. One fish looked like a battered fish and the other looked like it was begging to be put out of it's misery. It had been cooked more than once and tasted disgusting. I ate a small bit, struggling to even chew it and I have not felt well since. This place seriously needs to be inspected. Lesson learned, never again will I eat here again.

14/10/2025: Had breakfast here with mother, sister and grandmother. Food was delicious, good prices and great service too. Not one complaint. Will definitely return here.

09/10/2025: Worst flat white I’ve ever had, they don’t know how to make a coffee. They told me what table to sit at and before I could even finish my drink they asked me to move so someone else could use my table?! They told me to sit there in the first place. Rude and inept staff.

22/10/2025: Service is zero paying customer and female manager decided to deny a 3 yr toilet.so my child sat crying and waiting for a mentally unstable rude manager from not letting her use the toilet. After refusing us twice we had to go to a kind barber shop and i wasnt even a customer.last time i buy anything from you.disgusting behavior in dominos Unit 1, Castle Hill Centre, Castle Hill, Carlow, R93 T625 Dont have your name but ben in your store knows the whole story.ben and other staff refused to tell me her name and she clocked out and left.looks like the staff is also scared from her.looks like she abuses the staff as when i asked foe the manager name they were saying sorry and about to cry themselves.

19/10/2025: I thought in this day and age everyone is all about inclusiveness? Clearly not as I don't feel anyway included recently.. Horrible experience to feel so left out as they wouldn't accept my cash.

15/11/2025: Atmosphere is brilliant and cosy. I got a loaf of bread for almost 5 euros and it was so stale I couldn't even eat it. It was very bad and the flavour of cardboard. I got a bellyache after! sad I had to give the rest to the birds! I'd say it was more than 2 days old... The cakes looked divine though

14/11/2025: I used to visit this bakery/restaurant almost every day because the floor staff are absolutely amazing — always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They really make the place feel warm and inviting. Lately, I’ve been going mostly on weekends instead of during the week. Unfortunately, the food quality during the week just isn’t as good as it used to be — sometimes it can be a bit sloppy, dry, or just not quite up to the usual standard. That said, the weekend food is a completely different story — it’s beautiful, well-prepared, and genuinely enjoyable. It feels like you’re dining somewhere else entirely! Huge credit to the team for how great the weekend service and food are. I really hope the weekday menu can match that same level again, because when it’s good, it’s really good.

17/08/2025: Yes, it's a chain. But it is also a local coffee shop. Easy parking, abundant seating. Good espresso drinks, what's not to like!
